Wonderful experience at this cute and pleasant restaurant in downtown Napa. Attentive and super efficient service, and they even offered to remix the drink when my wife didn’t enjoy the initial taste. Croque Monsieur was perfectly cooked, and all the other dishes were also tasty. Large free parking lot nearby.

Everything was perfect at Angèle! Our server was Madeline. She was super helpful and knowledgeable and recommended a great bottle of wine and was also fun. The food was delicious. We got the yellowtail crudo and escargot to start- both delicious. Highly, highly recommend that escargot! Our meals were also great- I got the risotto and my boyfriend got the lamb. Both were perfectly done, and the lamb was unbelievably tender. We finished with the pavlova for dessert, and a couple of dessert cocktails- easily the best espresso martini I’ve had! You have to come here if you’re in Napa.

One of the best restaurants in Napa. French flare , love the outdoor seating and attention to detail. Love the new cocktail and mocktail menu. Often do seasonal dishes. Amazing fries, fried artichokes, beef tartare. Great Nicoise salad.

What fabulous service and outstanding cocktails and food. I am a bourbon gal usually and a classic Manhattan is my go-to, so I tried the Coffee and Cigarettes cocktail - perfect! It was a bit chilly, but the outside patio was still plenty warm and a lovely place to sit!

Wonderful taste of fine dining by the Napa River. The fried artichokes were a great appetizer, very much enjoyed the fish. Very fresh ingredients, friendly staff. A great place for friends with a calming ambience.

OH, ANGELEEEE, I love thee. I cannot recommend this place more. From its intimate dining atmosphere and delicious dishes to friendly and helpful wait staff, we had an incredible experience.

We were late to the game in making a reservation ahead of time so we got bar seating, but it certainly didn’t take away from the dining experience. The cocktails were excellent and our server was knowledgeable about the wines. I loved the crispy artichoke hearts and definitely recommend. The summer corn soup wasn’t my favorite but my partner loved it and said “it was the best thing he’s eaten in a long time.” The striped bass and the clams were very flavorful and I could have eaten it three times a day. First time here. The vibes were chill, relaxed, and mellow, and we had a great time here! Our table was next to the river and we enjoyed the views!

Services were friendly. I had THE BEST truffle fries ever in my life because the truffle was so fresh, smelled excellent, and authentic!

For a place on Napa downtown, this place is surprisingly good and should be rated higher.

Good:
- Service here is amazingly fast! So nice and makes it easy when you’re super hungry like us at 9:30 pm
- Loved the appetizers, especially the corn soup (cold and sweet) and Burrata with the super tasty bread. The tartare was good too
- The tagliatelle was so good and the way it merged cheesy and tangy flavor was amazing and portion sizes were good
- Good free butter and bread

Bad:
- Can be more on the expensive side
- A bit dim inside but still a good ambiance for catch-ups

Overall really pleased with our experience here after a day of drinking.

Superb French food. Highly attentive and thoughtful staff. Had informed helpful suggestions for excellent lesser known local wines. Accommodated one diner with chef preparing off menu items at their suggestion cheerfully and without being asked. Food was great and the ambiance soothing and relaxed and lively at bar where many diners chose to have their meal even when it wasn’t crowded at tables. Right by the water. Nice place for dinner.

We hosted a group dinner for 12, and it was perfect. The ambiance was lovely - energetic, but we could easily carry on conversation. The food was delicious and everything was brought to the table in a timely manner. The events coordinator and staff were so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!

A wonderful French meal with nothing that disappointed. Think French bistro with elevated touches.
April 2024 update: 2nd visit outperformed the first somehow. Service was attentive without being over imposing. Wine list is exceptional with the “house red” a wonderful Cote d’Rhone which was an incredible value. Food was as exceptional French country fare as last time. We will return during all our Napa visits.

It’s so beautiful that the food presentation makes you hesitate to devour it. But when you do the food is equally as flavorful as it’s presented.

The wait staff refilled and asked us regularly if they could help us in anyway.

Lunch, Feb 2024, excellent artichoke heart, appetizer, lentil, salad, Pinot Noir. Funny, waiter. Delicious!

We loved Angele! Great waiter, attentive service, lovely ambiance outside (bring a sweater--we had). Excellent: Deviled eggs, gazpacho, salted caramel dessert, lamb, bread, heirloom tomato salad, pretty & tasty drinks and ice creams. Not cheap but extremely well done at this level and we'd happily return.

Fresh oysters, muscles with truffle fries and escargot were delicious.

The dipping sauce for the ouster is lemony. The break on top of the escargot, is light and crispy (like a toasted croissant). They offer bread to start but you can dip it with the muscle sauce for extra flavour :) the chicken pot pie was flavourful and a good portion.

Wanted to spotlight one of the DWDV fam’s favorite spots in Napa: Angele! My boo & I were craving dessert one night after a dinner elsewhere and saw they had my all time favorite dessert, bread pudding so we decided to try it. It was DELICIOUS. We went JUST for the bread pudding another time and we’re like, “We should probably try the rest of the menu”

Since then, everything we’ve had has been outstanding. Let me give you a quick rundown:

Wine List - DOPE! - Great selection of French & Californian gems. They also offer carafes & half bottles which are nice options to have.

Food - Incredible - The best mussels and frites I’ve ever had. The salads are inspirational. The burger is everything you want and more. I mean, the food so good that even Pops tried the escargot and liked it! Ha. Seriously, this is one of those places where you feel free to take a risk because you know you will be rewarded with something beyond your expectations.

Decor - The flowers are always on point. Mom always loved when restaurants had stunning flower displays so I appreciate the work that is put into that aspect. The vibe transports you to the French countryside which always gives me warm memories of our family time in Provence..

Service - Exceptional attention to detail whether you’re stopping in for bread pudding, a glass, or a meal.

Bonus - They source from EXCELLENT producers like Tenbrink Farms & Vineyards

Nice atmosphere! Pleasant and didn’t feel rushed. I had the potato leek soup and the roasted chicken salad. The house rosé was a perfect compliment on a warm fall day. Yum!

The atmosphere of the outside area on a rainy day was dreamy and soothing. The service was fast, polite, and relaxed in the best way. The food was exquisite, and so were the mocktails. We really couldn't have had a better lunch.

Lunch with my daughter and her partner. We split 4 items and all were great. I really enjoyed the appetizer bean salad and the clams were spot on. Could have used a couple more servings of bread to enjoy the sauce!

My favorite French/California restaurant in Napa Downtown hands down. Delicious food, tasty drinks, Best location, great ambiance, top-notch service. We have been bringing business for several years and also have Dinned many times so as you can see I am overdue for this review.

If you are visiting Napa Valley for wine tastings make sure to include it for lunch, if doing it for dinner I would recommend not combine with a day of wine tasting because you need to make a fun experience and dress up for it. It’s not super fancy but for sure I have celebrated birthdays and anniversaries here as well as Bussines meetings. You are just going to love it.

The food we felt was good but a bit underwhelming for the price point. We had the crudo appetizer, tagliatelle pasta and streak and frites.

That said, the service was FANTASTIC. We had bar seats and our server helped us with a wine pairing for our food.
