I had an extremely pleasant experience at Hickory and Ash. I stopped in, and the place was packed, so I took a seat at the bar. I had a couple of "The Mayor" cocktails, which were very tasty. The bartender Dave was attentive and very nice. The manager Lindsey stopped by and asked me how i was doing/was very welcoming. My server Anna took very good care of me and was great about expanding on the menu offerings. I was offered complimentary bread with herb seasoned butter, which was very nice. I decided to start with the meatball appetizer and ended up cleaning the bowl with the bread it was so delicious. For my main course, I ordered the half chicken, which was presented beautifully, perfectly cooked, and very tasty. For dessert I went with the banana cheesecake, and had a latte with it. All I can say about that is wow. Beautiful presentation, and absolutely wonderful flavor. I will most definitely be going back. Fantastic experience at a very well run establishment.

Had dinner here with a co-worker and his wife. The decor was very nice. The food seemed a bit fancy for the decor, but it was nice to get French inspired food in a casual place. Love the deconstructed Chicken and Dumplings as well as the Mac and Cheese. I will return here again for sure.

I want to thank our waiter Jake for helping us celebrate some very important life events. My daughter graduated from Respiratory Therapist school on Monday, her boyfriend proposed to her on Tuesday and his mom came from California to share it all with us. Jake gave us phenomenal service. We couldn’t have asked for better professional service. Also his kindness was greatly appreciated and added to our experience. Thank you Jake!

Ambiance is perfect for a fun night out! One of few places that can actually cook steak to my preference! Definitely order Steak and frites!

Good drink selection but not higher end allocated whiskey.

Gluten free bread available! Herb salted butter is delicious!

Bar seating available. Recommend reservation.

This was our first visit to Hickory & Ash, and it was delicious. We had the braised short ribs and hickory salmon entrees. The food was excellent, well seasoned, and cooked exactly to our liking. Our server, Michayla, was very knowledgeable and made great suggestions on the menu. We had a lovely meal and will be back.

Great food! The wedge salad was the best I’ve ever had. The dressing was amazing. The shrimp boil was also very tasty. The sides of asparagus and carrots were tasty as well. We had the Pb&j desert which wasn’t too sweet and was a perfect end. This green gin drink was very good as well. 👍🏽 pictures below were portions divided between me and my friend. It was nice they brought it out already divided for us

Went to this restaurant in the Arista district in Broomfield for a dinner on a Tuesday evening. Seated without any wait and the place has a nice, cozy, upscale atmosphere. Our food arrived in 10-15 minutes. Ordered the braised short ribs and the gnudi - both very nicely presented and very delicious! Friendly and attentive staff. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but still reasonable. Great place for a date night or anniversary dinner. On-street parking or in a lot adjacent to restaurant. Recommended!

My bf and I went recently for a low-key, mid-week birthday dinner. Just the two of us. We went a little early, maybe 6:30ish, we were quickly sat by a friendly hostess at a nice table outside.
Our server Emma was very knowledgeable about the menu, as well as super sweet and thoroughly attentive.
My bf liked his cocktail “the mayor” which like an old fashioned/ Manhattan style.
We had the endive salad to start, which for a salad; was phenomenal. (I just don’t expect much from a salad usually) but this *chefs kiss* was a high-end take on a Caesar, with a lovely lemon flavor and perfect dressing. The croutons were so full of flavor and my favorite part: they were all crumbled, so you don’t have to break one or eat a giant chunk of hard bread in a bite. No, this was legit for my preference of equal bites!
Entrees; we had the bison bolognese & the ribeye steak. The bolognese was excellent with a cavetelli pasta, like delicious little pillows, a rich balanced sauce a healthy dollop of burrata (!) fresh basil & yummy bison… absolute perfection!
Steak was cooked great, with ala cart sides, they accommodated our request for broccoli not in the “sides menu” but we had seen on another dish. Chimmichuri was good too.
They gave us a birthday dessert on the house! So sweet:) Key lime pie in a jar, was delicious!
Good work from all involved, thanks so much!

Title: Exceptional Date Night Dining Experience with Special Thanks to Austin!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I recently had the pleasure of a date night at Hickory and Ash, and I cannot express how impressed I am with every aspect of my experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff, accommodated us promptly, despite arriving early for our reservation.

We enjoyed the Romaine Endive Salad , a delightful prelude to the culinary journey that followed. The Fillet Mignon and Short Ribs that followed were nothing short of extraordinary. The culinary creativity and attention to detail were truly outstanding, and every bite was a burst of flavors that showcased the chef's expertise and dedication to quality ingredients.

Equally impressive was the impeccable service provided by Austin and the rest of the staff at Hickory and Ash. From the warm welcome at the entrance to Austin's guidance through the menu, every team member exuded professionalism and genuine hospitality. It was evident that the staff takes pride in ensuring guests, especially those on a date night, have an unforgettable dining experience.

The delectable cuisine and exceptional service combined to create a memorable evening at Hickory and Ash. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a top-notch dining experience, especially for a romantic date night, and a special thanks to Austin for making our evening even more enjoyable.

Thank you to the entire team at Hickory and Ash for making my date night truly remarkable.

Incredible experience! The food was creative and delicious. The staff was so nice. Emma was our waitress and she was awesome and very helpful!

Loved the creativity in the cocktails - the flavors were fun and unusual. My husband got the fernet cocktail with the maple bubbles (Gold Minor's Float) and I loved it and I don't usually love fernet. I had the Gettin' that For Sho cocktail and it was great. Unusual flavors, beautiful color and very well balanced drink (though the waitress did warn us people either love or hate it so might not be for everyone).

We had the steak tartare to start and it was perfect. My husband doesn't usually like tartare and even he said he'd get it again. So tender and flavorful. Also, their homemade bread and butter they serve is so good! Hard to stop eating it so we could save space for the main event.

For dinner, we opted for the seasonal dishes and wow! The Mexican corn gnudi was soooooo good. Creamy and perfect. Little pillows of delight. We also shared the shrimp and the flavor was excellent. The little fried noodle cakes that come with it were divine and a lovely texture add to the dish.

For dessert we tried both the passion fruit pana cotta and the key lime cheesecake. Pana cotta was so flavorful. Loved, loved, loved. The key lime cheesecake was maybe the worst dish of the experience - though it was still really good. I will say we really struggled to taste any lime in the cheesecake. If it had been called coconut cheesecake, it would've been more appropriate. Again it was delicious but compared to everything else we ate, it wasn't quite as good.

Can't wait to come back! Obsessed with the creativity and the flavor. So good.

If I could give this place another star I certainly would. Our evening started with our incredible waiter Austin. He was incredibly friendly and knew the menu well. Not to discount his incredible customer service but the chefs made his job so easy. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, the Brussel sprouts were amazing, the twice baked Mac and cheese was just incredible, and my H&A Amber beer was just delightful. With a wait staff that routinely came over to clear dishes, refill drinks, offer suggestions of the menu, or to even make small talk, the entire experience is something my wife and I are not used to. We've already decided when we return in the summer that we will certainly be stopping by Hickory and Ash again. This place has set a standard I fear no one will be able to compete with. Can't wait to return here! I also grabbed the pbnj desert to go, didn't even make it home. Highest praises to the staff here, great job and keep at it!

My GF and I recently went here for our Anniversary dinner. I can tell you that we will be back before our next anniversary.

We arrived and I was surprised at how low-key the entrance outside looked. I don't know why but I guess I expected something a little more flashy than what it was: a drab awning with a large red-painted flower planter with the name of the restaurant on the front. To be totally honest, it's so unassuming that I almost drove right past it. But no matter; some of the best books are contained within boring covers.

Walking inside gives a completely different impression however, and I immediately liked the place. Large windows, bright lights, very clean, and enough space to walk around but not so open that it becomes weird. The music volume was that so you could hear the other person. A few large, decorative animal skulls are artfully placed throughout. It was an excellent first impression.

The food though. We tried a few appetizers and a couple entrees and literally everything was scrumptious, and I don't use that word often. There wasn't a single ingredient on any plate that I disliked or seemed sub-par. In addition, the service was fantastic. The staff was attentive but not annoying, nor did they ignore us.

Is it a little pricey? I guess but the quality is absolutely there. I've paid more for less at many places and realistically, nothing on the menu seems upcharged or outrageously expensive. It all seemed pretty fair to me.

In short, don't judge it by its cover. The atmosphere is great, the service is great, the food is truly excellent. Can't wait to go back.

Not exaggerating - this was one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. I had the hickory grilled salmon and my husband had the chicken cordon bleu. The wine was excellent too. Atmosphere was romantic and quiet even with most of the tables filled.

Great tasting, simple menu. Highly recommend. I think the staff should try to enjoy their job a bit more. They all seem mad.

Wow! My husband and I tried this little gem for the first time on our last date night, and we loved it! The atmosphere is cozy and romantic but also comfortable and relaxed. We tried the crab hush puppies appetizer (crispy, warm, seasoned nicely and the avocado dip was 👌), he ordered a steak (cooked to *perfection* - melt in your mouth) with brussels sprouts, and I ordered the winter squash ravioli - everything was so so delicious!! I enjoyed the Pirates Life for Me cocktail, and hubs enjoyed an amber ale. The staff was so sweet - they were really busy, and our waiters kept apologizing, but we honestly didn't feel neglected at all - we got all of our food and drinks very quickly! We will definitely be back!! Highly recommend!

Dave and Tori at the bar were amazing. Super friendly and offered excellent recommendations. I had the Chicken and Dumplings…totally not what I was expecting, but is was phenomenal. The atmosphere is very laid back with a nice ambiance. The restaurant was fairly busy, but the noise level was not too loud. If you’re in town visiting or a local you should stop by Hickory & Ash.

We went here for my husband's birthday dinner. Nothing short of fantastic. Loved how they do Colorado local meat. We tried the short rib, chicken and dumplings (pictured), the fava bean hummus - my favorite, and the corn green chili soup app. Everything was made with care and so flavorful. We will hope to be back for other eventful dinners soon.

I was really impressed with this place! The ambiance is cozy and classy, perfect for catching up with friends or date night. The food was DELICIOUS, we loved everything we tried! The service was top notch, everyone was so friendly and chill!
My friend and I were talking for quite some time after our meal and after paying, but our waitress was happy to let us hang out and even brought us a surprise round of drinks!
Can't wait to go back!

Came here on a recommendation.
-Atmosphere is great, not too crowded. It's quiet and romantic.
-Daniel our server was very good, attentive to our dietary needs and fun to talk to.
-Food was incredible. Seems silly to call out the complimentary bread but not many places make butter that good, and they will whip up some gluten free bread on request, it was buttered and salted and awesome. The muscles were crazy good with roasted peppers and the sauce was great, and a huge portion too. My filet minion steak was perfectly cooked and super tender. Mash potatoes and asparagus sides were really good. Lots of options for gluten free and dairy free.

All around this place was fantastic.
