Stoney Run Athletic Complex

Peaceful and accessible. I like going right after sunrise 🌅 ...the birds 🐦 know Spring is almost upon us!

Amazing clean, complex I was super exited seeing my kids playing soft ball her I wich they can borrow it more for us in the future I really love the asthetics. Also the parking is spacious and the grean areas are conveniently placed .

Actually an awesome place. It's back where you would think it might be. It opens up to 5 baseball fields in a star pattern and a soccer field. Play ground and concession stand also. Nice place honestly. And a basketball court at the entrance courtesy of our own Antoine Bethea.

The fields were well kept, and had nice landscaping. The only problem was the fields are in the back and there is not any signs giving you directions to them.

Really good facility, with a good amount of shade.
Fields are in great condition and drain well.
One of the dugouts is HUGE and kind of underground, it's a really fun experience to play on that field.
Concessions are just okay, but overall it's a great complex.
Parking is very good as well.

The park has a very nice athletic complex. We were there recently for a softball tournament and it was great. The cleanliness of the facilities and ground was outstanding. I only saw one trash can over flowing but I continously saw grounds keepers tending to them. Overall, it was a nice place.

Went here for a softball tournament, a very nice place and it is very clean and well maintained. It is well structured, as the concession stand with bathrooms is located like right in the middle, like all the paths in the softball/baseball area lead to it! Really nice!!!

This is quite the hidden gem in Newport News. I like to take my dog here to walk as it is a secluded area and very well maintained. There is a paved trail that goes around the property and generally takes us 20 minutes to walk from the parked car, around the trail, and back to the car. Dog pick up stations located on property. No Publix restrooms but there usually is handicapped porta potty on the backside of the property.

Wow! I hope the groundskeepers are paid well because they are beautiful! Easy parking playground near base/ softball fields. Wish this was my hometown complex!

Didn't know it was here until last week. Here today, 9 July, for a girls softball tournament. Fantastic facility. Good job!!

5 ball fields that are very well maintained, facilities clean, and lots of parking. When tournament plays parking requires many to use grass areas, w/o penalty.

The fields are well maintained, the bathrooms were clean, the staff was nice. Concession Stand had good food!

Great fields, and cleanest restrooms of any park we have traveled too, Ever! Great job!

On the park side:Great peaceful escape from the city.Very clean maintained quiet area.So much space great for my dog to run,play and excercise without any interuptions.. Love this place also a walking trail

Come out to support the local softball teams!! Mondays and Thursdays!! There is a playground and concession stand during seasons!!! They are your teams! They are the city! All different brands and types of people! They represent Newport news in the best way! Pick a field and enjoy! Bring your bug spray for games after 7pm.... Bring your umbrella or shade for games before 7pm! Of course fall ball is bug spray always and a light jacket to sweater further in the season!

Great complex , on this particular weekend the concessions were closed ....which was a big disappointment. When your games are back to back with 30 minutes in between games...there's no time for making a run to.the store
