Great location, parking is better as is access from the road. Nice clean store. Welcome to the neighborhood.

The store is big but looks like it was just thrown together and shelves were half full, dissappointed

Ross, what on earth? Previously an AVID Ross shopper, and I am so sad that you have adopted the prison guard and gate. The guard literally gives a mini lecture and waits to get our eye contact before allowing us through his gate. "We are here to make sure that everyone enjoys safety and security."

We tried to get over it and do our thing (just bought six items the day before at TJ Maxx), but my friend said that she just felt so uncomfortable and wanted to go. She couldn't handle shopping some place where she felt like she was being treated like a criminal.

I am sad about the theft today and the whole idea that people can take what they want instead of working for it. But this awkward process isn't the answer. Have a guard, totally. Have three or four; fine with us. But don't block our passage into your store and add a mini lecture. I just want to give you my money, and have a fun time shopping.

People with the actual money to spend won't put up with this. Change it or we will never be back to ANY Ross.

I love Ross so I was excited to see the new store! I read the reviews which weren't good, so I went to check it out. Well, nothing has changed since Christmas. Sure enough access in was controlled by Loss Prevention, who had a canned speech. The store was virtually empty, low stock. I mentioned they don't do this at the Franklin Park or South Hill stores, no answer. So after I did a walk thru, left for another store. Too many choices in town to deal with this!

Edit: drove by again to check if they are still doing it...yes they are. 2/11/24. I believe their goal is to make everyone hold still long enough for the camera to get a good image of your face. I watched the glorified security guard checking the monitor before letting people through.

Metered system of entering an empty store? Great way to make customers go elsewhere by preventing them from entering and forcing them into an unnecessary conversation. Competition is right around the corner. It's like they are looking for a discrimination lawsuit.

Avoid this store. The entrance is roped off, must go in single file and be allowed to enter only when the employee (loss prevention) lifts the rope. To enter!! There is a vague welcome speech, including “we’re doing this for Christmas shopping. Thank you for your patience.” Unbelievable. Said to every single would-be shopper. Will not go back. And if this is the plan for every Ross store, there will be a permanent farewell from me.

The reviews we're correct, this is still roped off and they look you up and down before allowing you through their makeshift roped off, in and out single lane. Majority of the staff didn't have much to say besides "this is what we're doing now" almost ALL of their items have "theft tags" on them even cheap pots and pans have theft tags on them yet the entire store is roped off and only allowed entry if some small fry allows you in 🙄
You know what works, security and armed staff. Not these silly ropes and theft tags, not going back ever again. They can't even be allowed to say Merry Christmas so they have to be inclusive and say happy holidays. End wokeness

Having a gaurd gate to enter the store is not a way to welcome shoppers. Going shopping for some is stressful enough. Then for the others that find shopping fun, they ruin what should be a good experience

I called to see what this "metering system" ie ropes was about and emplyee confirmed over the phone that yes security screens you before letting you in. "Like a concert". Will not be shopping here until they lift this ridiculous system. I do not think ANYONE wants to be treated like a criminal going into a store. Pass. There are other perfectly good similar stores in the same shopping center.

This store’s front entrance is confusingly stanchioned off with the left doors being completely blocked off/locked. Upon entrance, I went to the right of the stanchion and walked on in. I was stopped by security who advised me that “for future reference, I need to stop in front of him to be allowed entrance into the store.” Tell me you don’t want my money without telling me you don’t want my money. Heavens to Betsy in a handbasket.

Wanted to run in and buy something during my lunch hour. But was told they are metering entrance for customer safety...on a Thursday afternoon...there was maybe 30 people in the store. I will not wait in line to spend my money in your store. I went to TJ Maxx at the other end of the parking lot, I won't be back to this Ross again.

Absolutely bizarre. They literally have the entrance taped off and say they need to look at you for a few seconds before entering. No thanks I'll shop elsewhere, I don't want a man staring at my body and telling me its for "safety reasons". Based on reviews this isn't the first time. Creepy

DO NOT APPLY HERE!!!
Probably the worst place I've ever worked!! Horrible management, no job security, and no pay security. DO NOT APPLY HERE!! DON'T APPLY AT ROSS!
The shopping is not that great either, because there's always shoplifters, and the associates almost never know what they're doing 👍🏻

Store is still roped off. Lady basically said to us that she’s having conversations with each and every person to “make sure we’re having good days” before letting un into the store. and if we weren’t or were sus she wouldn’t let us in

They don't want people to come into the store. The guy wanted to talk about a meter system. I just rolled my eyes and walked away.

Will never shop at Ross again! They stop you when you’re trying to go in the door. Everything is roped off it’s not getting into a prison. It’s just ridiculous.
