Bishop's Post

This had to be the best patio in West County!! We came on a very windy day, so I was not sure if dining on the patio was going to work. The patio is so large, with lots of seating options. We sat in the covered part by the outdoor fireplace. The wind did not bother us at all! The food was so good, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was incredible!

Great place for drinks and appetizers.
We had dinner reservations at 9pm at another spot & needed an appetizer.

Great service and staff. Apps were fantastic. Great selection of bourbon and red wine. I will be back for dinner in the future. Looks like they have an amazing outdoor area but obviously not in January.

Bishop’s Post is a great spot with an awesome patio, spacious bar area and a clean, upscale ambiance. Good happy hour and friendly, attentive service.. and the food is awesome! Various specials along with a packed menu of favourites.. check this place out, you won’t be disappointed!

One of the best if not the best place I've ever enjoyed. Food was delicious and perfectly cooked and proportioned. The staff were excellent and welcoming. Jasmine our waitress was sweet and very knowledgeable about both the food and the drinks we were served. The location is beautiful and while the patio was still closed for the season we could see it from our seat and were blown away by how beautiful and well thought out it was!!! All in all a 5 out of 5 stars all around.

We ate on the patio, which was gorgeous and had a lovely waterfall to enjoy during dinner. I wanted the beef tips but I'm not a fan of bleu cheese so the waiter suggested an alfredo sauce instead and it was amazing! I can't wait to come back and order it again. Our table also ordered the fried chicken, (which was half a chicken!) salmon, and shrimp & grits. All of them were very nicely sized proportions and super tasty! Highly recommend especially if you are looking for a stunning and spacious patio experience!

Carefully chosen Valentine’s Day dinner prefix menu, including choice of salad or soup, steak or seafood main meal, glass of wine and desert. And outstanding service!

I liked Bishops Post so much I went back a 2nd time while in St Louis area for five days. The wine and food was great. The garden patio is so beautiful.

My only complaint is on my 2nd visit I was there solo. I asked for outdoor seating and the hostess said the only available tables were in the sun, so I chose inside. From my window seat I saw open tables in shade, but those went to twosomes rather than a single (me).

AWESOME!!! My husband and I tried Bishop’s Post for the first time and was Wowed. We really enjoyed this elegant and classy fine dining experience. My husband ordered the salmon. It was tender and moist with a mouthwatering succulent sauce glaze over a bed of wild rice and vegetables. I had the baked macaroni and cheese and it was extremely cheesy and delicious. All at a reasonable price. Our waitress, Molly, was super attentive, kind, friendly and informative . She went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Overall, this is one of the best fine dining restaurants I have been to. We definitely will be back and recommend Bishop’s Post to anyone who appreciates fine dining.

came in on a saturday evening... used a high table in the bar area... service was great, well paced... food was delicious... atmosphere was nice, not loud... looked like the regular dining area requires a reservation... take the high table, they sit four and are spacious... we had the spinach dip, the butternut squash ravioli, the meatloaf, and the shrimp and grits... all were good and we had a great time!

Hands down the best upscale restaurant I have been to in Saint Louis area in quite a while. The food, drinks and service were 10/10 best in class. The facility itself was warm, clean and made it easy to enjoy everything else.
The menu items were better than their respective descriptions on the menu-even though the menu was well written and comprehensive. I was impressed with everything served to my table. After 25+ years in food and beverage, I didn't think I could be impressed by a restaurant-but Bishops Post proved me wrong.
The bar is very well stocked, and the wine list is exhaustive. Our party enjoyed wine and beer along with some very well prepared mixed drinks. Shot sizes were accurate and the prices charged for our drinks compared quite well with surrounding establishments.
I liked it so much I even took some pictures-which do not do it justice. In my opinion, their patio is the most relaxing natural outdoor dining facility in the city. Even in November the atmosphere-both indoors and out- lent itself to the overall experience being one of quiet opulence.
Thank you to the staff for the exceptional good time I enjoyed celebrating the birthday of my friend JF. I'll be back, and I look forwards to introducing friends and family to your exceptional restaurant.

This place passes the vibe check for sure. Great food, great atmosphere especially when the patio is open. Our server Sydni was amazing. Ribeyes were surprisingly some of the best steaks we've had and you can't beat the price. Street corn was also pretty addictive

Great food and great atmosphere. It does feel a little like a private place that you have to be a member to visit, as a first-timer, it was a great experience.

One downside was the Old Fashioned. Maybe I’m picky, but when a whisky cocktail comes as a completely full rocks glass, something’s probably off. This one, sadly, was about two parts water to one part bourbon.

Glad I finally made it here . The bartender/ server Brandon was fantastic. Great service and conversation. Very knowledgeable about the drinks and beer .
I ordered the shrimp po'boy. Excellent. The spicy sauce adds a great kick . Would definitely get it again .
Huge selection of spirits as well and lots of high end ones .

I was there for a baby shower last week. The staff were excellent and efficient. Food was great and the ambience was beautiful

Our server, Taylor B was absolutely amazing! She was very knowledgeable, attentive, and made the whole dining experience unforgettable! Love this restaurant!

Great place, good food, excellent variety of desserts and nice service. It has a big patio, recommended if there is nice weather outside.

This restaurant gets 5 stars because they didn’t rush us!! Yea!! My friend and I got to sit and catch up for as long as we wanted.

The food and service was good as well. It was clean. They have good parking. It was a great experience!

We had Father’s Day dinner at Bishop’s Post and it was our pleasure to be hosted by the lovely VIRGINIA. She was so attentive and so nice! (She even brought my 6 year old a little bowl of lemons- she eats them like oranges. Don’t ask lol)

We started out with the bacon wrapped shrimp in a chili glaze (to die for! Just order them!) and Caesar salads. I had a lemon drop martini that knocked my socks off and the husband and child had a refreshing lemonade. Our main courses were the 10oz filet and 14oz prime New York strip. So juicy! Full of flavor!

For desert I had the chocolate flourless torte, he had the cranberry cheesecake something, and the child had the fruit ice cream basket (I can’t remember the name). All delicious!

If you have something to celebrate or just want a great meal to fill you up choose Bishop’s Post. Hopefully you will be lucky enough to get Virginia. You will not be disappointed. And make sure to ask for some bread to go, amazing!

Always great food and great service! Can’t go wrong with the meatloaf or the shrimp and grits. Thanks for a great night Nick!
