Absolutely loved our trip here. We drove 3 hrs for this place and it was worth it. For us it was early spring. Water was clear and wonderful. It was slightly cold when we stuck out feet in. But we got used to it fast. There is a state park you can go to, but they charge 3 dollars per person to go in. They have peirs to walk on. But two of the three were not available. We passed on going to the park and ended up just stopping at the many spots that led to the public beach. Just look for the orange signs with numbers on them. They indicate beach access!

Great time on Grand Isle. Met a family from Nebraska who were very impressed with our beach. Caught crabs and fish and ate on the sea for four days.

Loved the fact that everyone was pet friendly and all pets were well behaved. My son , friend and I had a blast at the music fest on the beach . Zepplin, Ozzie etc. Soooo fun and great wheather.
