Charkol

Enjoyed a fantastic dinner with my friend Andrew Marolda! The restaurant is solid with A+ hand-cut fries, fresh baked bread, and homemade ricotta. Just a small note, they don't offer A1 sauce, but it's not a big deal! The steak was decent, earning a solid B rating. However, for the price point of $175 in NJ, I expected a better cut of meat. Nevertheless, the ambiance was great and the service was superb overall. Jeff was our server. Started a bit bumpy due to change of shift and no one knew to take us. But Jeff rebounded back well.

Our experience at Char-kol was amazing. We had valentines evening reservation and they had a very nice prix fixe menu. The place is BYOB so it goes very well to get your own drink of your liking. Leaf(our server) made our evening very pleasant by his service and recommendations. House made ricotta and their pizza are my personal recommendation along with the ribeye for entree. They have valet parking and the town sometimes has some free lot parking across the street. Ambience of the place is quite unique and industrial.

The dry aged steak is amazing. It’s cooked in cherry and oak wood 🔥The truffle mac and cheese was amazing. The octopus was both tender and crispy. The pizza was very solid. The s’mores desert cake was moist and sweet but not too dense. I highly recommend Charkol!

Our waiter name was James. He was phenomenal. Food was great. I had the portehouse for 2 and it was cooked to perfection. Appetizers were very good.We had the pork belly and the charcuterie board. Food was so good i forgot to take a picture of my steak.

Very cool modern design restaurant with some amazing steak and other goodies. We had 45 day dry aged tomahawk and it was delicious. Lamb chop appetizers was very flavorful and juicy. Pork belly was filled with texture and very well marinated. Those would be by go to dishes

Amazing food and atmosphere. We had the tomahawk and lobster, it was outstanding! Charcuterie board was the best i ever had. Our server, Christine was so sweet and knowledgeable about the food and offered great recommendations for wonderful experience. We will definitely be back.

Man- there’s some spots in Monmouth County, char in Redbank, the block in long branch, and I’m gonna put this place right up there with those two previous places.

Only downside, is that it’s BYOB, after that, there’s no downside it’s all straight uphill from there.

Leif our server was hands-down, the best server I’ve had in a very, very long time.

Personable attentive really made the meal enjoyable.

Food quality in preparation was outstanding. We had a top full of guys from a conference and this dinner smashed it out of the park.

What a Christmas Eve dinner! Party of 6 and all were happy. Tomahawk steak, 50 day age for two, speechless. Service was excellent. Our server, Leif, was awesome. His Recommendations were on the money!! He really made us feel like 5 stars customers. Thank you sir. Everyone was happy. The White pizza for kids, PERFECT! THE Mrs scallops was flavorful. After all his Recommendations for dessert was a great end to the evening. It was a combo of all the deserts in the menu. Spoiled!! I highly recommend dining here. The decor was classy and welcoming. The wife and I will be back for dinner for two. Cheers!

The place is beautiful, conveniently located. Food was great, definitely recommend ordering a bunch and sharing. Favorite dish was the tomahawk and Caesar salad

My boyfriend and I had the most amazing evening celebrating my birthday at this remarkable steakhouse. I had the most incredible dining experience at Charkol! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming ambiance. The owner, Jason, truly knows how to create a memorable atmosphere.

The menu was a delightful journey of flavors, with each dish expertly crafted and bursting with fresh ingredients. I couldn't get enough of their signature dishes, especially the brick oven pizza. It was a culinary masterpiece!

The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, making sure every detail of our meal was perfect. It was evident that Jason instilled a sense of passion and dedication in the entire team.

I can't recommend Charkol enough! It's a gem in the culinary world, and Jason is undoubtedly the heart and soul behind its success. If you want a dining experience that's nothing short of extraordinary, this is the place to go!

First and foremost, the place is absolutely beautiful!! Second, the bread and the Truffle Butter was incredible!! Third, for Apps, the Thick Cut Bacon is a must have!! My wife loved the Charred Octopus!! The Roasted Bone Marrow was also delicious. Now, for dinner, we had the 12oz Skirt w/ a lobster tail, garlic mash & the mushrooms. Steak was perfectly cook and the taste was amazing!!! Garlic mash, I could've eaten all night!! Definitely would recommend and go again!! Lastly, and more importantly the experience wouldn't have been as pleasurable if it wasn't for the best service provided by Christine & Haley!!! Christine's knowledge of the meal and her suggestions were great help. They both also checked in on us multiple times which was appreciated!!

Outstanding dining experience! The food was GREAT, and the ambiance was delightful. The aged porterhouse steak was an absolute delight, and the sauce complemented it perfectly. I'd recommend passing on adding the chimichurri and garlic butter they were okay but not worth the additional $10, but the sausage onion white pizza and pepperoni with hot honey were fantastic choices. Additionally, the pork belly appetizer was a true highlight besides the steak. Worth every penny! Lastly Byob with brewery next door.

Another amazing dinner at Charkol. Our waiter Key was very knowledgeable of the menu and a really outgoing guy. We had a wonderful time. Cannot wait to go back.

From the moment we entered until we left everything was great. David our server took a few minutes to explain the menu and mad a few suggestions. Service was outstanding. The food was cooked to perfection. This is a must go to if you have not been. We will return.

The Food Was Awesome. My wife 1st time here and we had a great time. Kei our server was absolutely the best 👊🏿. He made sure our visit was great and we was comfortable. We had the NY strip, Roasted Veggies, Short Rib Gnocchi. Everything was good.. A beautiful date nite with my Girlfriend (wife)

Such a great restaurant! One of the best dinners I’ve had in a while. Everything was so good between the food and the service and the atmosphere! My steak was phenomenal and so was the dessert. Our waiter Kei was one of the nicest waiters I’ve ever had and was very attentive and super sweet! Definitely coming back again soon!

This is our first time in this place to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The place is nice and cozy, Their short rib gnocchi are bomb same as the corn chowder! We got so excited to try the food and forgot to take some pictures, but it’s all worth it! Shout out to Jack who served our dinner! He’s so cool and very attentive!
