Slack is an absolute gem of a restaurant nestled in the heart of Joseph, Oregon. My experiences there were nothing short of fantastic! Every time I step in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality from Emily, Nick, and Allie.

The seasonal cocktails were a delightful surprise, each one bursting with unique flavors that perfectly complemented the changing seasons. Slack's bartenders truly knew how to craft a memorable libation.

I had the pleasure of attending one of their holiday themed gatherings, and it was a blast! The festive decorations, themed menu items, and lively atmosphere made it a night to remember. It was evident that Slack goes above and beyond to create memorable experiences for its patrons.

Great place, with great food, in a great little town. I don't know how you get better than this! My husband says the Reuben sandwich is among his top five meals ever eaten at a restaurant!

In late spring - early fall, don't miss the chance to sit out front, it's just such a gorgeous setting.

We love Slack! The food is great! They make everyone feel comfortable! The prime rib is the best in town! The outside fire pit is my fav!

They hosted a get together of 9 for my birthday today and we had wonderful service! Very nice crew, always amazing food, drinks were great, and I love the venue. Perfect seating for nice days as well! Kid friendly dining room and bar. They have more seating in the back for even bigger parties!

Wow, we were greeted and seated immediately. Our waitress was an absolute gem (daughter of the owner). The food, drinks and service did not disappoint! We'll definitely be back!

Since they’ve opened I’ve been to Slack nearly 6 times already! We showed up the Saturday morning they opened & enjoyed a beautiful flight of mimosas and delicious bloody Mary’s. We stuck around for an early lunch and so glad we did. I had the mushroom/onion bacon burger - cooked to perfection. My husband had the steak bites and frickles (fried pickles)! The steak bites were tender and juicy and came with delicious horseradish dipping sauce and you can’t go wrong with frickles! Other than the food being great - despite being packed every time we have been there and people waiting to get in our servers have always been promp and fun; we received our food in a reasonable amount of time considering how busy they were and drinks always cold and yummy! Best Long Cowboy (Long Island) I’ve had! As a local - we are so excited to have another great place to go!

Great place! Great vibe! Great people! The best food ever!! The prime rib is the best in town, we eat here multiple times a week breakfast, lunch and dinner!

Great little hangout. Not sure of it's Mayne newer. I thought it was a different establishment not all that long ago but I could be mistaken.

Nick was running the bar and the patio food service and he was outstanding! Fantastic whisky selection and the old fashioned that Nick made was done to perfection. Not too sweet, no muddled fruit, just a clean drink that highlighted the rye whiskey.

Similarly the food was not over done, nor overcooked, and the seasonings simply highlighted the quality ingredients cooked perfectly.

Had the burger with locally sourced beef and the Salmon. We will be back here every time we visit and strongly urge others to check out this newer establishment in the coast mountain town of Joseph.

Excellent avocado toast and mimosas for breakfast. Don't trade belt buckles or feed the cows...unless you want to spend all Sunday day drinking;) Wonderful mountain oasis!!

We stopped on a Saturday night. It was raining and they were great to find us seats inside. The staff was very friendly. The food was fabulous. Everything we ate exceeded our expectations. The chef came to our table at the end of our meal and it was a pleasure to compliment him. We will definitely go back this trip and on all future trips.
I gave a 4 star for the atmosphere because they are still working on the inside but I can't wait to see how what they have planning turns out.

Went here late at night after a long day of exploring the area. We arrived pretty late around 8:50p and even though the food was over at 9:00p, they still took our order. The bartender and the cook tonight were super attentive and kind. The burger and drinks were great!

The best dinner we have had on this adventure. The dinner salad was a masterpiece. Really beautiful. The steak was cooked to perfection, melts in your mouth, veggies were delicious and the potato so good. Do yourself a favor and have one of their drinks with a maraschino cherry. Those cherries are to die for. I could eat a jar. 😍 Really a must stop place for a meal.

The place was packed and we had a party of 8 but we had great service, our waitress was hilarious, and the food was good too. The family loved the nachos especially.

Beautiful outdoor seating location with views of the Wallowas. Service was excellent and prompt. They just opened a few weeks ago so maybe that had something to do with some of the early reviews. We’ll be back!
