King Torta

I’ve been eating here for more years than I can remember! Still the best in this corner of the county. The King Burrito is a standout for me. Their street tacos are also excellent.

Kinda sucks that a national taco chain opened up across the street. I’m happy to keep eating here. They do a great job, and the value is amazing.

Same staff has been taking my orders and handing me delicious food the whole time!

Incredible food! Love the chimichanga. Huge, crunchy, and loaded with toppings. But everything we get there has been incredible. Service is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Prices are great for the amount of food you get. By far our favorite Mexican place around!

I like to eat here two or three times a month. It’s my go to place when I’m in the mood for “fast food“. However, unlike fast food, the food is fresh and homemade while you wait and always tastes great. The staff are always smiling and having a good time and they’re happy to see you when you come in.
Highly recommend to try some great authentic Mexican street food from their vast menu.

Best mexican food in town. The carne asada taco plate is my favorite but occasionally get the enchiladas and taquitos. Also the shrimp fajitas. GF loves the carne fries w/ cheese. Staff is the most friendly and they are quick.

Wonderful people and service. A truly family run restaurant. I have been eating at King Torta since 2009 and I keep coming back because of the service and food. They are so fast that I even when I have my keys in hand I'm and going out the door I can't beat them to the counter even though I only live 7 minutes away! There are times when they are busier such as weekdays at lunch when the local law enforcement officers are having a lunch meeting but most of the time it's 10 minutes for an order to be ready.

I particularly like the taco dinner plate and taquitos.

Love the food here and the people/service are so warm and welcoming. Who needs atmosphere when you have good food and good people working there? We always get the food to go anyway and it never fails to amaze us that they can have really good food at such reasonable prices.

In my family, it is common knowledge that if you want Mexican food you go to King Torta.

The interior could use some renovation, but that doesn’t matter much when the food and service are excellent and they keep the dining area clean.

Great place, in the same price range as the nearby Taco Bell, but with better food and employees that actually take your order and call out when it's ready. Not the best dining room layout, but they're working with what space they have. Their burritos are big enough for two.

Deserves a 10 out of 5. Phenomenal service from the person at the counter, food is delicious and portion size is great. Can't wait to come back!!

The best local food places in north plains and Hillsboro. The food is deliciously good, gives you a proper home made feels. Their shrimp taco is my fav or all. The lunch box comes with rice, beans and 2 tacos of your choice of meat. Highly recommended to try out this place, the ambiance might look a bit old, but I bet the taste of the food never disappoints. Easy quick and simple. One of my goto places for some quick bites.

First time in tonight: Clean place, tasty, friendly staff, and fairly priced. I ate too much, but that's a compliment. Looking forward to going back and checking out the rest of the menu.

I've eaten here for decades, the kids of the founders run it. Their pops taught them the only way and the same dish every time. You're bad miss if you don't stop. Thanks for your consistency King Torta!

The people are friendly, and the food has always been good, authentic, and fresh tasting.

It's an old bldg with FANTASTIC food & people. Very clean. Yummy. I highly recommend. Many of the locals call in their order ahead of time.

Looks can be deceiving because from the outside you'd never know the goodness that is behind the storefront! Best authentic tacos ever! Actually ALL their food is incredible! If you're craving Mexican food, this is the place! Folks are catching on because sometimes it's a little bit of a wait but so worth it! It ain't fancy but it is satisfying AND delicious! Tip them well, this family works hard and does their very best at all of it!!

Heading east out of Portland on hwy 26, you will pass the town of North Plains, Oregon. I drive by King Torta on occasion as I do business out in North plains, but, today was the first time I've stopped. I ordered the King Torta milanesa. The telera bread was delicious and fresh, the ingredients were also very fresh. The milanesa steak was tender and not at all fatty or grisly. For $6.65 it was a great deal could easily feed two people! I got here early in the day so the business was not completely packed. I will say, in the past, every time I drive by, parking lot is full. I consider this as a good indicator that their product is solid. Next time I go out to North Plains I completely intend on hitting up King Torta. I'm excited to try some of their other other dishes. This is what a local Mexican place should be! Don't bother with the fake chain across the street, get yourself a big ol'burrito or some fajitas here instead

AUTHENTIC, and the prices are almost pesos, such a good deal. Amazing burritos!!!! Place is a thriving a local destination for dope mex food. Get some nommers in your tommers folks

Great little family-type Mexican food spot. It's more on the line of a cafe with a nicely varied menu. They also have one of the best burgers I've ever had - and it took me a while to even give it a try, since the other items were so good.

I've tried about everything, since I lived a couple miles away. I probably had the "King Burrito" the most...but the carnitas "dinner plate" was also a favorite. They also have tortas - and if you haven't tried "tortas" in general, you're missing out.

No fountain drinks, but they do have the Jarritos fruit sodas, and soft drinks...along with horchata and jamaica.

Right off the highway, easy off/on. Drop by on the way to/from the Coast and give them a try!
