First off- it smells SO GOOD in here!! They do have a sign that says "Free Smells," and it does not disappoint 😂

Why is Jimmy John's superior? Their bread. Period. Their bread is the absolute best, freshly baked and ready to go. My sandwich hit the spot. I recommend!

I'm not a huge sandwich fan but it was good this time around. The staff is like a 6 out of 10. They were nice, but more could be done with training them on customer service interactions.

We ran in right before closing and we were starving. I have worked in food service before and I immediately felt bad about asking them to make us sandwiches. I told the employees I would just leave, not wanting to do that to them. The employee at the register (09/22/2022) was incredibly kind and convinced me to order, telling me how happy it would make them feel if I ordered. They all talked with us and it was a great time. Our sandwiches were delicious. After a rough night, these young men and woman really ended it on a good note. Thank you for being a light in an understaffed world. Please reward these employees.

I love these guys! they're always very fast at making my sandwich, and they're always super friendly whenever I come in. I've been to the store like five times in the past week, and it's always been a pleasant atmosphere and an enjoyable experience to order there. I love the sandwiches that they have, and it's probably one of my new favorite restaurants for quick and mostly healthy food.

Jimmy John's has never disappointed me. It's a great sandwich shop all around. On this particular visit, I had a "billy club" - superb!

All I have to say is WOW. Thank you for having such amazing customer service. I ordered a tuna lettuce wrap with no tomato, cucumber and cheese; but to also add a few other things. I got my sandwich and it had none of what I wanted and all of the things I didn’t want. I called the store and the nice lady on the phone was so sweet she made it right with my order and had a replacement sent to me. A+ honey, that was the best customer experience I’ve had in such a long time. Thank you!

They got my sandwich out in under a minute, the bread was cooked perfectly, store was spotless, all the drivers were hustling and everyone was very kind. The only thing I'd say they could work on is greetings, other than that, 5 stars all around. Definitely made me miss working for Jimmy's :)

“Jacques Denim” is my alias, and much like Jimmy John’s sandwiches: fairly cheesy. I personally work at the Jimmy John’s in Layton, Utah, and have for the past 21 months. I help make the sandwiches, and help deliver them. I know the area like the back of my hand (what the heck... is that a freckle?), and my delivery time is much faster than my sandwich-making. I’m not a manager or spokesperson for this store, or for the company, but maybe I can address some of your concerns in a neutral, unbiased way.

The Layton store is part of a strip mall which runs the length of a city block. Jimmy John’s shares the same plumbing with the mall. I can’t speak for the other stores, but our floor drains do get backed up, occasionally, especially when there is never-ending street construction going on, all year-round. We have a very strong store pump which plugs into the wall. It instantly reverses the flooding. All that’s left to do is the mopping. Whomever mopped the restrooms after one particular flooding, probably forgot to use our Green sanitizer solution, which kills germs, and actually smells minty. (Street construction was recently responsible for shutting off our water completely, for more than a few minutes, in all honesty.) But I’ve always been proud of our attractive bathrooms. Unlike other fast food restaurants, and convenience stores, we don’t tolerate graffiti or vandalism, and our restrooms are cleaned at least twice a day. If we’re super-slammed with many orders all at once (which happens quite often), we need all hands on deck, and we can’t always monitor the restrooms until we’ve caught up. It’s bad business telling a very hungry customer, who only has 25 minutes to eat lunch, “I’m sorry, I’ll get right on it, making your sandwich, after I’m done cleaning the restrooms!” As for our bread being “dry and hard,” well, it’s traditional French bread, and it waits on the cooling racks by the dozens, to be used on the sandwich line. We bake it fresh, after it’s had enough time to rise, and the moistness or “dryness” of each sub roll depends on how that sub roll is used. Some customers prefer extra oil and vinegar, and/or extra mayo, veggies, lettuce, hot peppers, onions, pickles, cucumbers, or tomatoes. These extras not only moisturize the bread, but, too many extras can make it a little soggy. We do special requests all day long, and that’s our job. If you buy traditional French bread at any store or bakery, its two ends are not going to be as soft as the middle of that loaf. Our French bread gets used so quickly, anyway, that we sometimes give a customer a sandwich while the bread is still warm from the oven. We also have nine-grain bread (thick-sliced-flat, or the nine-grain sub roll). It’s much softer (and healthier), and we keep it moist inside a transparent, covered bin. Since the French bread is preferred ten times more than the nine-grain, we use the French too fast to put it all in covered bins. Our bread rack on wheels can hold (100) 16” sub rolls at a time, if necessary. Every bakery probably uses the same system.

There’s a lot more to cover in my review, which is merely a fast-tracked response to concerns. Again, I haven’t been authorized by anyone to write this response. I just thought I could help, by giving you all the point of view of someone from The Inside. I’ve never regretted working for Jimmy John’s, and I’ll never get tired of their food. I’ve eaten at many other fast food places, and I’ve never witnessed more upbeat comradeship than at my job. (At one particular franchise, that starts with an “M,” I’ve tried to enjoy my burger while watching the kitchen crew constantly yell at each other. Thank goodness there’s only DRIVE-THRU these days!)

I ordered online and it took 30 mins for them to make 6 sandwich which in my opinion is fast. They immediately greeted me when I entered to pick up and were very energetic. The sandwiches were amazing!

Love this location. I accidentally put in the wrong address and they still sent out a new order for me. Great customer service and so polite even though the mixup was on my end. Definitely recommend them!

This Jimmy Johns location has never let me down. I live nearby and they are always quick and friendly. I order the Italian and add peppers and think its a pretty great value.
