Fuji Japanese Steak House

It was extremely busy. Glad we had reservation for a group of 12. Food was cold by the time we recieved it. Although it was cold it was tasty. We all ordered from the combination hibachi. The hibachi cook was funny and he did a great job at cooking our meal. The down side is that he makes the rice first, then vegetables and then meats. So our rice got cold while we waited for the meat and then the vegetables Yet again all the food was tasty. Our Server was great she was attentive to our needs.

Everything was really good we've been wanting to check this place out forever now, also not sure why a lot of reviews complain about having to wait for a seat, we went on a holiday and were able to get right in, no issue, no wait. There was a wait for the sushi but that's typical anywhere you go and we were prepared for a wait. Our waitress I wish I remembered her name she was the sweetest and kept apologizing for the wait which again was no issue and absolutely not her fault either, she was one of the nicest servers we've had in awhile and made sure to leave a good tip, well definitely have to be back everything was really good 👍

I get the shrimp pate, and it's always good. It gets a little crowded, but the atmosphere is nice. The service is good, I Did not give it 5 stars. because it's so busy that even if they try it's still a long wait.

We’ve been to many Japanese Restaurants and this one definitely stepped up and did an amazing job! Food was done quick and efficient; the chef was funny And very entertaining especially for our boys. I love when they interact with the boys and make them feel part of the show. The kids love hibachi shows especially fire parts. The drinks were delicious and the area was very clean. Very spacious dining room. I’d highly recommend this place.

We eat here once or twice a year when visiting monticelo. Went for dinner last night and loved it as usual. Great service, and even better food. My 7 year old who is a picky eater and never likes anything was obsessed with the noodles and steak. He insisted I leave a good review, haha. Recommend to all. Nice that it's in the mall also. After all that food we took a long walk around checking out the stores.

We celebrated my granddaughter's 22nd birthday and it was a blast. The food and the service was great.

I can’t explain why I generally hate hibachi. Every time I’ve gone I found it to be quite cheesy and loud. The cringy performances just make me feel like the chef was being held against their will and being forced to perform. With that being said, I found Fuji to be fun and authentic. It wasn’t too over the top. It was just enough cheesy mixed with some actual talent! The staff here are the true stars of this place! I received attentive service and warm and friendly vibes from every single person I met who worked here! The place was clean and the service was prompt! The drinks were delicious and as strong as you’d expect from a restaurant. All in all I enjoyed my food and the atmosphere! I would definitely come again!!!

I have been taking my family here for years. Whether you want the atmosphere of sitting at a hibachi table or the stand dining experience, this place is it.

A few notes for if you choose to eat at a hibachi table unless you have a large party, be prepared to share your table with other guests. They do all the normal tricks you expect. This does however make it take longer to get your food. Always try a bite of your food before you add any sauce, to show respect to your chef. Then add all the yum yum sauce. Just do it. All of it. It's so good.

As for the normal dining experience, my wife and I went for Valentine's day. First time doing this for us. The food comes a lot faster. It was nice knowing we had our own table. It's still just as delicious. The way staff was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you Will.

All in all, this place is fantastic. We always looks for an excuse to come here.

First off, the wait time to get seated was a bit long. However, it could have just been the night and time we went. The hostess kept checking in with us though, which I thought was great. At no point in waiting did we have to wonder what was happening or how long before we got a table.

The chef was Amazing and made our experience a very fun one. How he interacted with all of us at the table and just made us laugh while preparing an amazing meal.

Then they sang me Happy Birthday!!!! Great place to have a great meal if you are in the Middletown NY area. Make sure you ask for extra yummy sauce 😉

Great place to eat, excellent food. Our waitress Claire was amazing! So attentive and very sweet. I will definitely be coming back.

Fugi is a very pretty restaurant. Good service. Very nice portions. Our food was delicious. I had a crispy duck appetizer that was like having Peking duck without the pancake. Fabulous. The age tofu was also well done. Sushi was delicious. Pricing is moderate. For 2 people it cost about $ 65 dollars, but that included 2 appetizers and 1 entree per person plus tea and one drink. You could easily spend less on a great meal here.

The food was delicious. The service was terrific. We were seated right away and the waiter was friendly and polite. As we ate, the waiter asked us a few times how everything was. I recommend this place for a relaxing evening.

My family and I love this place. Best habachi restaurant in town. They make great drinks and always put on a good show. The food is delicious. Their yum yum sauce and dressing are so good. We go at least once a month and always buy their sauces!!

This is a nice hibachi restaurant in the area. It is usually pretty busy, so I would try to make a reservation ahead of time with if you have a big group. All the food I’ve had there is pretty tasty. The hibachi dishes are super large portions and I would probably split just one order between two people next time.

This place is amazing, the chefs are very entertaining and the food delicious. Their steak is cooked to perfection and their salmon is perfect. I can’t wait to go back again

Definitely a fusion of cuisines to satisfy the masses, and satisfy it will!!!! You have the option of sitting in to dine at private table or join the hibachi table or take-out. Food and drinks are guaranteed to hit the spot

We absolutely LOVE the sushi here!!! The habachi is good even though I’m not a huge hibachi fan I enjoy it and the cooks are fun and entertaining. We always come back here not only because of the delicious sushi but also because of their great customer service! Thank you all

Fuji is always a great experience. Can't complain about staff, they're always nice and accommodating. The food is always amazing. Sometimes you get seated with mildly unlikable people, but you can just ignore that. 10/10 love fuji!!!
