Theara Spicy Kitchen

What a delicious sandwich. The price was a little steep but it's a smaller place and the care and experience make up for this. The only thing i will need to note is that it needed to be spicier so I'll make sure to ask next time and get a picture. Great service as well, very kind guy took my order. I'll be back!

Been meaning to try this place since it opened and I'm sad I didn't try it earlier. My partner and I shared the lemon grass chicken sandwich and the Cambodian buffalo wings. Ah-mazing! I really enjoyed the food and the brewy atmosphere was a great place for it. This will definitely be a go to place for me from now on.

First customer of the day, and owners were so welcoming! Got the sausage, pork meatball skewer, and delish eggrolls. Sorry no pix, forgot and ate it all!

nice addition to east beer! i popped in for a thai tea and was surprised to have waited for 25 minutes. by the time i got it most of the ice was melted, but it still tasted good. food looks great from the pictures and other reviews, just looks like they need to be properly staffed. it seems like the same person taking orders at the counter is also helping make the food and serve customers. i think if they staffed at least one more person especially on a saturday night, all the reviews would be positive.

Authentic and exotic. The Thai beef salad was incredible. The skewers are delicious very flavorful. The Khmer spring rolls are delicate and fantastic. I couldn't order enough they are like crack lol The food paired excellently with the brewery right beside it. The Galaxy IPA from East Regiment beer company was the best ipa I’ve had in Mass. This spot for food and beer is a must in Salem

What can I say? Their food is absolutely wonderful. Everything I have had from Theara has been delicious. It pairs very well with the beer from East Regiment. My personal favorites are the Cambodian egg rolls and the beef ginger. Keep up the amazing job Theara and Po. I love you guys.

Seriously terrific food. The Isaan sausage makes me dream of my time in Southeast Asia. Perfect mix of spice and lemongrass. Shares a space with a great brewery too!

Went to the East Regiment Taproom for a Hoamsy event and was surprised to find this place. We tried the Veggie egg rolls, both Bao buns along with Fried Rice and papaya salad. Amazing meal. The man at the front counter was very kind and explained the menu to us. Everything was fresh and Delicious. Highly recommend and will be back for more.

HOLY MOLY! Absolutely incredible. Absolutely authentic. I'm not at all ashamed to admit that the lemongrass chicken sandwich brought a literal tear to my eye. I've traveled a bit in southeast Asia, and I guess I didn't realize how indelibly etched into my memory some of that food is. The flavor of the chicken, the lemongrass, the flakiness of the bread crust...they brought back a tidal wave of memories from a cherished adventure. I'll be back, and back, and back until I get through the entire menu. And then I'll start over.

Very glad to have stumbled upon this place. It’s not always easy finding Southeast Asian restaurants. I ordered the papaya salad Lao style and chili garlic wings. The food is very authentic and flavorful. I wish I did not live so far out of town or else I would eat here every week! But definitely coming back here for my next visit to Salem.

Garlic chili wings and Cambodian fried rice are to die for. I love po and theara! They are passionate about what they do and will give you authentic Cambodian deliciousness!!!

The atmosphere of the location was very welcoming as well as its services. The food was really delicious. The papaya salad which is my favorite is very flavorful and it isn’t too salty with the perfect amount of seasonings, it comes with a side of cabbage which is very refreshing after taking a bite of the papaya salad. The essan sausage is perfect. It has a great spice to it and it’s very filling.

I had a bit of trouble placing my takeout order, but it was SO worth the effort! I got the Tom Yum (perfect, fresh ingredients, flavourful and warm on a cold day) for that evening, and the laab gai (truly, this was a standout dish, and the one i would most readily recommend) to be the next day's lunch.

We have been fans of Theara's since we tried their food at a festival. We're so thrilled that they found a permanent home here in Salem! Our go-to order is the lemongrass chicken sandwich, Nam tok, and of course the spicy Thai sausage. But we love it all!

First time trying this - the lemongrass chicken w/ rice was soooo good. Can't wait to have this again, and try out other dishes on their menu!
