Just wow at the food. Haven't been here in a year and the hotcakes and dishes got even better.
The yuzu hotcakes were my favorite item and it looked as good as it tasted. The shakshuka was also 😍. All the coffee drinks had the right amount of flavor and nothing was too sweet.
My group also tried two pastries, the chai tea cake and lemon pistachio one. While we found the lemon pastry a little dry and crumbly, the chai one was so moist and delicious that we forgot about the dry pastry.
When leaving the restaurant, I saw other tables ordered the rockfish dish which looked huge and amazing. I hope to be back soon to try that dish

I like the take out window! It makes service quick for people who are taking coffee to go. Great local coffee stop. Definitely want to try the inside restaurant.
Update: Worth the 45 min wait for a Sunday brunch. The service is good and everyone is moving quickly. Fun coffee - def recommend the cold brew fruit bomb. The food is great and new takes on classic brunch foods- and reasonably priced. Loved the rockfish on pita

We didn't have to wait long to be seated. The food was amazing. All the herbs and vegetables were super fresh. The staff were friendly and attentive. If you haven't had their breakfast, that hash and sausage rolls were awesome. They only had a few gluten-free choices, but the hash was the best I've had. Coffee was also great!

Took a road trip from Seattle with my family and was able to convince them to stop here, and thank god I'm persuasive because this cafe was one of the best coffee experiences I've had. First off, the door handle was a giant double sided portafilter which was very welcoming, and the rest of the cafe was very modern, energetic, and smelled delightful. The staff were friendly and fun to talk to, and it wasn't too busy despite it being a Saturday morning. I've brewed two of their roasts at home so I knew the coffee was fantastic, so I ordered a long black of their Natural Geisha Panama and it was perfectly pulled, and a spiced chai cake which had a nice amount of spices and wasn't overly sweet. We didn't have enough time to sit and eat breakfast but I will definitely be back to order a meal because the food menu looked amazing. It is a little on the pricey side, but the quality of the products is definitely worth it. Highly recommend this cafe if you love high quality coffee and an overall high quality time.

The shakshuka was perfectly savory. The drip coffees woke me up and the panna cotta was some of the best I’ve ever had. The toppings are sweet but overall not too sweet. The ricotta hot cakes were creative but too sweet for our taste. We would recommend sharing those with a few other savory dishes. The staff are very nice and helpful.

I had my doubts at first about the ricotta hotcakes with how many flavors they incorporate, but it BLEW MY MIND! definitely recommend this place just based on that alone, but all the other dishes were also stellar - we had the potato hash and the Just Beet It salad.

Multiple people recommended it. They said it was excellent coffee, shockingly good food, and pricey. All of it was true, and I would go again. The pancake and coffee flight were epic!

Food was amazing! So delicious! Portion size was huge though but it made sense considering the price of each dish. Matcha latte and coffee latte were excellent! A little spicy for my liking but would definitely come back here.

I ordered take out from here. I was pleasantly surprised. I'm in town for work, don't have my espresso machine so I decided to try proud mary. Maybe I was expecting low coffee but this coffee was super smooth, not over extracted, the roast wasn't super dark either, which is surprising for a cafe. I ordered Lindsay's panocatta and wow. An explosion of flavor and textures in your mouth in the best possible way. And you taste every little aspect of it but in a very balanced way. Will Def come back here in the future but will pop in to see the atmosphere. Side note: for people with diet restrictions, there seems to be something for everyone but they at least label everything and their possible allergens which is nice on their part.

Out of all of the cafes we tried in Portland, this was my favorite. The ricotta hotcake was delicious. It has a few unique flavors to it that I loved but if you are more of a traditional pancake kind of person this is not for you. The avocado toast was good and the oatmeal was great (it has similar flavors to the hotcake). Make sure to get there early as we had to wait about an hour to get a table! Also try the Aussie-style iced mocha with ice cream!

Went for breakfast and end up having brunch. We love the food, service and atmosphere. Definitely worth the wait. In addition to the food, 🍹 we also liked the milk shake too. Highly recommend
