Taqueria La Monarca

This place is incredible. Probably the best Mexican food ever. Started with a Margarita (excellent), chips & salsa, and the chorizo burrito (unbelievable). And if you like a kick, ask for the handmade hot salsa. Stop in, guarantee you will love it.

This place is amazing! The food is fantastic, very authentic and priced very reasonably! I had the Quesa Birria and my wife had the Arroz c Morisco... Superb! We will be back next time we are in Ashland, everyone needs to try this place

We stopped in during the week and had a delicious margarita and dinner. I had the shredded beef tacos and my husband had the shredded beef burrito. So flavorful and authentic!! Would highly recommend if you are in Ashland!

Amazing! The atmosphere is perfect, the food is delicious and the staff are friendly. I had a shrimp quesadilla and steak nachos. Wow!

Excellent everything. The food was amazing. I got the shredded chicken quesadilla. My son got the beef burrito. Both came out hot and fast with delicious beans and rice. The burrito was surrounded with fresh guacamole, lettuce, and sour cream. The prices were super reasonable. We will definitely be back.

Can I eat here everyday??? Absolutely amazing! You’re going to want to fill up on the chips and salsa but the fajitas are as good as any I’ve ever had ANYWHERE. Loved it!

Stopped for a late lunch today around 230. It was not busy and our meals were up lightning fast! Food was delicious and portions were large. Chicken fajitas for me and my husband got a massive shredded beef burrito! Our waiter was very friendly and checked on us a few times. This was a great choice for our day in Ashland. Will definitely recommend and go again if we're back this way.

Best Taco shop of them all! So many Mexican Restaurants but this one hides in an awesome brick building right on main street off the highway!

Stopped in because it was convenient, but it was a great spot. The food was tasty, the service was attentive, and the decor was pleasant. The owner stopped by our table and explained a bit of his story and how he had a plan for his restaurant for years before it came to fruition and how he had the opportunity to make it happen. Enjoyable experience. Thank you.

Fun festive atmosphere. Friendly staff with great customer service. Had a table of 7, and all meals came out fast, hot, and delicious. I would definitely recommend it!

Spectacular food and service! One of the best chorizo tacos I’ve ever had. Homemade salsas were amazing, too. Would definitely come back.

New to town for work. Hotel reception said this place was awesome, and she was so right! Fajitas were so good. People so nice!!

My wife and I are vegan and she's gluten free, so we are well aware that our order can be a bit annoying. The employees here have never once made us feel like a hassle though! The food is SO delicious and we love the people here. Plus, the margaritas are fabulous. :) I highly recommend!

Amazing service! Really good tacos, super authentic. I'm a queso connoisseur and theirs is supreme! Would go back regularly except we were just passing through.

It's probably no coincidence that Taqueria La Monarca is not only the best Mexican food I've had in the Northland, but it's also the most authentic. Their menu features a comfortable combination of the classic dishes you would expect to find mixed with some traditional recipes I haven't been able to find elsewhere.
We've tried new dishes each time we've dined, and so far everything has been fantastic. As flavorful as a home-cooked meal without all the grease typically found at a lot of other restaurants. Well presented, well prepared, and so delicious!
The restaurant itself is warm and inviting in part due to the uniquely decorated monarch theme, but mostly because of the smiles and friendliness of the owner and staff. I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Great little taco bar, food is super fast and everything is delicious. They even have authentic offerings like lengua. Best Mexican place in town right now in my opinion.
