This is a nice small gift shop. I went here and was satisfied with my experience. This gift shop is a visitor center for the adjacent Salem Maritime National Historic. This visitor center has pamphlets about the historic site, post cards, and other knick knacks for sale. I gave this visitor center five stars because rot has nice pamphlets about Salem Maritime National Historic Site.

Great gift shop with a great variety of quality, historical items. If you have any maritime related questions, ask the staff. The lady working today was extremely knowledgeable.

This fun gift shop is a must-stop for travelers visiting Salem Maritime National Historic Site. It reminded me of the Pickwick's at the Bank gift shop found at the Strawbery Banke Museum in Portsmouth, NH.

PROS: This gift shop was very nicely set up and was very clean too. They had all kinds of Salem related items and they're probably the safest shop around cause upstairs is either a police hang out or security hang out. The lady that we met was very nice and had a solid convo with

CONS: We were informed that some of the workers find needles in the dirt on the outskirts of the shop. Meaning that homeless people use them in the area, making it a bad place to go to at night

OVERALL: Nice shop that you should go to next time you're in the area! Just go during daytime hours and you're fine

Great little souvenir shop! Wonderful that all proceeds support the National Park! Staff is very knowledgeable about the Maritime history of Salem MA.

One of the two best gift shops in Salem! The other is the Trolley Depot. And they are totally different from one another. Waite & Peirce focuses on nautical & historical items, Trolley Depot has more of a Halloween theme.

It's a neat store with friendly staff and a unique selection of gifts. Thankfully, the poster I bought made it home without a bend.

Old building site

This general store is actually the visitors center for the Salem Maritime NHS. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. You can get your passport stamp here. Of course they also sell the usual items at a national park historical site. There are bathrooms in the building behind this store. It's a historical building that was moved to its current location to be part of the NHS. It's very nice, worth a stop.

The building itself is a great thing to see. The gentlemen inside was super helpful for us. Gave a ton of recommendations for the area and had a map for the area with info. Thank you! Nice items inside for sale as well!
