All American Liquors

Ok late post Oct 23' but I thought I should share this info with those who forgot that Texas is a state that does not sell alcohol on Sundays, you can go to a bar, buy beer or wine till a certain time but not hard alcohol. I totally forgot (arrived from Los Angeles on a Sunday =/ ), I was soooo looking forward to pre-drinking and not spending so damn much at a bar (ACL weekend). Blehhh had to wait till Monday, stayed at the Hyatt and read mixed reviews about other liquor stores, so I decided to take a nice walk across the river to visit this spot. The customer service was superb, they sell all kinds of liquor, you name it, they probably have it! Thank you!

Ok I lied, they probably sell the popular brands, its not as big as a bevmo. LOL

Great selection, location and friendly service!

This place is always clean and conveniently located in the heart of downtown. The owner does a great job keeping the riffraff out and is always helpful when it comes to finding products. All the prices are reasonable. They aren't the cheapest in the State, but it's not even worth thinking about if you consider how much you would spend to get in your car and drive a few miles, wait in traffic and come back. If you are vacationing and want some alcohol for the room, or want to throw an after work happy hour, this is your place!

I am changing my 1 star to a 5 star review as I have revisited this location and the new ownership/staff is really up to par when providing quality service in downtown Austin. I appreciate the new look and attitude. Thank you!

I live just south of the river, but I will drive past even the big chain stores to get to the AMAZING deals and excellent customer service that All American Liquor offers.

The owner, DJ, keeps me updated with the latest whiskeys and goes out of his way to help me track down and special order some of the harder to find whiskeys and bourbon! Can't find your favorite? Go to All American Liquor and see DJ!!!

Best liquor store downtown. I walked over from my hotel. Great selection of liquor with local beers and all sorts of wine varietals and champagne. Reasonable prices considering the downtown location. I stocked up.

As a foreigner, I asked about local products to bring back home. The shopkeeper was delighted to help me ("I never get to talk about that stuff") and proved to be very knowledgeable. The prices seemed to be reasonable by central european standarts, at least in the whiskey/bourbon section where I spend my money.

Apparently new owners and the employees were seriously so amazing! We were staying for the weekend and Kat was so sweet with local booze recommendations. Convenience + customer service = 5 stars!!!

Staying in Austin at the Omni All American was just around the corner on Brazo and 4 blocks to 4th street right on the corner. Owner was helpful and friendly. The store is away from the serious panhandlers which is nice. I'll keep this shop in my memory.

Really nice for a liquor store. They're still unpacking, but seems like it'll be a really cool place. Super helpful, really friendly, and doesn't hurt that the woman at the counter was worth the trip by herself ;)

Always friendly and very knowledgeable team! Has a large variety of options. Personally I like to support local shops and do not feel this shop is over priced, very reasonable and I know I’m supporting local!

I always liked the location of this place but since under new management I think I love it. Great selection, friendly service, store layout is starting to look on point.

New, clean, convenient location and good customer service. I always go to this liquor store because the other liquor downtown is too close to the homeless shelter and can be sketchy when it's dark.

Kat knows what you want and will help you find it. If they don't have it, they will get the product in for you. Always bringing in new, innovative selections.

This is a pretty new liquor store downtown but the owner Abe seems to have everything you need. It's also the closest liquor store to 6th street downtown and right across the street from Handle Bar.

The place is extremely clean and has an excellent selection. The owner was very helpful finding me what I was looking for.

This was my first time buying liquor for my 21st bday and the girl was so helpful with helping me find the right liquor I needed for the drinks I wanted to make!
