Sutter Street Steakhouse

Fantastic steakhouse. Made reservations online last minute, they only had late times available. We showed up early and we were seated immediately. The staff was extremely friendly. The atmosphere is perfect, low lighting, beautiful Christmas decor and a clean environment.

The calamari was fresh, served perfectly, decent size serving and full of flavor.

Clam Chowder soup was bursting with flavor. It was not very thick but not extremely thin. Would definitely order again.

Caesar salad had a great flavor and was very fresh. The server was great and asked if we wanted the fresh anchovy on it that normally comes on it.

The sourdough bread was delicious. Served warm and sliced. Stuck the butter between the slices to soften it up. I could eat the bread plain and as a meal.

The steak came with a wasabi sauce which was not very wasabi at all. It had amazing flavor and went perfectly with the steak. The lobster was cooked to perfection and the drawn Butter was perfect.

The long island was one of the best I've ever had. It was strong but the alcohol was mellowed out by the sweet and sour for a perfect drink.

The Yule Mule was delicious per the wife. So good a second was a must. The fresh pomegranate and fresh mint leaves were perfect. The powdered sugar was the perfect holiday snow for the drink.

The wife enjoyed the birthday dessert, the child's meal came with a perfect ice cream scoop. The pumpkin Gelato tasted just like pumpkin pie.

Our waitress was amazing and great on the recommendations. She loved giving our son attention.

We have been in search of a great steakhouse since our regular restaurant was ruined by covid and the company's new direction. Cattleman's is garbage.

Celebrated my dad’s birthday here at Sutter Street Steakhouse, and it was perfect. We came in for reservation at a very late 8pm as this was all that was available due to a holiday weekend. Karlee S was our server for the evening.

A unique destination - with exciting food and drink options. Many items seem homemade / different from your everyday restaurant. Upscale with a great ambiance for date night, family events, or work meetups. Servers are knowledgeable and helpful. Even coming in at a late 8pm reservation, we never felt rushed either. Will certainly return and highly recommend this location to anyone considering it!

Wound up here kind of accidentally for a dear neighbor's birthday because a neighboring restaurant was too busy. Server was amazing (sorry, I didn't pick up the check so I don't know her name). Support staff was great, food was great. Chocolate lava cake mysteriously appeared in honor of the birthday girl (75). The two halibuts were amazing as was the single tail lobster. We also found an excellent wine that we all liked.

The only caution I can offer is that the restaurant is at the upper part of Sutter Street and there isn't much parking. If you do not want to walk uphill or cannot, I recommend arriving early and taking the shuttle from the parking garage. No problem for us (75, 63, 63) because we are all able bodied and active, but it may be a problem for some.

First time customer. I would recommend reservations. They have gluten free option's. The whole menu is great. The drink selections are incredible. The steaks were perfect and the mashed Potatoes are delicious. Creme Brulee incredible.

Amazing experience! Sydney was hands down the best server I’ve ever experienced, went out of her way to make our experience a great one. The food and wine was top notch, simply delicious!

Fantastic experience! The atmosphere was intimate and comfortable. We took some friends to dinner, who were from out of state. We’ve all dined in some nice places and Sutter Street was fabulous!
Attentive staff made us comfortable and welcome the moment we walked in.
We tried some fantastic cocktails while looking over the large menu. They have a magnificent wine collection and several signature cocktails. I tried the Apricot Sidecar and it was a wonderful, tart surprise.
We opted not to try an appetizer, but the bread they brought was fresh from the oven sourdough, delicious!
We all decided to try the Cobb salad, and Sutter Street offers a chopped and tossed version. My friend and I split one salad and the men had full sized salads. Large portions of deliciousness covered in blue cheese crumbles.
Timing was perfect, we ate and talked, and they brought our meal after giving us a pause between courses. I had the petit filet, rare and it was cooked to perfection. My friend had the fish special. It was flaky and rich, deliciously prepared. The husbands had New York strip, which they loved, with delicious garlic mashed potatoes.
Although we were full, we ordered a dessert to share, the crème brûlée. They also brought my husband a delightful chocolate mini-cake for my husbands birthday celebration. The desserts were to die for. We ate and enjoyed every bite completely!

Semi-casual upscale restaurant with amazing food in downtown Folsom. The food is pricey but very good. I highly recommend making a reservation becuase they get busy even on a rainy February night. We had Stacey as our server and she was great. I had a Doc Holiday cocktail which was dangerously good. My fiance and I both ended up having the Hawaiian ahi with a side of Asparagus which is served rare, and comes with potatoes. The whole meals was very good. We also had jumbo blackened prawns as an appetizer. We got 10 prawns and they were delicious and filling....The servings are all good sized servings. You tend to expect small serving at upscale restaurants, but you will leave here stuffed. We took our time eating, and ordered another drink then decided to get dessert and took our time with that & never felt rushed. We will definitely return!

The food was amazing! The salmon was so fresh and the staff was excellent. they accidentally put sour cream on my boyfriends potato’s and not only did they immediately fix it without us even having to ask, but they gave us a complimentary dessert for the mistake! Would absolutely return here

Spectacular service and even better food. The ribeye was amazing. Cooked to perfection. Delicious fresh seafood. I had the pleasure of speaking with Master Chef Ryan and he explained the care given to the selection of cuts, preparation, and presentation. The staff went out of their way to make our guest of honor feel special and taken care of. We will be back!

Honestly one of the best steak houses around. I took my extremely picky father in law here and he still raves about how delicious everything was. I like the New York and my wife enjoys the filet and lobster. All of the sides are delicious as well.

What a treat to have a real steak house in Old Town Folsom. Amazing service and 5-star food makes every visit here special. Highly recommended

Sutter Street Steakhouse has incredible food. The Calamari was perfect and served hot and crispy. I split the New York Prime Top Loin Cut steak dinner with my companion and we each received a side; I got the asparagus that was prepared so well I ate the entire dish myself. The desserts we shared where the mint chocolate chip sorbet and banana cheesecake; both outstanding. Such a memorable dinner!

The only negative I have was finding the location. Google maps take you to the parking lot but then you're lost finding the restaurant. Directions: go inside the underground parking lot and take the elevator to the 1st floor, the restaurant is on that floor. Or use the outside steps in the photo.

Update 3.1.23 - We once again were lucky enough to experience the Sutter Street Steakhouse with our friends. It was just as good or better than our first experience. We arrived for dinner with our friends at 6pm. We had reservations and were promptly seated. The restaurant was a bit noisy that evening, but not overwhelming.

We ordered the same appetizers as before, the Calamari and Warm Brie and Bacon Jam. And these were just as good as our first visit. I ordered a bottle of Justin Cabernet that my wife and I shared. We were also served warm bread when our appetizers arrived. My wife and I both ordered the Ribeye. Just fantastic. Cooked to perfection and melt-in-your-mouth. That's the way steak is supposed to be done. Our steaks each came with mashed potatoes, however, there are substitutes on the menu if so desired. Also included was a clove of roasted garlic. Yum!

For dessert, my wife and I shared the Crème Brulée and she also ordered the Chocolate Tini. She said it wasn't super strong (with alcohol) but was very tasty.

Again, another wonderful experience. Our server was wonderful as usual. Can't wait to visit again.

Enjoyed dinner with friends at Sutter Street Steakhouse in Folsom. Wonderful dining experience. We shared two appetizers with our group, the Warm Brie and Bacon Jam and the Calamari. The Calamari was great, but the Warm Brie and Bacon Jam was amazing; it arrived with toasted sour dough bread which we used to spread the Warm Brie and Bacon Jam. Really a delectable appetizer. For drinks, I enjoyed the special Wine Flight, which was a trio of Migration Pinot, Decoy Zinfandel, and Green Wing Cabernet. The Green Wing was my favorite of the three. My wife enjoyed a glass of House Cabernet.
My main course was the Surf 'n Turf which included a 6oz medium-rare petite filet, grilled prawns, and garlic mashed potatoes. Included was a soy wasabi sauce for dipping. My wife chose the twin tail Maine Lobster dish which came with grilled asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes and butter for dipping.
Service was prompt and courteous and not intrusive. Our server was Laura.
All in all, a wonderful evening out with friends, great food, and lovely atmosphere.

This place serves PHENOMENAL food...and that's a lot coming from a foodie! The only gripe I had was that the kitchen took a long time getting our food...and as a result we didn't eat until a little over an hour after we were seated. The only knock on this place was the slow service, and I get the impression that it may have been an anomaly. Definitely worth trying 😁

This has turned into one of our favorite places for date night. They have quite the wine selection and their oysters are tasty. They are one of the few places this far inland that I will order them.

I highly recommend making reservations ahead of time and arrive early. You never know sometimes if Folsom has events going on. Parking can get hard but they have shuttles on some days.

What can I say? From beginning to end it was an exceptional and enchanting experience. Alivia our host made our reservations, and our night. If there were as many stars on this review as in the most dazzling empyrean night sky, it would not be half enough to express with profound enough gravity how much she made our night special. Aaron was our server and was beyond excellent. From recommendations on wine to replying in French and helping with seconds and dessert, he was exceptional. The atmosphere was very classy and charming and the lights were set at the perfect low for fine dining. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the Ceasar salad (especially the croutons) was phenomenonal, and the desserts were full of flavor but not overwhelming.

Just had dinner here last night for a birthday celebration. From the moment our party walked in we had excellent service and enjoyed some delicious food and drinks. We will definitely be back.

What a wonderful experience!!! Drinks were amazing everyone needs to try the lemon berry drink! The server was so nice and knowledgeable about the menu and what was being served. The steak was cooked exactly how I wanted it and all of it tasted amazing. 5 out of 5 will definitely be back again! Prices are reflected in their amazing food and atmosphere.

The food was absolutely exquisite. Great combinations of ingredients. Good recommendations. Great quality food. Good wine pairings. I would definitely go back plenty of times
