Chris was able to get me in within an hour even without an appointment. I went and got lunch and when I came back he pulled my car right in and began working on it. I had purchased the replacement headlight bulb prior to coming in and they installed it for me. I also had an oil change which he gave me a good price for. At the last minute I asked if he would also rotate my tires which was done with no charge.
I have only been in TX for a little over a year and I can now feel secure that I have a great mechanic shop to take my car to! Thanks so much for going beyond the expected!!!

Chris was able to assist from from the very beginning by providing me with more information by phone on pricing for services. I was told by another facility I needed front and back work for brakes but felt like some of the work was not necessary and I was being taken advantage of. Chris won me over by phone and was able to give me an honest second opinion. The entire team worked me in for a quick evaluations and made me feel right at home with their transparency. I ended up having Chris and his team complete not only my front brake work but also an oil change. The pricing was reasonable and I was more than happy to trust them with my vehicle as each interaction felt personable for my needs. They replaced the front brakes and rotors on my SUV a month ago. Their price was not only $300 less than other shops I called.

They took the time to addressed additional concerns and answered questions with their expertise. This is not a shop that will tell you something needs to be fixed/replaced when it does not.

The manager, Chris was an absolute wealth of knowledge, and one of the most incredible people that I have met in Austin, Texas. Extremely helpful, he and his team found the best options to fix my car for the least amount of money. I have suggested, and will continue to suggest multiple people to their company, without a doubt one of the best car companies I have ever had the privilege of working with.

Guys at the Lakeway location offered great advice and seemed to actually care that my car was repaired correctly and at a fair price. They replaced pads and rotors, and they are working perfectly now.

Chris and his team at Lakeway have been fantastic helping with a couple of specialized issues with my car. Another garage gave up and said parts weren't available and I'd just have to accept it wouldn't pass the State inspection and have no legal car. Chris kept researching until he found a supplier, even though it took him quite considerable time and effort. They have been amazing at diagnosing oil leak issues and helping plan and implement solutions that work with our budget. Cars cost money and quality repairs are never cheap, but the customer service and dedication shown by this team led by Chris is outstanding. They have created a customer for life, no question.

I brought my Lexus RX 300 into Austin automotive about five or six years ago and left it there for the day with instructions to do normal maintenance, due to a car with 60,000 miles, including brake work, which at the time I thought would’ve been needed. At the end of the day upon returning to pick the car up and pay my bill I got a very pleasant surprise from shop manager, Chris, who explained that my brakes were in great condition and would probably serve at least 20 or 30,000 more miles. My bill came to some $45.60 I was impressed. So much so that at the time I gave a commitment to return when the brakes did need replacement. Chris has always been great to us. Honest, prompt, and always solution-centric without being overly sales-y. Great mechanic that we will continue to use.

My SUV is 10 years old with 105,000 miles. It unfortunately has a CVT transmission which are known to conk out at around 100k miles. I opted for a new transmission and Chris and his team found me one and did a great job getting installed and did not have to keep vehicle over 2 days. It runs great and will last me another 100,000 miles.

I had a mechanic for years in another area of Austin. Moving to Lakeway, I tried a couple of places but was getting ridiculously high estimates. I was referred to Chris by a friend. Chris is friendly, knowledgeable and most importantly for me, HONEST! Happy to have found MY mechanic.

They saved me a ton of money on my Range Rover versus going to the dealership. Straight forward & honest. - which is rare in automotive service businesses. 10/10 rating for my experience

What can I say? Nothing but praise for these guys. It is rare these days to find people that help you without expecting anything in return. Chris is one of those people. My son was stranded out of town in his car and Chris was not only extremely helpful, but called a few days later to check on the situation. I would trust them to work on any vehicle. Always friendly and helpful. They charge a fair price and try to find ways to save you money. Always get my oil changed there for my Subaru.

Just returned from Austin's Automotive Specialists in Lakeway. We used to take our cars there all the time when it was under Adam's management. After he left in 2018, things changed (not for the better), so we stopped going there. Well, the current manager, Chris, runs the place like Adam did...customer friendly, honest, no overselling. Pricing for a spark plug replacement that required the removal of the manifold was better than fair, and less than half of another area mechanic. Will be returning for our future maintenance and repair needs. Oct. 2023

AAS was able to schedule me extremely quick. The staff is amazing and very professional. The work was impeccable and affordable on my Land Rover that is out of warranty.

I was very happy with the honest, fast and fair business I did here. I brought in 2 cars for the free brake inspection and had one of them repaired.
