Finally, we found d the time for the trek to BITS! Not that they are far, far away, but just one of those-not in the brain receptors-things. Not a bad wait, sunny skies helped lessen the feel, and it had that perfect neighborhood feel. And, oh man, any wait is worth it. The “Special” breakfast was so good and tasty. Perfectly poached eggs resting on textured greens with goat cheese. Yes. Classic breakfast was just that-Classic. Potatoes crunchy and soft, chicken apple sausage, amazing taste. And lest I forget, the beet salad is so good it should be in constant rotation. Although that means roasting beets on a consistent basis. Time consuming but what an explosion of flavor.
Get on by there and then, come on back. Your belly and soul will thank you

Fantastic all around -

Service: Excellent service, even with their dishwasher out - prompt, friendly & offered great advice on what to try. Genuinely seemed to care that we had a lovely experience.

Atmosphere: We sat at the counter and not only is the decor great with plush greenery, but the seating was comfortable. Great job using the space to bring calm, happiness, and comfort.

Food: Good lord, just incredible. One of my favorite breakfast experiences every bite was stellar. Their brioche French toast special with lemon poppyseed berry compote was simply divine - among the best French toast I've ever had. The special breakfast with goat cheese, balsamic reduction, eggs and spinach was rich and a delight for the taste buds. And the smoked salmon Benedict? So tasty, every bite was perfect and brought an excellent mix of flavors. I would happily eat each dish that we got regularly.

Bonus: If you're a hot sauce lover, Bits boasts 4 shelf's of hot sauce options! Very fun to mix and match.
+ If there's a wait there's bottomless coffee before you sit down and they have lovely seating inside + outside to wait at!

All in all an amazing experience. Will definitely be back!

My husband and I were in the area after dropping our car off at the dealership and decided we wanted to try this cute little breakfast place. I’m so so glad we decided to come here because it did not disappoint. Elizabeth (sp?) was our waitress and she was so so so kind and attentive to us. I was sad they were out of the lemon aid tea, but she offered a different selection that was similar that she thought I would like and boy was she right. I believe I got the Marion berry tea? Anyways the tea I got regardless was absolutely incredible. I’m such a tea snob so it’s hard for me to find any I truly like but the one I had with breakfast was delicious and it came in a cute little pot so I could refill my cup as needed. Overall Elizabeth made our visit so wonderful, I can’t rave about her enough. My husband got coffee and he was even blown away by that, he said he’s never had such tasty, fresh coffee before! My husband got the breakfast sandwich with eggs on the side and he devoured his food, me however, not so much, don’t get me wrong, the French toast was sooo yummy! Baby just did not like it :(. I was still starving though and ordered eggs and potatoes and that was very yummy, so fresh and they got it to me so quickly after I ordered, I was very very impressed. The ambiance of the place is so relaxing and cute, I love all their little decoration they had everywhere, it made the place feel more cozy! Overall I can’t rave enough about how incredible this place is. Awesome staff, awesome service and FRESH HOT food!!! 10000000/10 recommend! Just know though that parking can be a little tricky as it’s limited and you’re not allowed to park in the food co-op next to the restaurant, but despite the parking situation, it was well worth it to eat here.

This spot is an Olympia secret. It's back in the neighborhood a little, but for those that know about it, it's a delicious brunch.

I got the special shrimp and grits and it was amazing. I'd go back to get that again.

Staff were friendly and attentive. I didn't feel rushed to get out. I'd reserve an hour and probably wouldn't come if I was in a rush.

Atmosphere is mid century modern. It's fresh and trendy. A little louder but not so loud you can't hear one another.

You can bring kids here, but it's busy, so you might want to go earlier than later.

Parking is limited but you can usually find street parking not too far away.

When first heading to the restaurant, we thought we were heading the wrong way since we were driving through a bunch of residential neighborhoods, but then we came to realize this restaurant is hidden away, nestled in a residential neighborhood.

The "house" look of this restaurant ends as soon as you walk in. Inside, the restaurant was well decorated with many plants everywhere. And it was very busy! Despite being very busy, the waitress kept coming by to check on us and seemed to always know when we needed something. We sat at the bar area which was, in my opinion, the best seats in the restaurant since it gives you a view of the cooks, hard at work.

I got the scramble with breakfast potatoes. This restaurant has the best breakfast potatoes I've tried so far. It was very soft on the inside, but not dry, and still perfectly crispy!! The Scramble itself was full of lots of different ingredients, which made for a tasty scrambled dish.

BITS is my favorite part of every weekend!!
From the moment my husband and I walked in we felt connected to and welcomed by all the staff as if we were a part of the family. We have continued to come to BITS weekly for months and everything is spectacular.
From the drip coffee/espresso, to the specials/standing menu, to the cocktails and everything in between - this food and the team at BITS are an absolute joy!
I am typically an early morning BITS gal and be aware you will mostly likely have a bit of a wait on weekend mid/late mornings. Rest assured the wait is ABSOLUTELY worth it and for good reason.
Do yourself a favor and get yourself some BITS ASAP!

BITS Cafe is a gem! The atmosphere is welcoming, cleanliness is top-notch, and the breakfast is fantastic. The breakfast sandwich of the day was stellar!! Also - the breakfast tea was a delightful complement, and the service is exceptional. Everything here is simply excellent - highly recommended!

This was our second time dining at this cafe and the dishes and lattes are always delicious. They have a selection of salsa picante at the back to choose from. Fresh ingredients make the wait all worth it.

I ordered the breakfast sandwich both times here and a latte with almond milk.

Thumbs up all around! Stop by if you're in Olympia!

Love this place. Everything about it.
A great casual breakfast place and friends' meetup spot for a bite of good food.
I think they have more than breakfast?...look it up!
The home fries...crispy on all sides!
The Benedict...excellent ham, homemade and spectacular Hollandaise.
The poached egg...solid whites and perfect runny yolks (super fresh egg) to soak into my optional gluten free toast

French toast looked scrumptious and the biscuits looked excellent....next time!

The staff and owner...warm.and kind.
The weekend wait?...coffee and cups and cream await you..no begging the busy staff...go pour yourself a cup and chat or people watch or stare at your shoes. BITS is worth the wait.

Fantiastic food! Like really, really good. And the owner comes to your table. She directed our kids to some board games which they had a lot of fun with, and had some great suggestions for our tastebuds. Both the eggs Benedict and veggie omelet were exceptional! Worth the wait for great food and down home atmosphere.

Bits is such a wonderful place for brunch, lunch, and tea. Their decor is so fresh and comfortable with all of their plants. Their couches are comfy for tea or coffee if you want to work or read. They make a great London Fog and Chai.

But what really makes this a fantastic brunch choice is how wonderful the staff is and how clean the food is. All their dishes are made with fresh ingredients and their specials every weekend are delicious. They are always trying new things that don't make me feel sluggish or greasy after eating them. I feel so comfortable eating here because the staff always takes care of me so well. They are attentive and accommodating and friendly. It feels homey with the the owner working alongside everyone else and talking to the guests.

This is a true neighborhood restaurant that I feel so lucky to have near me. I would recommend eating here to anyone in the Olympia area or visiting.

Favorite dish: Bacon and avocado eggs benedict

Favorite drink: Chai

My partner and I got a mimosa and justtryit to start, along with a slice of the special French toast with mango macadamia compote. I got the special breakfast, and my partner got the eggs benedict with ham. Overall amazing.
I couldn't have chosen better- I was impressed with the presentation, and the taste was fantastic. Great choice with the balsamic reduction. I ended up not even sharing a bite with my partner because I liked it so much haha.
Worth the wait.

Great little neighborhood breakfast spot. I ordered the scramble and subbed the “sunshine salad” for the potatoes. It was delightful! The purple cabbage in the scramble was an especially welcome treat. The atmosphere also had a nice vibe. As for the coffee… above average for sure! We’ll definitely be visiting this little gem again!

BITS Cafe is one of our very favorite brunch spots in Olympia (the salmon Benedict is absolutely amazing...well, everything is amazing!), so when it came time to select a venue for our first "OlyVersary", we asked owner Tora if she could host the event for us and our friends. Fortunately, she said yes!

Tora's background in event planning and cooking showed as she quickly gathered what she needed to know about our budget, desired menu, and even music choices and ran with it.

About 25 of us got together at the restaurant, and everything was perfect! The food was great, and the restaurant is such a warm, relaxing space for entertaining--and folks were able to have conversations throughout the whole place. Thanks to Tora's efforts and attention to detail, all we had to do was show up and enjoy time with our friends!

I highly, highly recommend BITS Cafe for your next get-together. It was amazing! Thanks, Tora!
