Gateway Lodge

Nice atmosphere, good food, nice sized portions, good service, but food coming out of the kitchen was a bit slow. No complaints from anyone in our party regarding the food quality, several of whom had Prime Rib, and one shrimp dinner. Online menu is outdated, as prices were slightly more, just like every restaurant we have been to in the last few years. The bussers were awesome. Yes, I'm referring to the young ladies who kept the room in tip-top shape. A+ to those girls! Arrive early, as there were five tables waiting for the restaurant to open, and it did not slow at all. We will definitely return.

Great rooms, friendly staff, and good vibes. With almost everything we encountered we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms are cozy and well decorated. Having the two room suite is really nice.

Went here for the first time for my birthday weekend! Will always go here now! So quaint, beautiful and perfect. Old style charm and the best service and food.

We went for our anniversary and it was magical. Excellent food and service and the prices were very reasonable. We will be back!

If you're looking for an old school lodge, this is the place for you! Been going up for 2 years now. Family is exactly how you're treated when staying here.

Honestly one of the best lodges I’ve ever come across! Gateway has so much to offer including a cocktail bar, restaurant with great food, a huge spacious pool and hot tub and even a sauna! The suites have much room to lounge in and a whole kitchenette if you would like to cook or warm up food. My family had a wonderful time in our three day stay and have always received assistance when asking questions or needed anything by the staff. The place has tons of history as well! 10/10 would recommend this place as a place to stay for one day or multiple!

I used to live in Land O' Lakes until I was almost 17. The gateway has so many memories, my Grandma Angie Stop used to take us here all the time. Every time my husband and I take a visit back up north we stay here. It's so Clean, comfortable and a great location. The staff is always friendly, the pool and sauna are a great perk. The price is just right!!! I love it here, they do it so well and have kept it great for decades and decades. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Great atmosphere in the lounge and dining area. We all enjoyed the boiled shrimp dinners. Everything was delicious. Tammy did a great job serving us and has a fun personality. If you've never been to The Gateway during the holiday season, stop in. They have a huge tree in the lobby and several others throughout. It's beautiful!

We love their duck. Soup, hot buns, appetizer spread was all great. Our waitress was terrific!

The staff are very polite and acomadating and the room was very clean. The lounge was very good and the bartender made the best old fashion s I have ever had. The restaurant and the staff are excellent and I had duck nu and the filet was cooked excellent. My friend had the rib eye and it was great also. I love this place! Thank you gateway @

My husband surprised me with this vacation for our 3rd wedding anniversary. All I can hope for is this will be a annual trip. Everyone there is very friendly and the things to do is unlimited ❤. Location is great. Casino down the road a few miles. We visited Bond Falls(which is a must ❤). We rented a UTV from across the street, that was a blast. If your into golf, there's a course next door. Awesome choices to dine at for restaurants. I recommend Brew Pub down the road. Not a bored moment there.

The chef is amazing, great food excellent service and amazing because he runs the kitchen alone! Saturday night prime rib is butter knife tender. Outstanding meal in a historic location.

Cute place. Took my wife there last weekend for our anniversary. Reminds me of an old ski lodge, which is what I think they're after. Didn't eat at the restaurant, but the parking lot was full on Friday night. Makes me think that its pretty good. Got a king suite, room was clean and set up neat. 2 twin beds pushed together, but we both slept well both nights. Pool area was clean, hot tub was very nice. Nobody but us in there at the time, very nice. Definitely on the list of places to go back to!

Very unique rooms. A comfortable lodge with a decently sized dining hall, bar, and lobby. Nice fireplace and couches/tables in the lobby for games, and plenty of space in most rooms for socializing as well. Pool and hot tub were very nice, and on a far end of the building so no possible interruptions of other guests. It was overall a very enjoyable experience.

It is simply the best for dinner, the staff is friendly and professional. The lounge bartenders are so nice. You would think that the gateway would be expensive. It is very reasonable. I love it there.

Had a great time at the G.W. and the Land O Lakes area.go up north and try it for yourself..

The place was great for families, or couples. Neat log cabin decor, ALL of the staff were great. Food was excellent, we always come back here.

This is a rustic lodge, not a traditional hotel. Its ambiance is striking the moment you walk in, and continues throughout. Though older, the rooms are immaculate and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The Gateway offers trap shooting, golf and ATV trails, and the staff is happy to put you in touch with guides for fishing and other sport. I could not have enjoyed this experience more.

Stayed there 2 nights in August due to the Watersmeet Casino Hotel canceling my reservation. Friendly staff at check in and clean and accommodating rooms. We dined at the in house restaurant both nights, it was very good and reasonably priced.
