Subia's Vegan Cafe

Delicious food from delightful people with a quiet, cozy atmosphere. We got better service than from most waiters at full service restaurants. The food is so flavorful, but not overwhelmingly salty. Nothing was dry, either, everything was fresh and moist. I usually hate gluten-free versions of foods, but their gluten-free waffles are extremely moist, like a mochi/waffle hybrid.

I also had no problem getting a table and an outlet on a Saturday afternoon, even when nearby cafés were packed. It's a great place to bring a laptop or gather a small group!

We love going to Subia’s! We’ve been here a few times and it’ll probably be one of our weekend brunch go-to spots. Subia’s is definitely the best vegan brunch spot in New Jersey! The food is so delicious!! I love the triple decker sandwich and the blt with cheese sandwich. The breakfast wrap is also so flavourful.

The staff are so friendly and nice, which makes for a great experience all around.

I’m excited to try other menu items! They have a lot on their menu, more than I expected for a cafe, but everything we’ve tried so far has been great.

Feels like home in USA and when you are too far from your family the food here was so delicious that I will definitely visit again and again to try different things on menu love love my husband and me we had the best breakfast in a while

The food was so good! Loved how big the sandwiches were and the platter was a big portion.

If you are on the fence and need to make a decision just DO IT!!! Awesome vegan food and excellent service. Had the pleasure of speaking with the owner, Yvonne, and hearing a little about the history of the location and how much work they put into their business. Got the breakfast wrap and veggie wrap, so so so so AWESOME ! So much flavor and extremely filling. Normally I get two wraps just to be safe, assuming most places offer small portions, but this was not the case. . .portions were great and I felt very satisfied after finishing my meal. Sauce and seasoning was on point, and cole slaw on the side was a nice added touch. If you are in jersey city, hit the brakes and pull over, because this vegan cafe is calling your name!! Thank you Yvonne for your wonderful service to the community and for providing an amazing value with plentiful options. You are not only doing a service for the animals, but you are providing immense value & quality for all your customers. P.S. stopped by Subia’s on Sunday on a whim, and was not disappointed. i was greeted by a very kind person who told me a bit about the cafe/food options and offered me a menu and a place to sit. i enjoyed the simplicity of the location and the focus on service and food. i ordered the BLT with tofu scramble and it was delicious, (if you don’t like messy sandwiches this may not be the choice for you) but it was SO GOOD. i also ordered a smoothie that was exquisite. overall my experience was delightful. i ended off with a VEGAN CANNOLI yup. and it was THE BEST! told them if they didn’t see a review that means the cannoli was subpar - but i was very impressed. will definitely recommend this place to others and will be returning to try other items on their menu. thank you to the lovely staff i had the pleasure of interacting with. Subia’s was my go to restaurant when I worked in Jersey City. It was my shelter place because of the owners, Yvonne and Nilsa. These are the most beautiful people you will ever meet. Their loving attention to the customer translates to the food which is good for the body and soul. I recently returned there and they knew exactly what I would order, going back ten years! A magnificent painting of Our Lady of Guadalupe adorns a wall of this blessed place and I cannot adequately express how much Subia’s has touched my heart and soul with its light and love and yes, God’s holy presence. Experience it for yourselves.

The sandwiches are sizey, quite shareable, beautifully crafted and most importantly taste super fresh.

- spinach, chickpeas and vegan cheese
deeeeelicious!!
Omg sooo tasty with a lil kick and the crust was just amazing.

The desserts were scrumptious!

1- death by chocolate — not obnoxiously sweet — LOVED IT!

2-carrot cake- beautiful cake texture
DELICIOUS!

3- cannoli— this one shocked me- as it was waaaaaaay better than the cannolis Italian bakeries sell.
The filling was so silky.

The “Philly cheesesteaks”
Is a must. A little pricey but delicious. Clean environment, friendly staff and will return again.

Love this spot. Got tuna melt and vegan tempeh sticks. 10/10 on both. Got brownie(super good but a little expensive). The juice was really good too.

Absolutely delicious! Enjoyed every bite - from waffle to zen garden sandwich to country chick’n wrap. Will be making my way through the entire menu. Highly recommend!

I used to frequent this establishment years ago and would always get one of their smoothies and now I am a steady customer since my new job is in the area. I absolutely love their food and their smoothies are divine. The owners are very friendly and inviting and the place is very cozy and well decorated. Highly recommend

THE MOST MAGNIFICENT FAMILY OWNED VEGAN CAFE!!! The Peaceful ambiance, the nourishing food/beverages made with LOVE, and the Kind owners are unforgettable. The moment you walk through those doors you are BLESSED by a Holy presence. I Am Beyond Grateful for its existence.

This place was one of the best vegan cafes I have ever been to! I have been waiting for 5 years for a vegan cannoli and a vegan boston cream donut and they had BOTH! Also their BLT was to die for. The bacon is house made and tastes so excellent. The owners are very friendly and accommodating also. Highly recommend!

Awesomely tasty vegan/vegetarian food including smoothies, tacos, wraps, entrees, and desserts! I had the Breakfast Wrap which they recommend and was as delicious as they said. I also bought a vegan cannoli. They have a mini market too including VegNature's "Fresh Goat Cheese" vegan cheeses that I tried before but hadn't seen in stores yet!

This restaurant is a must-visit for vegans and non-vegans alike. The food was absolutely delicious! I tried multiple entrees from the menu, and every dish was a delight. The staff was very warm and friendly, and the atmosphere was inviting. Even though I'm from out of town, I ordered both takeout and food to take back on the road, which was about an hour and a half away. The vibe was enjoyable, and the food was excellent. Everything I picked was scrumptious and satisfying. I will definitely be returning the next time I'm back in town.

Nice atmosphere, coconut corn chowder soup was amazing and so was the California Dreamin' Burger. Dessert brownie was delicious. Great vegan place, wish there were more like it in Hudson County.
