Murphy's Wagon Wheel

Great place, love the decor, the food and the staff. We came for state fastpitch softball tournaments, and love to find new places. Hot outside, cold, frosty mugs inside. I had a spicy chicken salad, husband had patty melt. Mmmmm, will come back next year.

The brisket is delicious. Our waitress was very attentive. Great black and tans!

I got to talking to the GM of Murphy's after we enjoyed a wonderful meal. She told me about how this business has been family owned for over 50+ years. 3rd generation owned finally decided to expand their store to the sky! They will have the first roof top bar in the tri city area! Going back to the food they get their meat locally at Custom Pack. Makes it extra tasty for the fact it's always fresh NEVER frozen.

Love an old school bar. Good food. We each had a Reuben Burger. Delicious.

Anytime I get to hastings love to stop here! Great hometown bar. Awesome atmosphere! Great food and cold Beer! Next door to some awesome shopping also! ☺

All I can say is omg the best burger I've had. It beats all the burgers in town I would definitely recommend and I will definitely be ordering from here again absolutely delicious.

Just had dinner with my grand daughter. Maggie was our server. She was very prompt and attentive. The food came out quickly, was fresh and very tasty. Another awesome experience and a Hastings landmark !! Thank you !!

My wife and I stopped in to Murphys on a trip to the Hastings museum. We were impressed by the pleasant atmosphere and very impressed by the selection on the menu. I had their Reuben Burger which was absolutely delicious. My wife ordered chicken strips which were very meaty and tasted great. We recommend Murphys and will be stopping in again soon!

We were in town for a seminar and we stopped in afterwards to eat lunch. They were super busy, yet the servers were executing an amazing job, very kind, courteous, and doing their best to keep up with everything. The food was amazing and I look forward to trying more of their menu when we return next time!

Went here for a birthday celebration. We had the chicken wings which I really enjoyed. They were cooked right, sauced just the perfect amount and delicious. The craft pints were very reasonably priced. The bar area had lots of seating. If you are planning a get together on a weekend with a large group, reservation would be good idea since it seems to be a very popular place.

Had the Tuesday night special and a pitcher of Octoberfest. Food was served in a timely manner, was hot and juicy with fresh vegetable toppings. Beer was served cold. Waitress was prompt and served us well.

I just moved into town last week from another state and wanted to treat myself to a nice local steak. I'm retired from the meat industry and am very picky about my meat. I ordered a bacon wrapped filet mignon and it was cooked exactly the way I like it, very rare. The smoky beans and the fries were good too. The prices are very fair and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. It seems this is where the locals go, everyone seemed to know each other.

My favorite place to go in Hastings. Nice selection on tap. I have worked my way through a decent portion of the menu as well, and have liked everything the kitchen has made! (I'd recommend starting with a Bob's Gourmet Salad and the getting a crab melt with onion rings) They've got a top notch bartender but he could use better taste in baseball caps. If you're visiting Hastings this is hands down my #1 recommendation.

If you've never been here you must stop in!!! They have the best oriental salad! Love the grilled cheese sandwiches and the popcorn is unbeatable. Comfortable family atmosphere, music low enough one can comfortable visit. The wait staff is super friendly. Ball games and beer, what more can I say. We have been coming here for over 35 years now. Come share a fun eve. here with friends and family!

Really neat place to eat. Good menu selection without being too complicated. Lots of sauce options available from mild to really spicy. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating even during peak hours. Food was great especially the garlic bread.
Overall a fantastic casual dining experience!

Looked up steak houses in Hastings and picked this one from the list. The location is down town, nice, easy to find, and plenty of parking. The place was busy on a Thursday night, but I was seated quickly. Brandy met me at the table, introduced herself, and took my drink order. My drink was quickly served, and the specials were suggested. I went with the NY Steak and all the trimmings. My salad was served, and before it was gone my meal was there. The steak was done perfect (rare) and so were the freshly made onion rings. The baked potato was also done perfect. (I'm and Idaho potato farmer so yes, I was impressed) Brandy kept a close eye on my progress, and my drink never got below half full. The atmosphere was good, football on the many TV's, and a lively crowd of locals. People came and went, and it seemed that everyone knew each other. Many people made me feel at home even though I was obviously and "out of towner." Over all, fantastic food, excellent service, and a fun time was had. I can't wait to go back. Thanks for a great evening.

In the downtown district of Hastings Nebraska there is Murphy’s Wagon Wheel. This a great corner setting with an old bar in the center of it. Lots of locals have a set at the bar on a daily occasion. aI would recommend their tender and juicy pork ribeye cooked over hickory wood, I rate it to be the best that I have had. Then right down the street is the old mercantile.
