My friend wanted to try Viet food so we came here for a small bite. Honestly, I don’t have much experience when it comes to this cuisine, but the waitress was so kind to give great recommendations. We actually ate beforehand and regretted it, should’ve came on empty stomach because the food was so tasty and flavorful. 🥺 Also although the curry bread puff(?) took some time, it was worth the wait. They actually made it fresh?! I was expecting them to just microwave hard bread or something but they did not disappoint, it was freshly-made, soft and flaky. Def revisiting in the near future 💖

Spicy beef lemongrass noodle soup is a very good alternative to the common pho noodle soup. The satay chicken was pretty good as well! Do not expect a sub-$20 meal here

Had dinner there last night for a friend’s birthday and it was EXCELLENT. From the time we came in, until the very end, and we stayed past their closing time, they were quick, delicious and accommodating!
All 4 of us enjoyed our food.
I ordered the seafood stir fry and it was beautifully presented, tasted great and was filling for the price. My friends enjoyed their meals as well, especially the birthday girl! She had beef with vegetables and rice. Another friend had chicken with vegetables and rice; and the fourth friend, who came late, was served instantly and her food came out almost instantly.
The birthday lady ordered champagne and it came in the cutest little bottle, she was pleased.
For desert two of us shared a sticky rice pudding with taro and the other two had the banana bread pudding. Both desserts were terrific.
All of us left very satisfied in the experience here and will definitely be back in the near future.

Our friends raved about this place and it's one of their regular visit places. I could not have loved the food more. The food was amazing! I had the mango salad which was so refreshing and the sauce it was tossed with was so tasty. I ordered the Asian vegetable soup for entree (had the chicken broth) which was very tasty. The waiter was very patient and friendly. They accommodated few changes to the dishes too. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to try healthier and tasty food.

Another great night at the Saigon Cafe!!! Vibes are great, owner and staff are great, the best part…the recipe!!! I have dinner here monthly sometimes biweekly. This place is home.

Had the vermicelli egg rolls, exactly what I was looking for. It was delicious!

Update: I had my normal bowl and the banh mi to go today....omfg, grab a banh mi to go too!

One of my favorite restaurants in New Jersey located on a walking street. Pork ban hoi vermicelli noodles are out of this world.

I tried their Spicy Beef Lemongrass noodle soup and it was unlike any other noodle soup in the area! It is a very unique dish with three types of meat and shrimp paste. I had it while I was sick and it was very soothing and healed the soul. You won’t find this item on their online menu, it’s only at the restaurant but I would highly reccomend it!

Great authentic, healthy taste, consistently since our first visit in 2010! Pure taste prepared with excellent ingredients and passionate techniques.

My regulars are bo luc lac, beef rendang, pho bo, seafood udon, fish dishes, claypot curry, but everything is great!

This place is fanatics, broth color doesn’t matter, different places have lighter or darker broth depending on the recipe. Can’t imagine having the audacity to tell another cultures cuisine that their making it wrong, really wild to me. Flavor wise it’s a perfect balance of minty, beefy and it’s very aromatic and fresh! The know what they’re doing phosho!

I have been going here for the last 4years and I am a fan of their pho. And curry chicken puffs. Also try their curry chicken with sticky rice. Very neat and lovely lovely food. Ah and try their Vietnamese beer Saigon and sakes

Best Rendang beef I've ever found. Also, the clay pot curries and the pho is always excellent.

The best Vietnamese food you can find. You will note the superb technical skill and culinary acumen that has gone into preparing the excellent dishes.

The staff is friendly, helpful, and efficient. The prices are reasonable. You'll find nothing less than an 8/10 on the entire menu.

I’ve travelled dozens of countries and dined at many Michelin rated restaurants all over the world, but when I need my comfort food in jersey city, this is my default restaurant. The food always hits the spot and the owner has been very friendly to me since I’ve been coming here for a couple years. I was limping today due to nerve pinching pain shooting on left foot from herniated disk. He carried my take out orders and walked all the way to my car. This restaurant is an anchor institution to jersey city and I hope it thrives. Best wishes.

South East Asian food done really well. Drinks were perfect as well. I have passed by this spot for 4 years, I'm glad I finally gave it a chance last night.

This is one of my favorite go-to restaurants in JC! Love their pork vermicelli bowls.

Hands down the best Vietnamese food in the world. I've went here for years, family run business and everything made from scratch, even the spring rolls which is an al most non-existent practice, seeing that other Vietnamese restaurants sell you frozen rolls. Trust me, you have to go here about 10 times to try all of thier amazing dishes. Also have an amazing top shelf bar, where the owner is an expert mixologist, so just tell them what you like and they will mix up something great!

Their sticky rice and seafood dishes are phenomenal.leave room for dessert so you can get the purple yam dumplings, SO GOOD.

The best pho is Jersey City hands down! Everything I’ve ever ordered here has been great - but the pho is absolutely divine.
