Kline's Dairy Bar

Very good ice cream and I loved that they are open late. People are lining-up to get a taste of this local ice cream. Plenty of parking spaces, friendly servers, and a nice area to sit-on while enjoying this cold delicious ice cream.

Heard good things about Kline's so I brought the gang of nine (extended fam) to see for myself. Now mind you, some of the fam had already been to this establishment and had informally reviewed so it was a safe bet. It seems crazy but they have been serving up this good stuff for 80 years. Today, the flavors they were serving were chocolate, vanilla, and chocolate chip cookie dough. I think the chocolate and vanilla are standard but the other one changes by the week. I suppose if you can be successful with three flavors, why offer more. I got the feeling Kline's is not intimidated by those chains who serve 31 flavors as if they have no couth. The only negative was there was a line when we went on a wednesday night, of all days. I know this is just a fault of being great, but still, if you're great and everybody knows it, you should think about more than three employees on summer nights (unless its a hiring shortage thing). The three that were in there were working hard.
Lastly, its important to mention that the custard was good...really good. I went for the chocolate chip cookie dough and was not disappointed.

Ice cream was good, fairly priced.Wish they had a restroom,Or a place to sit inside.It was very cold outside and I hate having the grandkids eat in my van.

Wow. Amazing milkshakes. Cake batter, strawberry, chocolate banana, chocolate, and banana were all very tasty. Did not take long to make at all. Great refreshing treat on a super hot day.

Excellent custard ice cream! Three locations in the Harrisonburg area. Select homemade flavors are available depending on the day of the week & location. Salted caramel crunch w chocolate covered pretzels was one of two flavors today. I had a root beer float. So good & filling.

Wowza! Not sure if it's custard or soft serve, whatever it is it is damn good!

Love stopping in when I can for my favorite Vanilla cone. and it's unreal how busy you all are. We stood in line for about half an hour with a steady line from the time we got there and we watched fireworks after we were done and the line stayed steady til closing. This was the most perfect spot for Klines to put their business.

Great ice cream place! Their weekly flavor was peanut butter & cookies and cream. It was awesome! I love peanut butter but most places overdo it. The ratio was perfect and the ice cream was super smooth and refreshing!

Excellent ice cream and service!! Got a chance to try a flavor that I don't normally come across.

Been going to massanutten for three years and never went here. Decided to go and what a treat! Amazing set of flavors! Everything tastes remarkably fresh. Had the almond and coconut. Highly recommend after skiing but please note they close at 9pm

Great place. The ice cream was soft serve but was really good. The banana split was large and loaded with toppings. Only complaint is whip cream was an extra charge.

I’m a tourist from Ohio, and was suggested this ice cream place by a tour guide on a rafting trip we did. This place is great! They only have three flavor options, but they have so many toppings. I got a hot fudge sundae, and that was some of the best fudge I’ve had in a long time. I highly suggest this place!

Fast friendly service and the food is excellent, particularly the banana split!

A staple for visitors - This ice cream is out of this world. Went every night once trying it for the first at the beginning of the trip. For those who complain about variety, this place doesn't need it. The hand churned tasting/consistency, dipped ice cream is phenomenal. I'm not generally a "vanilla" from an ice cream shop person, but I even had the vanilla. Chocolate, Choco PB, and Brownie batter Malted milkshakes are wonderful, a taste I can't compare even to the best milkshakes in Central PA. If you are visiting, this is a MUST TRY. Locals, you don't know what you have here, this place is amazing!!!!!

There ice cream is superb. It is very splendid to lick. When myself and my aquiantance entered the serving courtyard the attendants happily offered a free milkshake due to the kindheartedness of their loving hearts. And because some fool left their purchase on the counter and never attempted to retrieve their item.

Delicious! I stopped here for the first time with my family on a hiking trip. I got a diary free smoothie which was delicious! Smoothies were the only dairy free options on the menu but I was very pleased with it. Everyone else got a variety of milkshakes and sundaes that they thought were great. Will definitely stop back whenever we’re in the area!
