AT's A Chicago Pizza

Born and raised 37 year Chicagoan here…

I moved down here from Chicago 8 years ago and have been waiting (impatiently) for a place like this to open. I’ve tried every pizza place I could find from PCB to Pensacola…and, although some were good (enough), none filled the void I was missing from Chicago. When I saw that we had a Chicago-style pizza place coming to Freeport, I was skeptical to say the least. I’ve seen a number of restaurants claim to offer regionally influenced pizza menus, but none of them ever seem to deliver…until now!!!

After carefully (and probably at least somewhat annoyingly) vetting the owners prior to their opening, I had their pizzas. They were spectacular. I was wondering if my delight was based on the disappointing pizza I had been eating for almost 8 years prior or if it was truly delicious Chicago-style pizza like I was accustomed to. For At’s A’s soft opening, I had two more, a thin and a deep dish, and, again, they were spectacular.

Fast forward a couple weeks, after a holiday trip to Chicago, which is always a pizza fest for me, I returned right before the grand opening of At’s a Chicago Pizza. Despite some “opening day delays”, our experience was wonderful. The pizza was spectacular in every way…exactly what I’ve been looking for and every bit as good, if not better, than any of the pizza I ate on my Chicago pizza fest the prior week.

My family and I have been back every Friday since and this place has become a true staple for us. We love the food! We love the owners! We are spoiled for having At's a Chicago Pizza in our little town.

Best pizza in Freeport…Best in the panhandle…Hands down!

I moved here over a year ago. I missed my Chicago style deep dish that I could get in DFW, Texas. There was nowhere in Panama City or Panama City Beach that made actual Chicago style pizzas. I just moved to Freeport from PCB and discovered this place. This is the real deal. It would have been well worth the drive before but I'm glad that I live pretty close to it now. If you're anywhere in the surrounding area and like a Chicago style deep dish, this is the place.

The business stands behind its food and has great customer service as well. This is now my favorite pizza place in the area.

The only difference versus the one I used to get in DFW is that the pizza at this place has burnt cheese around the top edge. But some people like that, and from what I've been told by people that have been to Chicago and had Chicago deep dish there it's more authentic to have the burnt cheese around the top edge. Some day I hope to visit Chicago and compare.

Ok so after calling Kentucky for a pizza that was in Freeport Florida, cause the pizza place there had “kinda” the same name as this one. I redialed and got the right place .. however I’d like to blame it on my speak to text and a little on my Philly accent for the google search that actually popped up!
BUT …fast forward to actually walking in the door first an for most i was greeted like i was family and had been there 100 x’s and when i was told the pizza would be out in 6 minutes i decided to partake in an adult beverage!
I met Angelo and his wife “salt of the earth good folks” and spoke to them about my first an only Chicago pizza experience, after a few laughs and our introductions i could tell he was a good fella.
Then I began the long trip home (really only 5 miles) but the smell of the pie coming from the back seat was driving me absolutely crazy so it seemed like 55 miles!
Me being from Philly i knew to put the pizza on the floor so nothing would shift in transit! Got home opened the garage door in half a sprint eager to sink my teeth into this delicious smelling pie…I was greeted by my two amazing rescue animals (whom i think might be part Italian do to their love of pizza) noses in the air standing on hind legs to smell what i had just brought into the house!
Really had to use the bathroom also but putting that pie in my mouth took over me and eating that pizza was my first priority . I popped the box open to grab a slice of that wonderful aroma i had been salivating over the entire trip home!
And man!!!…Pizza was cooked to perfection and had a nice crispy crust ….kinda of a cross between a Sicilian slice and a deep dish pizza but it did not disappoint! Packed with flavor and still piping hot i devoured that first slice and wow… this is coming from a kid that grew up on pizza bagels and pretzels in Philly !
I got the “Godzilla” Now if you have a family or kids etc. you might want to ask for it to be double cut cause the slices are big (perfect for me) but maybe not for some. You can tell the ingredients were fresh and the spice to the gravy -aka (sauce) was very very good!

Can’t wait to go back and try the Chicago hot dog now but give these folks a try and support an up and coming local establishment!

We love their pizza and sandwiches. Great local spot with owners who really care about your experience. The gyro and Italian beef sandwiches are very good. The Chicago deep dish pizza is high quality and the sauce is spot on. For the Chicagoans, this deep dish pizza is not the really thick deep dish pie with a slab of meat and layers of cheese that you find at Gino’s East in Chicago, but it is very tasty and will remind you of home. Be sure to give them 45-60 min for any deep dish order!

Stopped in for a late lunch and tried some Chicago staples.. Italian beef sandwich, Chicago dog, gyro and the Godzilla pizza. Everything was fantastic! Costner service was top notch. Will for sure be back and back and back again! Hands down best pizza I’ve ever had in Florida.

Two thumbs up! We had the thin crust pizza and it was very good. The sauce is homemade and has just the right amount of tang. The chef came out to check on our meal and the wait staff were very friendly and attentive. The joint is a little bit off the beaten path but is definitely worth the drive!

Born is raised in the Florida panhandle and multi generational here. I’m not familiar with Chicago pizza but we got the double pepperoni deep dish and this pizza was SO GOOD.

The flavor of the sauce and the crispy crust was to die for. I’ll be spreading the word out of this place and will be returning many more times!

Come here for a good pie!

Has an amazing vibe and sets the zone for a great dining experience! If you want the deep dish, it might take a little time but we'll worth the wait! Be kind to the employees, the owners are from Chicago and are doing a great job as they learn and grow...they are amazing people..get to know them! The thin pizza is our favorite and the sauce is one of a kind!!!!

Cute place off the beaten path. It's good to have a local eatery with lots of options, I really like the authentic Gyros as an option for a sandwich. The pizza is very authentic deep dish Chicago style.

Our family moved to the area in 2018 from Indiana where Chicago deep dish pizza could be found within an hour’s drive. We haven’t been able to find any deep dish pizza anywhere near Destin and surrounding areas, and I’ve been telling my wife we’ve desperately needed one! Imagine our surprise when we learned about “At’s” from a neighbor—we immediately ordered a Pepperoni/Sausage deep dish…and it was phenomenal! Best pizza in the surrounding area—one of the best deep dish pizzas I’ve ever had!

It's so nice and a welcome addition to this growing town of Freeport. Excellent food and excellent service. We ordered a large deep dish pie, and it was amazing. The staff was amazing and attentive, definitely recommending At's A Chicago Pizza, and we will be returning again and again. Thank you!!

All I can say is FREEPORT, we now have incredible PIZZA!!! Thin, thick, either way hands down its awesome. Crust, sauce, cheese, toppings. They’ve nailed it. Best of wishes to the new owners. You’ve found your new home!!!! WELCOME ❤. We’re blessed to have you in our little paradise.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! I ordered the deep dish cheese pizza and breadsticks. Best pizza I have ever had and the breadsticks were phenomenal too. It definitely exceeded my expectations & I will be back. Btw: I ordered online and picked it up and it was done at the time they estimated it to be. Staff was so friendly and very clean restaurant. Thank you so much for bringing this amazing deep dish to Freeport.

Angelo and his crew are top notch. Food is phenomenal,everything from pizza to sandwiches. I highly recommend trying them if you have not yet. 5 Stars Plus for sure

Had a 16” Veggie and it was really delicious! The owner and his team are a blast to talk to and treat customers like friends. I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

In town visiting family and noticed At’s Pizza and decided to give it a try. The two ladies at the counter were very friendly and the pizza was really, really good! I would definitely recommend At’s for anyone looking for a good pizza pie!

Best pizza we've had in a long time. Everyone came out from the back to say hello to my kids. They even helped carry the pizza and put it in my car. ❤

We did not dine in but super cute little spot for the best pizza around. We are only here for a few months but love love love their pizza. A must!!!!

Just tried this place for the first time. The owners are so nice and the pizza is fantastic! Can’t wait to try other menu items. So happy to have a place like this so close to us.

Definitely recommended. 5 stars. Angelo and Sofia are very nice and the pizza, sandwiches or Chicago dogs are a must try if you have not.
