Michigamme Shores Campground

This was just a beautiful location. We all had such a good time. The train is close but we barely noticed it and it went by only once a day. The store is well stocked and open until 8 pm which is convenient. The price of kayak rentals seemed a little high since no one used them and the bugs were horrible. So bring lots of protection. The bathrooms were clean and I'm picky in that department

We had the best time at this campground! All of the amenities were so awesome. The campground owner was so friendly and was so involved with activities for the kids. We could spend the whole summer up there! We will for sure be go back. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would.

Love this campground. Clean, quiet and lots of fun for families. Love that they have special events throughout the summer!

Great swimming experiences with large large inflatables. Great fun for big and little children. And adults.
Not much in the way of fishing.
Peaceful and friendly atmosphere. Actually we did not hear the train once as we were away often during the day.

Absolutely amazing. There were trails around our campsite that were good for a forest bathing. I camped during a big thunderstorm and my car battery died. The campground attendees helped me out right quick and got me back on the road. Absolutely amazing campground!!

Great Campground. Sites are nice. Amenities for kids is awesome. People are very friendly.

We love camping here. We always rent a cabin and enjoy staying in them. The water is so warm and the bounce stuff is a lot of fun!

Loved it! We were so happy with the spot as it was very large and positioned great and all of the campers around us were very nice. It is clean and there is a lot for family activity.

Five stars for being helpful the gentleman that cleans the bathroom literally bleaches the ceiling to floor... I stayed in a tent and I believe it was site 28 or 29 witch if you can understand that the highway is a stone's throw away and it's on a corner so the tire noise is tremendouslyto the point that we had our phone and speaker blaring and when traffic goes by can't hear it at all but when it wasn't going by we were blasting out the campground... Tent site number 76 is all mud it shouldn't even be a sight for tenting. I really really like the campground I just happen to make poor choices for sleeping in a tent next to a highway......

My parents camp here all summer. Great camp ground with friendly people. Nice swimming area with huge inflatable obstacle course, and a dock to put your boat . Beautiful lake views and a peaceful place.

Kids loved the place, as did we... Fun activities and a good place to camp. Never tried the food truck in front, wish we did. Train came through 3 times, but was pretty cool when it did

This campground has been under new management for 5 years,with many improvements.New picnic tables,fire pits,pavilion,water toys, beach toys, indoor beach bathrooms, new dock and showers just to name a few.If you are looking for family fun,this is definitely the place to come!

This is a great campground to stay at, great location with good amenities. They are always making improvements. It is far better then staying at the nearby state park.

We booked a site at this campground just through finding it on the internet. We were pleasantly surprised as sometimes places look a lot better online than they do in person. The campground was very clean and well kept. The kids loved the water slide, trampoline and the walk- on-water. The site was a really good size, lots of shade and level. Site # 42 was a short walk from the beach and dock. The staff and new owner were super nice and helpful. The bathrooms and shower were very clean. We used the laundry facilities a couple of times. If you like to sleep in, I believe the train comes through every morning around 8:00 and then again in the evening. We were almost always out on the lake when it came through, but could hear the whistle every morning. Would have been nice if the camp store would have sold bait, but it was a short drive to Champion to get what we needed. If you are going there to fish, be prepared for the rocky bottom of the lake as we lost many hooks and several lures due to that fact. A depth finder is a must if you are going to fish this lake. We caught a few keeper walleye, one keeper pike and a few keeper black crappie. We mainly trolled around 15 feet deep and jigged in 20 foot of water with leeches. Also dropped lines with minnows off the side of the boat catching a lot of rock bass, smallmouth bass and a few walleye this way.

New owners (2016?) They have really cleaned up the place! I see that several sites are being revamped (it's October and definitely off season), and they have added brand new RVs to rent.

Really nice campground, beautiful setting. It was quiet, but I am sure in the summer months it would be a favorite.

Literally the greatest place I've ever been, so insanely kids of all ages friendly they make a point to give the kids so many things to do..

Our family stayed last summer it was a blast! Lots of fun for the kids. Fish off the dock, swimming, and the kids train!

My family and I had a wonderful time at this beautiful camp ground. Strongly recommend staying here.
