Wallington Diner

Very cool diner. 1950s retro themed. We came for breakfast and the food was incredible. We had a basic breakfast (omelette and French toast) but everything was delicious. Will definitely be coming back. Server was okay, but they were busy. But she was very nice.. The menu is very nice also - wide variety of options as well !! I recommend the locals come check it out.

Came here early in the morning not expecting to find a gem!

This guy Miguel is amazingly fast efficient and professional 👏 🙌 he wears white to stay clean... amazing, beautiful, cozy place. they are pretty awesome. Great team. Absolutely delicious food. I got the chicken franchise, definitely his specialty 👏

12-4-23 update: VERY disappointed with the french onion soup. "Tiny" amount of cheese and an onion ring on the top?? unlike last time where there was "tons" of cheese and awesome croutons.

10/15/23. Update:. went there for dinner and it was fantastic! I had the chicken Parmesan with spaghetti and French onion soup on the side and my daughter had the John Belushi burger and both were incredible!!! Just opened up:.Loved it & it won't be the last time. My kid's an Elvis fan and she was thrilled. Loved the decor! Everyone is very friendly and that's always a huge plus. The food was very good. Can't wait to go back!! Looking forward to when they serve dinner.

Overall great old school themed Diner to visit. Paul was very attentive along with the rest of the servers that continue to pour coffee as long as you’re willing to drink it 😎. Food was delicious; came out fast and still hot when it got to the table. The pancakes were your typical homemade style pancakes that took me back to my childhood.

Wow! It’s like going back in time, — they nailed the 1950’s design. The best pancakes! Mary and Linda hospitality was stellar.

This place is so cute and I love the retro decor. What's even better than the scenery is the food! I've only been for breakfast so far but everything was delicious! I would definitely recommend this place and I will be back for breakfast again as well as lunch and dinner.

Very cute and unique 50's themed vibe! So happy this local diner opened close to my place in Wood-Ridge. Ordered the Huevos Ranchero and Corn Beef Hash, both were excellent and fresh! Staff was super friendly! Will definitely come back! 🙂

Overall some good to great food depending on what you order. Friendly service. Nice decor. Kids love the chocolate chip pancakes. Good breakfast sausage. Lunch menu has some interesting items. The Ricky Ricardo, Cuban sandwich was slamming. Good fries.

Hello my dear readers…it’s baaaack !
Wallington used to have a great diner called FLAPJAX…sadly it, like many good eateries, didn’t survive Covid.

I’m happy to report that Wallington now has a diner called Wallington Diner. The management is new but the good people who made FLAPJAX special are back! The place has gotten a face lift (classic 50s theme) but the spirit of the quintessential Jersey Diner is vibrant.

My favorite “The Hungry Man” is now called the *The Longshoreman*

The quality of service and food is also 5 Stars ⭐

I thank the new management for bringing our favorite diner back.

Very friendly staff, comfortable and cozy place. Not a lot of veg options but were very accommodating to customize the dishes just like how we wanted, prepared well and delicious (definitely coming back). The lady (owner I believe) was generous to get some coloring activity for my daughter, kept her smiling and engaged.
Retro insipired Ambience is good but a little renovation might help.

My son and I had breakfast and we loved it. We love the 50's theme inside.
The service was great. I had pancakes which were big and tasted great.
(Better than IHOP).
My son had scrambled eggs with corned beef hash and hash browns, which he loved. The food came out quickly and was nice and hot.
The coffee was fresh and tasted great. We will keep coming back.

A hidden gem in Wallington. Fantastic food! Great Service! We were there for dinner and Andrea our server was super nice and funny. Loved the retro style of the diner. Highly recommended! Will be back for sure!

Newly open. Clean and nicely decorated. The place could be a bit more organized but I am giving the benefits of doubts given it’s just opened. The food is pretty good and reasonably priced. Our waiteress was super nice. Overall a good experience.

The food is delicious. I get the roast beef sandwich every time. It’s delicious And today I just tried fried calamari delicious
And I just tried the chocolate pudding for the first time too. It was delicious 🤤 too. I recommend this place is the best Diner in Bergen County I’ve been to this four times and I have recommended it

If what you are looking for is a family diner with a decent menu and nice service, check it out. Breakfast all day (try the Nova - eggs Benedict but with lox) and hand made hamburger patties cooked to temp.

A fun place to eat. All decor 1950s style. Food is beautifully presented and very good. Service was also right on spot. We will definitely return. Update. We stopped by and again were very pleased
We went at dinner time. Just for soup and sandwich. Both were delicious, service excellent and everyone there were very friendly and efficient.

Place to go for breakfast or lunch with the family. Little bit of wait for your order but at least it was all fresh made. Great desserts 🍨 🥧 🍦
