Café Ficelle

I tried Cafe Ficelle a while ago at the Ventura location and loved it. I had just got a coffee and pastry that time. So when I saw there was one in Camarillo also, I wanted to go back. I ordered a Chai Tea Latte, my cousin ordered a hot chocolate and mom got a regular latte. I also ordered a Poulet Roti Sandwich which is with roasted chicken. It was on a baguette type of bread. It came with a side salad which was delicious! I really loved the salad and would go back just to order that. :-p The cafe is a bit small inside but they do have some tables...maybe about 4. It is located in old town camarillo so there is plenty to do if you are there when the rest of the stores open. The advantage of going before stores open is parking is easy! :-)

Great coffee and delicious food. I had the breakfast croissant and a cup of coffee which were both great. We also had a waffle with blueberry and ricotta that was incredible. The cappuccino and americanos were also great. We took a couple English muffins, a chocolate croissant and an almond croissant for breakfast the next day and were not disappointed in those either! Everyone was really nice, helpful, and accommodating.

Really good! Delicious food. I would highly recommend giving this place a try. The lattes were amazing and they also have mimosas! Cafe Ficelle is a hidden gem. They have amazing French pastries and offer an awesome atmosphere for brunch. I will definitely return for a chocolate croissant.

I took my wife here for Breakfast yesterday because she wanted to go to Camarillo outlet on our way back from Santa Barbara. I was able to find parking right in front of the place. When we walked inside, there were a couple of tables open for us to sit. I got the English Muffin Sandwich and my wife got their Strawberry crepes. It didn't long for our food to come out and when I was putting in our order, I had small talk with the lady servicing us and I told her that we were on our honeymoon. So when she came to give us our food, she sang for us which was appreciated by us. I enjoy my Muffin Sandwich and my wife really loved her Strawberry crepes. She also got their iced Mocha Latte as well.

What a great, delicious, friendly place! The pain au Chocolat is an art piece. The cafe is efficient as well as warm and inviting so you can stay and chill or grab and go. Worth a trip and a tip!

Update: I made a mistake on my order and went to buy the correct vegetarian version and they refused to take my money and remade it - a true class act.

I enjoy stopping here when on my way to the SF Valley. Makes a nice stop coming from Santa Barbara or the other way around.

Prices are on the costly side. Food is good, fresh, made to order. Cappuccinos, lattes are delicious. A few times there have been lines. Moves quickly and orders prepared quickly. Staff is friendly.

Can be crowded and noisy.

Will definitely stop in again, looking forward to trying more offerings on their menu.

10/19/2022 this time I ordered cafe La Reine and the Avocado Tartein 1/2 order. Love ❤ both the coffee and thr toast. Excellent services 👌.

1st time -0 star for the Matcha (really sorry, but it is that bad) and 5-star for location and customer services. This Cafe is Cute. It is located in a great location with a great atmosphere. There were plenty of seating inside and outside. But don't get the matcha latte here. The butterfly matcha latte is just milk and sugar, unfortunately. You could not taste any hint of matcha. I was hoping for the best but went away disappointed. I will try their regular latte next time.

My all time favorite breakfast/brunch takeout, however they don’t alway answer the phone especially on weekends. I love the monsieur croquet sandwich!! I also enjoy the waffle meal and quiche, Lorraine!

This is a really sweet French Café. We love coming here on our visits to Ventura. It’s our first stop before heading to the beach. The food is delicious and thoughtful and the service is fantastic.

This is my second visit to Café Ficelle and all I can say is WOW. Their breakfast sandwiches are absolutely amazing! And the croissants are great too.

Had a lovely breakfast here! So happy to see small coffeeshops coming to town. The food was excellent, my personal favorite was the Croque Madame. 10/10 would recommend.

I live near this cute little bakery in Ventura - so mom and I decided to take Divot for a walk to the new one here in Cam. We ordered breakfast sandwiches and they are AMAZING! Divot even liked eating the fruit that came with it. Their prices are a little high but the quality and the good feels supporting local businesses makes it worth it! They even sale day old pastries. YUM!

Much smaller than it's Ventura counterpart, but big on cute. Mocha was smooth (beans by Verve Coffee Roasters). Servers were courteous and knowledgeable. Camarillo needs this place.

Love this place. Baristas are all nice and coffee is great. Just wish they closed at 5/6pm Mon-Sun

I would travel hours to have breakfast and coffee here!!!!!! One of the best cafe experiences we have had, and I have been in the restaurant business for over 30 years!!!

I can't say enough good things about Cafe Ficelle! We really needed a place nearby that combined really good coffee with delicious pastries and treats. The Guatemalan pour over I had was perfectly extracted for my taste and the latte was very good as well. The croissant really shines, and is on par with what you could find in France. Satisfyingly crunchy on the outside, and exceptionally soft and chewy on the inside, with a refined buttery flavor. With soft jazz playing above me I studied here for a few hours and came away impressed with Cafe Ficelle.

Wonderful relaxed ambiance with a little hustle and bustle, coffees were amazing and breakfast was cooked perfectly. A true french trained chef presented experience.
