Cream Northwest

This place is super cool. Cream Northwest is inside of a sleepy bookstore tucked away in downtown Newberg. We tried three different ice creams; vanilla custard, wild blackberry and pistachio honey. All of them were fantastic. Will go back again!

They made the waffle cones FRESH!! Right in front of us. Seriously great ice cream also. No idea if it was organic or fresh or from Wagyu cows or from cows milked by virgins. Do.Not.Care. The ice cream was so good and flavorful and the kid helping us was really great. The cold brew coffee caramel flavor was like a slap in the face - thats how great it was. If you have the time, def stop here. If you don’t have the time, change your schedule. Newberg seriously rocks lately.

This is an enchanting oasis! We’ve enjoyed perfectly made lattes, refreshing lavender lemonade, and delicious mango-passionfruit sorbet. Plus, there’s a charming bookstore stocked with games and knick-knacks. It's the perfect spot for a cozy retreat with unique treats and fun finds.

This place has the best tea flavored ice cream and mint ice cream that my fiancé and I have ever tasted! We have agreed that we will have to come back, even when we move away from Newberg! Their ice cream and amazing waffle cones are incredibly delicious!

This place is awesome! I took my son here to get an ice cream - all handmade and handmade waffle cones. The have a great selection of books in the store and also have amazing coffee! I would definitely recommend a visit.

I only worked in McMinnville for a week, but I avoided the hwy home and stopped here TWICE to buy pints. I've also had Salt & Straw in Portland twice, and I'd take Cream NW any day over S&S. And not just because it's an ice cream shop inside the coziest coffee shop/slash bookstore on the cutest main street (I seriously entertained pitching a blanket tent in the front corner by the window and practiced refusing to leave when I would inevitably be asked to).

I love love love ice cream. Anytime, anywhere, no matter the weather I will eat ice cream but some places don’t have what it takes to sell the best. cream northwest is the place to go for the best ice cream for miles! It could easily compete and surpass the big ice cream shops in portland. Their seasonal flavors are so unique and the regular flavors are great. We come here anytime we are in newberg which is often and we buy the pints. There’s consistency in the creamy flavors, no samples due to covid and the bookstore area and coffee shop next to them are peaceful and together they compliment a great atmosphere where you feel comfortable. My kids like the root beer and honey vanilla flavors, I love their coconut based dairy free flavors. It’s great that they have flavors that the entire family can enjoy.

Best ice cream place ever. Very good ice cream and you just can't beat the fresh warm waffle cone that's made when you order. The staff is very friendly and makes good recommendations. We will be going back for sure

This is the absolute best ice cream I've ever had in my life. Beats Salt & Straw by a long shot. We drive 30 minutes for Cream's ice cream and made-to-order waffle cones. We love it so much that we buy pints to take home! My favorite flavors are blackberry, sour cream & strawberries, and boysenberry cheesecake. Don't change a thing, Cream! Except maybe start a loyalty program for your crazy fans. 😊

The waffle cones are fresh and to die for, ice cream is rich and creamy, good selection of books.

Pro tip - get the waffle cone. They are made fresh for each order and are delicious. The bites with ice cream and a little bit of warm fluffy waffle cone are so tasty.

All the ice cream flavors were scrumptious and it was hard to narrow down our choices. Nobody ended up disappointed.

Service was great and about the pace you'd expect for fresh waffles cones.

Location was cool, and the co-located coffee shop is worth a try as well.

So good!! It’s right inside the same building as the coffee shop. So my teenager and I got our coffee, then we got ice cream for my youngest daughter while we waited. They put her kids scoop in a waffle cone and she loved it!!

Amazing unique ice cream flavors, fresh made waffle cones when you order. Coffee too. It's inside a super cute little bookshop with cozy places to sit and socialize or read. The whole family loved it!

Amazing ice cream situated in a local bookstore. We stopped by while passing through. Totally cool people and gourmet, but relatively simple ice cream flavors. The cold brew ice cream was the best coffee flavored ice cream I have ever tasted. Well worth the stop.

Yeah, it’s super good. Fresh waffle cones that are made for your order. We loved the creamy, delicious ice cream for the vegans and non-vegans in our family. We will definitely be stopping the next time we’re in the area! If you’re from P-town, it’s worth the drive or the stop in Newberg.

Warning: Some people may be shocked about the price. It's not necessarily cheap for ice cream, but when you taste it...

Oh boy, Cream's ice cream is worth every dollar. Extremely creamy, absolutely delicious, and handmade cones on top of that. Most flavors are also gluten free, a huge bonus for those with gluten sensitivity (and they note if they're not gluten free!). There's even some (admittedly limited, from what I've seen, though I'm pretty sure they can accomodate), dairy free flavors that I've also tried, they're just as good as the regular stuff. Typically, they have plenty to choose from too.

Awesome service on top of that. If you're willing to spend a pretty penny, I highly recommend it. If not, there are other alternatives, but you're missing out big time.

Best of all: They're located in Chapters, so if you want some amazing, local coffee with your ice cream, you are absolutely in luck. Try both businesses out.

Best ice cream ever! I always love to come in and sample all the new flavors before I make my decision. They change their flavors often but they also make sure to have a couple of their more standard flavors (i.e. chocolate, vanilla, coffee) available. Their made -to-order waffle cones are to die for and are always a must!

They have dairy free options and those are always amazing as well. In fact, their dairy free coconut lemon blueberry is one of my favorites.
