Texas Star Cafe

Really enjoyed this place. Love the soft ice in the drinks and quality of the food. Some of the sides are a tad expensive but these are the times we are in. At least you get great portions with their main dishes. Definitely recommend. My omelette was easily big enough to split into two, large meals. This is not a cafe where you get a small portion of the main with 3 sprigs of lettuce drenched in dressing because it’s fancy then charge you 15 dollars.

Good value in 2024 overall. Give them a try

I come here almost every Saturday after running around White Rock Lake. Every single time everyone has been super nice and polite. The servers are very good about getting your drink order quickly and their coffee is pretty good too.

The breakfast menu is extensive and they have something by for anyone—even if you are a vegetarian or vegan.

Some of my faves:

-Avocado Toast
-Far West (2 eggs, 2 breakfast meat and 1 side)

Their portions are pretty big so I always have to divide my food in half since I’m marathon training. I have never had anything wrong with my food and it is always delicious! Coffee refills are free and they are NOW OPEN FOR DINNER too!!

Monday, Wed, Thurs and Fridays from 5-9pm they have dinner. I can’t wait to try it out! I’ll totally support this family owned restaurant until I move. They treat you like family while you are here and I love it 😊

We ordered the Harvest omelet and breakfast burrito it came with extras and plenty was leftover to take home.

Our party of 9 went on a Saturday about 1030. Wasn’t very busy and we sat right down. Great spot and everyone loved their food, seemed to have more of a Texmex breakfast options along with some big ol pancakes and some good hash and scrambles. The server was obviously overworked but not really any delay in our service, she was very nice and good. Food was very good. Will be going back for a 2nd visit.

If you want just a good old fashioned breakfast spot that doesn’t charge $18 for eggs toast and bacon, this is your spot.

First time in today and we really liked it. Food was excellent, big portions, and a great menu. The pancakes were off the hook yummy.

Our first time here and it will definitely not be the last! The food is so good and that cinnamon roll was BANGGIN. My girlfriend loved her banana and neutela French toast. We will definitely be back to try more things because they all looked good and sounded good!

Stopped by to check out the new lunch menu. I had the Philly cheesesteak and my wife had the French dip. Both were very good. I really liked how the peppers and onions were diced for the cheesesteak. Bread was fresh and a perfect ratio of meat to cheese to bread. Staff is very friendly and eager to please. We will be back - so happy to have found this gem of a place, especially among all the corporate places in the area.

Love coming here for breakfast. It's all at a great readable price and tasty food. Great service and friendly staff.

Great breakfast cafe! Nice folks that work there, and good home cooked breakfast. The pancakes are HUGE, and delicious with hints of vanilla.

Lots of places to enjoy breakfast/brunch in Flower Mound, and Texas Star Cafe has made it into our regular rotation. We need to come back and try their dinner!

This restaurant is the cutest restaurant I've ever seen for one and for two Flower Mound needed that "mom and pop diner" and we finally have one!🥳🥳🥳 Great food!

I was excited to discover there was a new sit down breakfast restaurant near my sons school. This intersection needed a good breakfast place. I’ve eaten here twice and I have enjoyed it both times. The coffee is good and strong. The food portions are large. It wasn’t busy at all (8am on a Wednesday). Perfect for meeting friends for breakfast/coffee! This will be my preferred weekly breakfast place to camp out for a few hours while my son takes his class.

Just went there for the first time. Super friendly staff. Speedy service. Listen, I LOVE breakfast food, any time of day. I've tried an omelet at a couple dozen breakfast joints in the region. And this place, hands down, had the best omelet I've ever had. Wife and I split the ginormous "Texas Star" omelet. Basically a giant 4 egg omelet with everything in it. They get that griddle-seared flavor into it and it's just perfect. Their salsa is also fantasic. Generous portions on the sides as well.

Only downside: my wife ordered a blueberry pancake a la carte and the batter was still not fully cooked around some of the blueberries in the middle. I didn't deduct a star because the other food was THAT GOOD, but they might want to let their (HUGE) pancakes cook just a tad longer.

Bottom line is that we will be back, and soon. Tons of great menu items. I can't wait to try the chorizo eggs Benedict. Excited that they have both migas AND chilaquiles on the menu in addition to all the traditional brunch options.

The food was great! The portions were huge. The hazelnut iced coffee was delicious! I really enjoyed the service and the atmosphere.

Went to pre-eclipse brunch and thoroughly enjoyed everything. Server, Dagma, was courteous and always there when you needed her.

As usual food was great — everything I have tried has been good with large servings. Kimberly was very efficient and the service was the best!

Desiree was good, considering it was here first day.
Food was good. My Wife (from Mex) APPROVED of the Chilaquiles "Divorciados" , Woody- It was okay. Biscuit a bit too "bready". I prefer a more dense Biscuit but good. Good gravy. Only ate 1/2.
We'll be back.

Food is delicious. We have never ordered anything that wasn’t good. Excellent omelet selection as well.
