AmeriGas Propane Exchange

Don't leave prepay deposit for a refill. I made a mistake. Left a $450 credit card pre pay. 1/9/24. The truck came a couple days later and said the tank didn't need any fuel. The gauge is wet and muddy and hard to read. I called 1/18 for a refund since they DID charge my card. I was told a check would need to be sent to me and that they couldn't credit my card back. I was told it would take 10 - 14 days to receive a check. On 2/1 I still have no check from Amerigas. I called customer service again and they said that they see I called on 1/18 but no info about a check being sent out. After being on hold and wasting another 40 min speaking to two different representatives I was told that all they can do is send a check and that it will take 4 - 6 weeks for me to receive it. They are also deducting $ 11.50 for a credit card fee from my payment. The customer service was terrible. I had to give my information each time and explain over an over again each time as well. I'm very disappointed with Amerigas .
