Thank goodness they seem to know the regs and double check you at check out. Unfortunately they seemed unaware the new uniforms shrink considerably.

For an AFB with a huge joint service presence, the uniform items in stock is very limited with lengthy order times.

So incredibly FRUSTRATED! GSU finally on a base and can get uniform pieces.
No alterations thanks to a contract lapse.
No options of trying on shirts, No dressing room and can't open packages to even hold them up to shoulders.
The AFES employee measures neck and picks out shirt.
Now that we are back in the middle of a state with no Air Force Base..... Try and shirt and doesn't fit.

What are Geographically Separated Units supposed to do????

The staff are awesome. The store is located on a multi coalition base but primarily carries Airforce uniforms and the field uniforms of all branches. If you think you are going to get other branch dress uniforms, forget about. They would rather fill half the stor with the same tshirts and nick nacks you can get down the hall at the PX. But, hey, they have most ribbons and a 8th of unit patches in the military.
