We always love shopping local but this experience was incredible, I was able to call ahead with my order the owner gave me advice on color options and the turnaround time was less than 24 hours. I want to say what a conscientious person, business owner and master framer Mrs. Jeannie Shuckstes is. I hadn't been in her shop for a couple years. After talking with her father who was visiting, she pulled out 3 framing jobs that I'd earlier asked her to consider. There I was face to face with the old photos of my dad, my mom and my grandfather that I'd shamelessly forgotten I had left with her and hadn't gotten back with her. Jeannie, you are amazing! I apologize for having forgotten about them and never coming back. I am going to consult briefly with her and find out how to ship some earlier prints, I will be selling at an auction. I won't take much of your time and we'll hopefully settle up on finishing framing the photos you brought out the last time I was there. We have been using the Village Framer for over ten years. Jeannie is very good to work with. She takes extraordinary care with our materials which include difficult to work with older paper objects. We very much appreciate her enthusiasm, the quality of her work, and the price. We also appreciate the fact that the Village Framer is more than a frame shop, it is also a mini-gallery for pottery, paintings and photos from the mountains which define Waynesville.

Lucky for me that Michael’s didn’t have anyone in their framing department today, and therefore I ended up in beautiful downtown Waynesville at the Village Framer. Jeannie went above and beyond to meet the tight schedule for my job. She is so helpful and enthusiastic and her pricing seemed spot-on.

The owner, Jeanie, is extraordinarily helpful and knowledgeable, offering framing and matting options that compliment artwork. I had several maps framed by her with different types woods, and both came out perfectly. I will rely on her artistic eye for future framing projects.
