Griff’s Italian Ice & Soft Serve

Cute, tiny Italian ice and soft serve shop right on the Heritage Trail in Export. Prices are really reasonable and the flavors rotate. There is no public restroom, so keep that in mind, but the outdoor eating area is great for a quick pit stop if you’re enjoying the trail, especially if you have a dog since pup cups are free!

Stopped by and met the owner. Really great guy, definitely a real professional! Place is super cute on the right bike trail. Parking is easy to access. Product quality is great as well.

The Italian ice is really what makes this spot shine. The best in Pittsburgh I’ve had. Puts everywhere else to shame.

Griffs is a great place for families to spend time together and enjoy some awesome, delicious treats. The menu has many options so everyone can find something they enjoy! Not to mention they also have pup cups for dogs! The employees are very nice, welcoming, and quick! Highly recommend everyone to stop on by! Even if you have your bike from riding on the bike trail, they have nice racks to store them!

LOVE, love, love this place! Margarita is the absolute best (it NEEDS to be on the menu daily!!). However, all flavors are awesome. Ice cream is delish too but more topping options would be great to add on. Service is always with a smile. Wish the tip screen would go away that is the only off putting thing here. Love Griff's!!

For the past couple of years, I have been stopping at Griff's every time I go on the bike trail. The Italian Ice ALWAYS tastes wonderful and refreshing! And I always get great service! This review is most definitely NOT fake!

We love that Griff’s has a bike racks, outdoor benches, & is right on the bike path. Normally we start out a few miles away, with Griff’s as our (very motivating) destination, enjoy ice cream/Italian ice, and cycle back. Sometimes there is a line (not surprisingly), but it moves quickly and the staff are friendly. All of the flavors we’ve tried so far are absolutely delicious!

Excellent ice and gelato, service is friendly , very reasonable prices.. Looking fwd to going back with the family when they re open for the season !

Oh my gosh, I believe their ice cream shop has only been open since May of 2022, but WOW! I have personally been there probably 5 or 6 times. It is so good! Very creamy, best ice cream around. They just added strawberry to their flavors, and it is amazing as well.
Their employees are the sweetest young people I've seen in a long time, that is so refreshing, lately you're not sure how you're going to be treated by anyone, but it is great for the younger ones to have such manners and kindness.

Quick service and many flavors that you might not expect from a small place. Friendly staff, ample parking right next to the bike trail. Nice place for ice cream or my favorite, gelato!

Well. This is the best ice cream I have had in a long time. The owners are great. They treated my grandchildren like they were their own. The staff was very friendly and efficient. For those that thought the staff was rude or slow. Maybe it is better they are working then sitting at home sucking off of the government. Have patience. We are recommending to all we know.

Stopped there for the first time on 4/3 and back today 4/5. Enjoyed the ice cream and the atmosphere right on the scenic Westmoreland Heritage trail with parking and benches. Look forward to the night walks and future ice cream. Dogs also welcome and pup cups available.

Honestly, this place has the most scrumptious Italian Ice and Soft Serve I have ever had in my entire life. Although the staff is filled with young adults, they are all exceptional with their service and always greet people with a heart warming smile. The owner is an amazing person as well. I highly recommend coming to Griffs to get a delicious treat that will not disappoint!

Nice little place to stop. Italian ice and ice cream was great. Free pup cup for my dog. It is right along the walking/bike path. Prices were more than fair. ($8.50 for 2 people plus my Golden Retriever).

Fantastic service. Arrived and had order in under 2 minutes. Fantastic desert. Awesome for kids. Love that it's on the trail.

Every time I visit Griff’s the whole experience is exceptional. The owners are always very friendly and welcoming. The staff is efficient and courteous. The ice cream is so creamy. The Italian ice is very refreshing. Best Italian Ice and Soft Serve in the area. You won’t be disappointed.

I just went to Griff’s today for the second time. I love patronizing family owned business with so much heart. The young people working there were busy, polite and friendly. My soft serve vanilla mixed with mango ice was awesome. I will definitely be bringing my friends here. What a gem to have nearby!

Wow, what a gem! Their Italian ice is second to none. Perfect flavor with small bits of fruit mixed in! The soft serve takes to the next level, it is just like Rita's custard used to be. Great stuff, good prices, add some hot soft pretzel sticks and it will be just like it was when I was a kid, if not better.
