Koro Koro Rice Ball Cafe

Very delicious. It’s my first time eating at this place. I had the Onigiri of the Day which was a Coconut Curry Chicken onigiri (the yellow curry one in the photo), and I had a Salmon & Kimchi rice ball (the pink one). Both were different than the traditional ones I’m used to but they were very flavorful, creative and delicious.

The customer service was awesome. The guy was polite and made my order quickly and efficient.

Be careful opening the rice balls! There are instructions on the wrapping it comes in and it was a little tricky at first for me. After the first onigiri, opening the second one wasn’t hard.

They have vegan options! We got the vegan teriyaki. Very yummy. My friends got non-vegan options and they were loving them as well.

Not too greasy or dense. I’m very health conscious and really look places that won’t make feel super heavy after. This was a perfect filling snack or meal

We loved this place. The owners were friendly and they were welcoming, it felt like the best place to go in the neighborhood. The food was delicious. All the rice balls were as described on the menu and I also got a delicious turmeric tea. We will definitely be back.

I really love this place. I’ve been a few times pre covid and I was hoping they would make it and so glad they did! I love having this quick and handheld food to go. Growing up on Pokémon seeing the rice balls and now loving them is awesome! The options are so good I love the changing menu and the combinations so they have something for everyone for sure worth the visit!

I always enjoy this place. My favorite is the Moroccan rice ball. Staff is always very friendly. I’ve been taking friends and family here for years now. They love the novelty of the rice ball. However, they are quite unique and delicious.

My favorite place to grab lunch in jersey city. This cafe has amazing rice balls something I wish I could find in other towns - Yes I do travel just to get a delicious bowl of miso soup and a rainbow Masubi. Staff is super friendly and the service is super fast. Great if you’re in a hurry and want a healthy choice. Owner is super cool and knowledgeable. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Really tasty and fast! I had the kimchi soup which had a bit of spice and salmon & tuna musubi.

These Japanese inspired rice balls are delicious! The spicy salmon, miso beef, Korean bbq, truffle tuna, spicy rainbow and cochinita pibil are real stand outs. I also love the umeboshi onigiri. The special chorizo rice ball currently being offered is great too as is their potato salad. Staff is nice and wait is minimal.

Nice spot to have a bite. Good selection of Japanese rice balls including vegetarian options. Reasonable prices

I don’t understand all the bad reviews about the change of owners. The current staff is adorable and has always been since I first came, and the rice balls are just what you need for a quick on the go meal. There’s plenty of different flavors, and of course veggie/vegan options.

I love the food. Perfect walking food that's not pizza.

I guess they're going for a fusion thing which can be weird, but it's cool to get like a Moroccan flavor sometimes. Umeboshi (pickled plum) is traditional and very reliable. They always have some sort of special as well. Perfect especially when want a mid-day snack or something less than a pile of food.

Great place. Great food. Very Cool Boss. Staff is pretty cool. As well as employee “KOBE”, I highly recommend that you get your meals made from the employees named Jan & Maria as well!!!

Koro Koro has not let me down yet. I discovered it on a whim while doing some work in the Jersey City area, and let me tell you I've craved it ever since. I recently had a chance to return and I can say that I was still impressed with how delicious the Onigiri was and how friendly the staff was. Please give them a visit, they are growing and have recently opened a spot in SoHo. Best of luck and will be back soon.

Walked by here a few times and finally decided to try the rice balls. Wish I came sooner! We ordered 7 different rice balls and all were incredible. Will absolutely be back!

I got the Yama, Umeboshi, and Chili Chicken.

My favorite was the Yama. Unlike the offerings at Mitsuwa, the flavors at Koro Koro are comparatively exotic, but I can appreciate the varied menu items.

The Umeboshi was incredibly salty, but all three rice balls I got had a good rice-to-filling ratio.

I'll be sure to return and try more flavors!

This shop is super cozy and very inviting! The staff is always smiling and they are so quick in making orders! I have eaten here at least 6 times so far and I will keep going back as a customer. I love the food here and I am glad I found this gem in the historic downtown area :) I tried almost everything on the menu...I will be sure to try everything before the year ends! :)

Koro Koro is so yummy! As a gluten free human I love that I can get anything in there and know I'll be good to go. The only thing better than their delicious rice balls is the kind and friendly staff. Highly recommend this little gem in the heart of Jersey City.

These guys know how to make a rice ball... I assume... They're the only rice ball I've ever eaten... It was sublime.

Nice place - and good vibes !
Just tried the bbq rice balls it was really good (first time I try it).

Owner took the time to personally introduce the menu and even offered me samples to discover the different rice balls.

Will be back!!
