Blue Dolphin Inn & Cottages

I recently stayed at the Blue Dolphin Inn, and it was a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was inviting, and the innkeeper was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The check-in process was straightforward, although you have to drive a bit further down from the inn to reach the check-in spot, which is on the left-hand side marked by the distinctive Blue Dolphin sign. Despite this, the overall experience was fantastic, and we're already planning our next visit. We'll definitely be back to enjoy the hospitality and charm of the Blue Dolphin Inn.

The rooms were clean and quite comfortable. The kitchenette was stocked with all of the needed basics, and my family of four (both kids teenagers) had plenty of space in the two bedroom with futon. AC in each room was very appreciated after hot days on the beach. The owners were warm and friendly, quick to give us tips on places to eat and a reminder to let them know if there was anything we needed.
They acted surprised that a family from MN would decide to vacation on this small coastal island, but it was perfect. This relaxed, small town was exactly what we needed after a week of bustle in New Orleans. We will be telling all of our friends to check out Grand Isle, and check in to the Blue Dolphin Inn!

Great place to stay especially during the off-season--super price for a darling place. We loved staying in a little cottage on stilts, with the ocean steps away. There was sand on the floor, but that was part of the charm. Also a plus that they are pet friendly. We would definitely stay again!

Beautiful place in great location....Rooms were super clean and neat. We only had one night in town due to our schedule and thank goodness we found The Blue Dolphin!

I sure didn't want to leave. The views were spectacular, we watched the dolphins play from the deck. We met the owner, a very sweet and accommodating lady. The landscaping was absolutely gorgeous. Clean and affordable. And very comfortable.

We are usually home for Thanksgiving but this year decided to get out of the cold and venture to a warmer climate. Initially thought of going to New Orleans but we have two dogs so I decided that I really did not want to be taking the dogs out at 3am on Bourbon Street. Doggies for some reason go to the bathroom at odd times when away from home. Since Nola was no-go, l googled dog friendly cottages in southern Louisiana. I am so happy that the Blue Dolphin came up. I called the manager Tammy and booked it. When we got there we had a nice view of the ocean because the cabin itself is on stilts because you are literally 300 feet from the ocean. The cabin was decorated with a charming beach theme. However, the main reason we had a wonderful time was because of Tammy. She recommended two restaurants that were amazing. First, The Lighthouse for seafood and then Starfish for a $10.99 Thanksgiving meal. Had a wonderful time and will definitely be back.

Had a wonderful stay with our family of 5! Clean, friendly, and just perfect!! Owner is incredible! He had good tips about fishing and where to eat at! Will be back this year and will start planning family vacations for years to come! Memories were made. Thanks!

Thank you blue dolphin cottages, we had a great vacation staying with you and will defiantly be back, thank you for not charging us an arm and leg for the damages done by our bratty kid. My only recommendation would be a larger shower, I'm a big girl and couldn't wash or rinse very well during our stay. Otherwise everything was wonderful, even the little lizard in my bed the first night

I stayed here for about a week and it was mesmerizing the way the beach was being washed by the reflective waves and the crabs running around in their little conch shells just made me smile. One gorgeous animal that we got to see we're the dolphins playing with each other and I went out and played with them!!

Very clean room. Customer service was awesome. We got an upgrade the day before our check-in, and ended up with a Gulf front view. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in a room on the island.

Loved it! The staff was super friendly and helpful! The room was extremely clean and very refreshingly chilly after a hot day on the beach! Perfect place to stay and we didn't even stay in the big room! 5/5

Great place to stay! Right on the beach, super clean and comfy rooms, and kind courteous staff. We will definitely be back for our next visit to Grand Isle.

We stayed here in May and loved every second of it. Great service and they helped us find stuff to do and will be coming back in 2019 for our next big vacation. Wish they were just a hair cheaper but still loved it.

Great location. Across street from beach or About a five minute walk. Two double beds, standing shower, and pull out sofa. We had a perfect fishing trip.

Very nice manager let us check in at 8 a.m. because we were traveling at night Tennessee and your rings were better than I expected you have a TV in each room and the living room you have your own air conditioner in your room turn the air conditioning in the living room very comfortable beds and the hospitality was everything that all hope for really highly recommend Blue Dolphin Inn

The rooms were extremely clean and kept in good working order. When I asked for local fishing spots the owner took time to point them out and offered suggestions as to what they have been biting.

Went there to visit friends and walk the beach. It was in a good location to access but I happened to be staying down the road. With how well kept it was, I would have stayed there but it wasn't my decision at the time. Next time I will!

Great trip! All aspects of Blue Dolphin Inn are as advertised. The cottage was just what we needed after a long day of enjoying the Gulf. Highly recommend the Blue Dolphin.

This place was a pleasure. Easy mobile friendly booking. Lovely quaint rooms. Very very clean. Inn keeper was very friendly and hospitable. Would easily stay here again and recommend.
