Best company ever, hands down.

As my area is built up with yet another housing development owned by an out of state developer, built by non-local tradesman (local people don't want to be associated with the quality level that these new housing tracts are being allowed to subscribe to), and plotted by this out of town engineering company whose care for local communities is guided by the infamous bottom line.

We COULD develop superb communities, but it would cut into the profit for the engineers, the contractors, and most importantly: the out of state developer. Heck, the McMansions on the South side of town are a fire hazard according to ALL the local fire people. Streets are too narrow for their big equipment and the McMansions are so close to each other that they'll all go up.

If all civil engineers demanded that developers stick to a higher bar rather than looking for the next large development check... Think back to that first year engineering course where they showed you the Narrows Bridge and collapsing stadiums. Housing developments also have huge impacts on a LOT of folks!

Potential hires beware: The friendly facade is lifted the second you question authority or challenge disrepsectful/impersonal management styles. Benefits package is great, but apparently at the cost of your soul. The saying: "Weak leaders demand deference. Strong leaders welcome dissent" is totally lost on management... Not in my 18 years of experience have I ever felt disenfranchised by an employer the way I felt here after 1 month. Their lack of respect for the Land Surveying profession and accomplished/experienced Surveying professionals is evident in their high turnover rate of licensed surveyors.

Guy driving one of their trucks passing in construction zones with no regard for workers on the roads safety! Can’t imagine what kind of work/safety they lack employing people like that.
