Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill

This was amazing! The place was packed, but didn't feel too bad with our booth. We started with cheese curds and pretzel appatizer, both of which were good, but the cheese curds were amazing!

After the appatizer, I got the green chili and avocado sandwich, which was also very good! The sandwich was a little spicy, but the avocado cut the spice and paired very well with it! The fries were also quite good!

I'll definitely be coming back again, if for nothing else than those cheese curds, they were to dream about!

Been here many times over the years and they still don't ever disappoint! I caught happy hour and a drink and my server was very attentive and sweet. She gave me more time to figure out what drink I wanted but I had her put in my Cali roll in first and it came out to me before she came back to take my drink order haha! I felt very well taken care of and appreciated her great work and checking in on me... nope that's all just grabbing a quick bite before I go back to cycle bar! I will definitely have to come back for happy hour when I'm around early enough. I also love their brunch, I've been twice and tried their Benedicts and the food has always been great. Dinners too. Last time I had their big gastropub burger with goronzola and maple bacon. It hit the spot 😋 especially when you're really hungry! I added the old pics from my visit last October for the burger. That was at their Washington Square location. Both locations are wonderful and consistent with quality and service.

Few pubs get all the elements of great service, good food and a fantastic ambience right, as this place does.

Well made burgers a d entres coupled with a huge list of drinks make the place a perfect getaway even on a work day.

Their royalty is something worth registering for, to get some free stuff coming along your way

Weekend brunch was so good that we went here back to back days. Their Benedict’s were amazing and very flavorful. Chilaquiles was loaded and great. Scotch Eggs were perfect. Only complaint was the michelada had way too much Bloody Mary mix but this is a very minor issue compared to the overall awesome experience that brought us back two days in a row. Obviously recommend.

Great food and service. Our server Sean was friendly, funny and helped us decide what to order from the menu since it was our first time there. The cauliflower was amazing! The atmosphere was good. Just a little noisy - but it was busy so that should be a good indicator that it’s the place to be on a Friday evening.

Blood orange margarita was good. And the bacon wrapped shrimp. Disappointed that the scotch eggs were dry and not very flavorful. I had scotch eggs about 6 years ago at a place I once worked at and I loved them. I have been thinking about them and wanted to try them ever since and this is the first time I’ve come across a menu that serves them. I was really disappointed.

Our server patiently waited on our large table of woman and he was very accommodating. Good job Jimmy! Thanks for making our dining experience so special with the ladies. He was so kind to switch out the Scotch eggs with something else and that’s what I call good service!

Excellent service was very attentitive, answered a few questions , and she came often to see how things were going . The food was very tasty started with a. California rolls would say standard plus presentation was great 4.5, soup was very tasty ,nice flavor To it excellent option ... drink was a mai tai ,not as fruity as other places but taste good and did the kick . The steak was medium good charcoal taste without the oily flavor .. veggies actually were really good , saltee and charcoiled for the extra taste .. this was actually much better than years ago .. would go again for sure .. for atlantic salmon or else ..

Luis A G was our server last night when we came in and he was awesome! I saw him running back and forth making sure everyone got their food in a timely manner. It was super busy and our food still came out timely and was super delicious. We will definitely be coming back.

@eatswithvick on Instagram - always enjoy coming here. Staff are always friendly and food is great. Tonight we got the Pork Carnitas taco salad bowl & my partner got the Baja Fish Tacos. Both were really flavorful, fresh, quality. And the apple crumble dessert never hurts either

This is a great space for date night as well as large groups. The staff is friendly and attentive. Cam has served our large group twice and each time has been wonderful. He is prompt when collecting drink and food orders, often making thoughtful suggestions; always noting when new people join the table. Appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and will definitely be returning.

Love this place. Service is prompt and friendly. The food is insanely good. They’ve created some very unique and well created dishes that taste amazing.

I had a blood orange margarita that was excellent. The cheese curds we air fried and incredible, light and a blend of cheeses.

Ahi poke salad was so many ingredients that blended together wonderfully. Ahi had plenty of spice and delicious.

This place is a must, we’ll be returning to try the rest of the menu.

Parking was fine.
Outdoor seating was good but it was too close to the road, so lots of car noise and exhaust during the day but it's nicer in the evening when there's lower amounts of traffic.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The place was packed and lively. But the servers, although understaffed, kept up and we were still attended to well.

Drinks and cocktails were good.
Food was great, the Mac and cheese and fried chicken was really good as well as their pokébowl.

Dessert was good, the creme brulee tasted good.

I would return.

Had such an AMAZING time here. Atmosphere was great and the service was top notch (thanks to Sean)! Food was good, especially the Mac n’ cheese. Reservations are smart because it was busy, for good reason though!

Cam was excellent in all ways, he was friendly, professional, asked about starters and we talked about wine. The food was perfectly prepared and tasty and the dessert was awesome. What a great Valentines dinner. We loved the people, the atmosphere and foods!!

My daughter's and I go here every weekend for brunch, rarely miss a chance. Mikyla @Thirsty Lion is one of the most genuine and special people we've met. Between her customer care and the culinary experience, I don't foresee a weekend we won't be dining there.

Brittany was such a delight! Her service was excellent, and the food and drinks were amazing as well. Will definitely be back soon and ask to sit in her section.

Very good food, very good service. Highly recommend this place to go to. I will definitely come back next time. I am in the area.
