Mac's Diner

Sam was my server and was very nice. I had the 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy with hash-browns. It was definitely enough to fill up this guys stomach. The biscuits were hot and fresh and the gravy was spot on. The view of course of the Rogue River is a huge plus! I definitely recommend stopping here to get some great comfort food and take in the beautiful river views! Thank you for the great service Sam!

I had the most amazing experience at this beautiful restaurant. To my surprise, my night here ended in me being proposed to. The owner, Heather make this night magical... She treated us like family. The atmosphere was incredible - Seating on the deck was a one of a kind view. She put a little heater out there so we could stay warm.. She set up music for us.. she even helped with the proposal. The food was amazing! Specifically the chicken marsala and the red cabbage... The Mimosa flight was so delicious! I will definitely be coming back here. Thank you again Heather for making this such a special evening. I will never forget it.

Absolutely Loved This Place! Please check it out if you're passing through. The place is cool, with a fantastic view. The staff is all friendly and helpful. More than one server was watching over me. It's nice seeing that kind of teamwork in a restaurant.

Mac's Diner is the spot to go in Shady Cove for sure! The food is fabulous and the atmosphere is awesome! It's a 50's themed diner with all sorts of cool memorabilia. They have booths that look out over the river for a beautiful dining setting. LeAnn and the rest of the staff are super friendly and eager to please. After a day on the river this is The place to unwind!

New owner plans to renovate the old building a little at a time.

Really awesome place, so much history and old car memorabilia. The place looked to have outdoor seating but was not available at the time. Really nice view of the river as well. The food was really great as well. They also have a bar area with additional seating.

Best breakfast I have had in all of Oregon. This place is amazing. Tucked way back by the river and draped in loads of nostalgic stuff from the 50s, this is the type of place my dad would eat at every day if he lived here. Loads of sandwiches that the kids enjoyed. Great corn beef hash that was def not from a can. Breakfast all day, can't go wrong. If you are in Shady Grove it's worth a stop. Spotted a ton of classic cars in the parking lot.

Love the vibe at this place. Love the different variety of burgers this place has and they’re all very good. Great place to go to relax and get a good meal.

THIS WAS THE BEST PLACE TO HAVE BREAKFAST! Their buffet was AMAZING and fair priced at $15 per person. Their Decor was SOOO COOL!!! It felt like I was in a diner from a movie with pictures all over the walls that were from the 50s-70s. The booths were so comfortable and outside the dining room window there was a great view of the river! THIS IS A MUST STOP PLACE!!! I will be making road trips down their way again just to stop by!

It was a little dark. It was our anniversary we enjoyed it very much.. The only thing that could have made it better is alcohol and desserts. $$$ thing. We will be back.

We were in Shady Cove for the weekend and were lucky enough to dine here for dinner on Saturday night and breakfast on Sunday of which the meals on both days were fantastic!
New York steak with added surf and turk (fried shrimp was what we chose) were delicious. Steak cooked to perfection with a delicious herb butter and the shrimp had an awesome apricot dipping sauce. Garlic green beans and a baked potato, side salad and garlic bread were included. Had a couple of delicious lemon drop martinis made by the sweet server Christy. (She knows the area well and had great recommendations for places to visit too!) There was also an awesome live band Saturday night in the attached lodge to dance all that yummy food off! So fun! Breakfast Sunday was the BEST French toast I’ve ever had! Some kind of lemon bread French toast? Banana pancakes that were perfect also and a mimosa flight to complete. Yum! Great place, great food, great service and we will definitely be back next time we are in town. Thanks Christy and Heather for such great meals and service.

Excellent chicken fried steak, river view and a friendly staff make Mac's a great idea when I'm in town again.

Just had Thanksgiving dinner at Mac’s Diner. Met the new owner, Heather, and all the servers including Marie who took great care of us. What an absolutely fabulous meal with warm and friendly care and service. Heather informed us it’s been hectic getting operations straightened out, and finally running smoothly, but it looked well oiled to us! Nice job!

This is a wonderful place to stop and eat. The atmosphere is so unique and right on the river. The staff is all friendly and amazing. The food, will leave you stuffed and more than satisfied. Everyone in our group had leftovers. The amazing waitress recommended the biscuits and so would I, so fluffy and perfect.

Loved this place. Eating with a view of the water was great. Perfect stop on a road trip for some good food.

The owner, heather is great. Super friendly, wants to ensure you’re happy and satisfied. Honestly, the best place you can go in shady cove for food. Anytime of day, Macs is the spot.

A really enjoyable lunch stop during a motorcycle ride around the Rogue Valley. Terrific 50s environment with friendly staff and tasty fare.
