Odyssey Downtown

Amazing local restaurant in downtown Hastings, NE. Be sure to make a reservation in advance. Wonderful drinks, service, and delicious food. I attached copies of the current menu. Drink menu included some seasonal features & go-tos, along with a nice wine offering. Desserts offered were amazing; we had blueberry lemon cheesecake. We will definitely return!

This place was highly recommended by coworkers. Make sure to get a reservation or you will be at the bar. The bar was not the best area to enjoy but space looks limited. I was able to get the filet with mash potatoes and broccoli. I ordered the meat medium and it ended up being well done. It took a while to get the attention of the bar tender but it looked like they were short staffed. They were able to cook me another steak and they were kind about it. My co worker got the salmon and she said it was alright. I don’t know if I will be back but it was a nice bite to eat.

The restaurant is very nice, it is clean, the decoration is beautiful, the service is a bit slow when bringing the bill, we had to wait a long time, but in general it is excellent. The food is perfect, very delicious, the crab cake is one of the best I've ever had, the pork chop was exquisite, the risotto rice was delicious in a general sense, I recommend it, it's among the best restaurants in Nebraska without a doubt

It was an overdue date night. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to have a dinner date. The staff was friendly and made everything just perfect even right down to the little date night sign on the table. We even had a candlelight! Food and service
was 100%.

Tonight my husband and I went for a pre-anniversary dinner at Odyssey. It was a lovely dining experience. He ordered his first generous pour of a premium bourbon upon arrival. They usually always have a selection that meets the needs of his snooty whiskey pallet. Soon, after wavering between the bruschetta board and the parmesan truffle chips, we jointly chose the parmesan truffle chips. They are very good. Be careful though. They are served with a sanbal sauce that goes well with the chips. The sanbal has a definite zing to it. I like it, but , if you have a delicate tolerance, you might want to dip in accordingly. After aggressively enjoying the parmesan truffle chips, we ordered our meals. Btw, our server was a nice man named Dale. He was appropriately knowledgeable and presented himself and the menu in the best manner. I ordered the salmon with a double down serving of brussel sprouts. My husband ordered a large fillet with brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. He also went with the additional mushrooms and caramelized onions on the fillet. We thoroughly appreciated our selections. My husband enjoyed yet another generous pour of premium bourbon. The meats were cooked as we preferred and the sides were fantastic. As we were scraping every last bite off of our plates, a hosting lady brought us the dessert menu. We were plenty full, but dessert is my thing. I ordered a banana after dinner drink to go. The drink was a very nice ending to a great. Anniversary dinner. I resent we didn't send a six pack to the kitchen. Many thanks for a wonderful time!

Wow 1st time visit. Everything was A+. Get the bacon wrapped shrimp! Servers are courteous, and timely.

My husband and I went to eat here for our 8 year anniversary tonight. Everything was absolutely wonderful! My porkchop was perfectly cooked, the risotto was creamy and sweet and the Smores Creme Brulee will never be beaten. We will definitely be back!

The best place to eat in Hastings - no question. Upscale dining that offers delicious options. I always like to start with an order of arancini. The steaks are always great, but I love the grilled caesar with steak or salmon. Usually you can get in for lunch without a reservation, but if you are going for dinner you will probably need one

This place is great. Had the Cajun chicken pasta. Date had grilled Ceasar salad and a steak. Service was wonderful. Will definitely eat here next time I'm in town.

2nd visit for us, we make it a point to come and eat here at least once, we come down to visit from Minneapolis. Great food and great atmosphere!! Menu changes often, this I great gives many options to folks here in town.

First time trying the Odyssey, and I will definitely say we will be back. First the staff was very friendly and attentive. Second the food was great I had the Black and Blue burger and it was fantastic. We sat on the bar side and I love the stone and brick walls they didn't cover really makes thus a neat place to eat.

- It has a laid back atmosphere and feel with the sophistication of a upscale restaurant/bar.
- Both Bar and Food menu is on point. Honestly, I couldn't find a weak link in the menus.

We rolled into this establishment a little before the dining room was open but that wasn't an issue because the manager was more than happy to sit us at the bar. Johnny Cash, Soggy Bottom Boys & Rat Pack filling the room.

First look around gave some clues as to what Odyssey is about... stocked bar to include more than 5 bourbons; sangria on tap; and a great drink menu. I ordered my usual Old Fashion and Wedge salad + Caesar salad (I was too early by 1 hr for full menu + Iove wedge salads).

Ambiance is dim, dark, and industrial chic. The natural brick, stone, wood, and steel are paired well. Old Fashioned came out and Melanie "bartender" made it perfect even with the orange glass rim rub at the end. The wedge and caesar salad (pictured) were well made, great tasting, and used real blue cheese, crispy bacon, kalamata olives etc. I went to order my 2nd usual drink (Moscow Mule) and was given option to try the strawberry infused gin instead of vodka... I took it and it was great. It went well with the sharp goslings ginger taste.

The best restaurant experience in Nebraska, the greet and wait staff, menu, atmosphere, tableware, bathrooms, management all executed flawlessly. I had the chicken fried steak (what I laughingly use to benchmark a restaurant), to say it was the best I have ever had is underselling it. The bruschetta , Nebraska salad, Chicken fried steak and cheesecake was one of the finest meals I have ever had. I love the vintage books that the final bill came in, full of signatures and memories. Every restaurant in the state needs to reserve an evening here for a masterclass in how to treat their customers to excellence.

So nice to go a classy restaurant and the food is so good our grandkids get excited to go.

Modern decor in a late 19th century building gives Odyssey great ambiance. Friendly, attentive wait staff. The food is amazing - elevated menu selections that are very well prepared with interesting and unique sides, beautifully plated. Delicious! Nice selection of wines from a small wine list. Craft cocktails prepared by bartenders who know their business.

This was a random selection on a business trip to Hastings that turned out awesome. Rachel was a wonderful server and had great recommendations for two first timers to Odyssey.

The Arancini was delicious for an appetizer and wad followed by a great filet mignon and creme brulet for dessert.

10/10 recommend.

Tender and favorable 8 oz filet mignon with mashed potatoes and mushroom demi-glaze. Great outdoor seating. Active servers. Great referral for out of towers.

It's such a fantastic place! I took my fiancé there for her birthday, and they had her flowers set at the table and brought us a bottle of wine that I arranged for prior to us getting there. The food is exquisite, with a seasonal rotating menu, and the service is top- notch! I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try! We will definitely be back!

Hands down the best restaurant In the tri cities from my experience. Top notch service, excellent food and presentation. My wife and I went there for our anniversary and they had saved a specific table for us that was already set up and had a little sign congratulating us. If your looking for a high class dining experience look no further.
