Pine Cone Cafe

Second time eating her. First time great. Ate there last week. Eggs were barely cooked. I don't mind runny eggs...but these really uncooked. Pancake was way overcooked. Rest was pretty good. Nice staff and owner. - EDIT: owner responded below and is correct that I should have said something, thank you.

My husband and I just had brunch here driving through town. I had the mushroom swiss burger and I added bacon. My husband had the meat lovers omelet and English muffin. The bacon was a $3.99 up charge, but they take it seriously… so much delicious bacon. Everything was just excellent! Service was great and it was a real quick turnaround. If we pass through again, it’ll be hard not to stop again!

Let me just start off by saying if you're looking for a great spot to grab some delicious breakfast food, COME HERE! My boyfriend and I recently took a road trip out to Michigan to do some camping. The first morning we were searching around for a good breakfast spot to grab something to eat before our day and we ended up stumbling across this gem! We loved it so much that first day of our vacation that we actually decided to come here every morning of our trip. They had an amazing menu with a variety of options that were all so delicious! The service was amazing and the waitresses were so friendly and attentive. Being that it was labor day weekend, it did get to be VERY busy - which is understandable for such a great place - the ladies knew what they were doing and handled it smoothly! I hope I'm able to get up to this area again some day and enjoy some more of their delicious food.

Excellent food ! You definitely won't leave here hungry. The wait staff is great especially Kyle.

First time here this morning, and will definitely be coming back!!! Small hometown cafe in downtown Land O Lakes Wisconsin, breakfasts were EXCELLENT!! Great atmosphere, lots of local folks here, (if the locals are here you know it’s good!!). We both had the skillet breakfast, with toast, eggs and coffee, my Dad would always say…. If they have good coffee they will have good food( he was right!!)

Stopped in for the buffet breakfast with our ATV/UTV Club. Food was great
Service was excellent. We loved it.

Update: The last several times I was in the Pine Cone, the food and service were excellent. It is so good to see this restaurant return to its former excellence. Well done.

Earlier Review: This used to be an excellent neighborhood cafe, but under the new owner the quality of the food has fallen to the point that I will no longer go there. On my last visit the bacon tasted rancid, the toast had an orange colored margarine on it instead of butter, and the hash browns weren't fully cooked. It's sad to see what it's become.

Good place for breakfast in the woods biscuits and gravy and skillets are bomb!

Been eating here long before the ownership change and it is my go-to for breakfast. Great portions, menu is amazing and the variety of specials makes going a new experience every time. Looking forward to chicken and dumplings for lunch tomorrow!!

If you walk out of this place not feeling like you have a huge, overfull belly go see a doctor because there is something wrong with you! I go here before I hit the lake and I'm good for the rest of the day. Some of the best eats in the northwoods!!! Go! Don't think about it just go and eat! You see that I am indeed right!

Honestly, the food, portions, service and prices here are OUTSTANDING. This is one of my favorite little cafes in the state of Wisconsin. Jessica is always happy polite and pleasant. Quick in and out makes fishing or hunting days perfect with an awesome base for the day. Highly recommend supporting this local restaurant.

My husband and I were there today for lunch we ordered the cod fish fry with potato pancakes and it was fantastic! Cod was great but I have to say, you need to order the potato pancakes! The best I have EVER had! I'm 60 years old so I had a lot of them all over and these are the best hands down!!! We had the fried chicken here before and again, best we ever had!!! Kudos to the chef!!!! Waitress was awesome also. We will be back again guaranteed!!!

My family and I were in Land O Lakes for the weekend and ate at this gem for breakfast both mornings. Great food! Our waitress was awesome, extremely friendly, quick and courteous. If I'm ever up in that area again would definitely eat here again!

Breakfast was amazing. If they still have it ask for the breakfast skillet you will not regret it. Burgers looked very good as well. They close early afternoon so get there in the morning. Service was great very attentive to our needs. Cheese curds looked and smelled very good however we did not have any at the time.

Can't get better then the Pine Cone. My favorite breakfast tucked away all the way up North. Clean, delicious and the friendliest service.
