Shoten Japanese Dining

This place has some of the best Japanese food I've had outside Japan. Everything was fresh and tasty. Prices are great for the quality. Staff was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Restaurant is clean, and the atmosphere is relaxing. It wasn't quiet, but it wasn't so loud that we couldn't use normal conversation volume to talk. My only problem was trying to decide what of my many options to get. Even my 6 year old had plenty of things off the kids menu and appetizer menu she wanted to try. Will definitely be returning to try more of the menu.

I've eaten here or gotten take out dozens of times over the last few years and have had an amazing experience, delicious food, and consistent good service every. single. time.
Everything I've tried from their menu (and I've tried a lot of it) has been delicious.
I love the atmosphere; chill but also nice.
All the ingredients are always fresh, prepared well, and taste fantastic. Takeout never disappoints either!
I hope to continue to eat delicious food at and from this restaurant for many years to come!

Delicious fresh sushi and sashimi. The portion size and quality is amazing. You basically get for what you paid for. The servers always checked up on us, the atmosphere is lively and fun, and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend!

I love this place. I have been eating here for a long while now. And everytime the food is fresh. Very well prepared and amazingly presented the portions are perfect and priced accordingly. The staff is always fast, friendly, and offer great suggestions.
My go to favorite is the Ninja Vs Samurai. Tina vs salmon. So good. The sesame seeds bring out so much more flavor than I would ever expect. On my most recent visit I tried a bowl of the Mushroom Soup. The flavor is bold yet smooth. Not overpowering. And the amount and variety of mushrooms was spectacular. They don't offer it as a menu option on door dash or grub hub. And I really wish they would. The TnT roll, while it leads you to believe it's gonna burn your mouth and soul. Is rather subtle in the heat of things. The flavor isn't lost by the hot spicy stuff. Thier jalapeño poppers..are the most amazing way I think I have ever eaten a jalapeño. I have a bit of a sensitive stomach for them. But these leave me very satisfied and pleased. I highly recommend trying them. The sashimi and nigiri.Nigeria.. top notch..healthy cuts of fish..not to much rice.. and the ginger is legit. If you like sushi. This Japanese dining experience will leave you in disbelief that what you used to consider as good. This place is the best!.. Go, get you some. Then try and disagree with me.

My go-to sushi place. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fun decor for record lovers. My husband doesn't care for Japanese food but loves the beef bulgogi. Fresh, tasty sushi. Delicious tempura. Excellent saki selection. Definitely check them out. Closed Mondays.

Sushi, sashimi and bento boxes were all generous portions, tasty and great value for the prices compared to what we'd pay back home in Michigan.

The Ninja vs Samurai special roll was one of our favorites. Ahi poke tuna and grilled Hibachi collar on appetizers were amazing.

I've been here about 4 or 5 times now, and had at least a dozen of their menu items, and every single one has been delicious! Very nice portion sizes and prices, too!

Came in late in Tuesday evening. Menu is diversified enough to cover local favorites and authentic choices. We ordered sashimi salad, salmon/tuna roll, chicken BBQ sticks, scallop sushi: No complaint from a picky eater like me worth 4.5 star food! Plus great service.

Wow. We randomly stumbled upon this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. They've got a cool rewards program. They've got a unique selection of sushi that I've never heard of. I will be returning soon enough.

Delicious! We went to celebrated my husband birthday, I'm not a sushi eater luckily they offer a nice selection of hot plates, I can't wait to go again! Price is reasonable.

I'm heading back home to Illinois tomorrow and Shorten's is one of my last stops this trip.
It's my go-to place for fresh and amazingly great Sushi. I NEVER miss stopping here when I'm in Oregon.

Wow. This was sooo good. You get great portions. You can taste the quality. The service was equally amazing. Bento boxes are fun. The Hawaiian roll the freshest I’ve ever had.

Great food, fast friendly service, good atmosphere. One of my top places to eat. Shoten has been consistently good since they opened and I will definitely continue having them on my short list.

Ordered several sashimi dishes and rolls. Everything was very fresh and the portion sizes were generous. We will definitely be back!

I have been going to this place for awhile. When I say you get a shiz ton of sushi, you get a shiz ton of sushi. I had taken my dad here and hadn't informed him on how big the specialized rolls were, he joked about having lunch for the next day to enough.
Shoten has a variety of food for you to enjoy, even if you dont eat fish, want something warmer or colder you can get soup or a specialized salad. If you want to have good sushi that is priced fairly well and doesn't disappoint on portion sizes, Shoten Dining is your place.
