M9 Suspension

On a recent ride of the Oregon BDR, I realized just how insufficient my stock Yamaha Tenere 700 suspension was especially when carrying luggage. We called in the morning and Darrin was able to complete my suspension upgrade and make a few other repairs that same day. New fork springs and revalve up front and new rear spring. Darrin transformed my Honda 450L. This was my first crack at custom tuning of suspension and I'm amazed at the difference. Darrin was super helpful and asked lots of questions about riding style to make sure it matched how I wanted the bike to ride. I'm no racer - I just was looking for a more compliant ride. Not only did it perform SO much better, but it actually made it a safer ride in general. Worth every penny. The only bad part was that I know realize how many decades I lost riding poorly suspended motos!

I bought a 2024 ktm 300 xc, and I thought the suspension was great from the factory, honestly I was worried about possibly making it worse. I wasn’t sure how I wanted it setup. I wanted this bike to do more hard enduro riding and soak up the smaller rocks but also do well in the faster trails and whoops. Darrin listened to me and said “sounds like you want hard enduro and lower it 1 inche”. (I’m 5’7”) Darrin absolutely nailed it. I traded my buddy that bought the exact same bike for a few miles and immediately hated the factory suspension. That suspension is now a work of art. Thanks Darrin.
