Kalamas Island Style (Cedar city)

Took mom here for her birthday dinner.... shades of home! Island comfort food at its Best!! Love the Kalua pig and Musubi. Ono!! Owners live the Aloha spirit. Good people for sure!!
Update: bought some more "comfort foods" Musubi and Manapua... Soooo Ono!!

Born and raised in Hawaii so I can confirm that this is AUTHENTIC Local style foods that I grew up eating.
We ordered the Kalua Moco, Chicken Katsu, Kalbi ribs, and Volcano fries and everything was as expected, Onolicious (Delicious)
Flavor and portions 5 ⭐
Price was average.
The Mac salad was my favorite. It was next level broke da mout action.
The Wahine owner was such a great person to meet, we were sad to hear they will be moving back home but so happy for them at the same time. Life’s to short to live it any other way than happy and how you want it to be. We will be making that little detour off the I-15 every time we pass by till they move back home.
If you’ve never eaten local Hawaiian style food before, don’t leave a bad review if you didn’t like the food. Just say you didn’t like the food, don’t correct them on they SHOULD have made if you’ve NEVER EATEN IT OR KNOW HOW THE DISH IS SUPPOSED TO BE MADE. Auwe 🤦🏽‍♂

One word… ONO! It’s hard for me to go to any place claiming “authentic Hawaiian” food, I am usually disappointed and leave feeling so homesick. Kalama’s is the real deal! We ordered Kalua Pork & Cabbage and Chicken Katsu. The flavor took me “home”! The portions were on point! The restaurant was clean and had a welcoming environment! Customer service PERFECT! Can not beat the price! Our Ohana will always come back!

I go here pretty regularly. Lots of dishes to choose from, but the chicken katsu is my go-to. So good!

I personally go here almost every day since I went there once. They are always kind and provide delicious food to me. We became very good friends and we even sometimes go gambling together.. They are real great people and they are real Hawaii lovers! I already recommended this restaurant to all my other friends!

Wasting there now. Pork short ribs are fantastic. This is an authentic Hawaiian restaurant. The owner was so kind. She gave me all the hint to visiting Hawaii.

Truly great comfort food! I highly suggest the chicken katsu, and Galbi.

Dinner was delicious. Reccomend the spare ribs. Stopped by passing thru and the lacrosse team Reccomended it. Great choice. Huge array of authentic options. Family that owns it was a delight speaking with and hearing stories of their home in Hawaii. Stop by and treat yourself. Add on a couple dumplings on the side while your at it. Definitely filled me with quality food and hospitality.

Wow! The best Hawaiian food. Reminds me of the Maui Island atmosphere. The Mac salad is absolute best.

Super flavorful and a lot more options than some of the other places in town! We got the kalbi ribs and Pelehu chicken plates and a lot of flavors. Lots of food for what you’re paying for! The mac salad was a little too much mayo but other than that 10/10 will definitely come back

Not sure what the Mac salad complaint was about. I’m pretty sure all meals come with Mac salad. And as a long time former resident of Hawaii this is a legit Mac salad. Mac salad is the hardest to get right. We had the Kalua and Katsu plates. Seriously good. Place was clean. Food was prepared to order, hot and fresh. Will be stopping again as we pass through Cedar City. Worth getting away from the center of town to find. Oh. Check out the Redondos hot dogs and Portuguese sausage in the fridge and the Hawaiian sun soda. Local. Authentic. Ono

I really like this place. The food was hot and fresh. The service was excellent. And the hospitality of the people there made me felt like I was with family. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to try real Hawaiian food.

Small place with limited seating, the food was excellent and plentiful. True Hawaiian options, also many extra products available to purchase from the islands.

Great food! We got a chicken katsu and teriyaki chicken plate, my wife loved the chicken katsu, I loved both. One plate meal was enough for us to share. We will definitely go back.

Editing my review because this place turned around. The food is so so good and the portions are HUGE. Everything was cooked to perfection. A little more sauce would be better though.

Kalamas is my absolute favorite place to eat Hawaiian food in all of Southern UT. Nobody else even comes close to legit Hawaiian food! Mahalo Kalamas! Ono grinds... definitely! 🌺 🌈
