I am 60 years old and really cannot afford to pay the kind of money most appliance repair or plumbers charge. After searching a list on line and talking to many people at these businesses who either didn't have time to help me figure out what was wrong or didn't know, I luckily found Jay's appliance. Jay not only took the time to figure out the problem he saved me close to 100 bucks. Jay's Appliance will always be me choice and highly recommend them to everyone.

Absolutely wonderful. Jay's Small Engine & Appliance is the only place to go to for all your small engine & appliance service, repairs, blades sharpened, and repairs for your equipment. The owner, Jay is super friendly, helpful, honest and cares about each and every customer that walks through his doors. Yes he's really slow. Yes he's very disorganized. But he is a VERY good at fixing small motors, at a fair price. Just have him do the repair on site, don't let him take the machine, or if you do, get a receipt for it and keep a photo of it And don't pay him til the work is done. He fixed my dad's old lawn mower that now
works like a charm, and an old floor fan.

bought a washer and was supposed to be warrantied for a year, have called several times the past 6 months. was told he would send someone over, never have had a repair person come. still will not call me back after leaving several messages. will not honor the 1 year warranty or his own work.

All of these negative posts are 100% accurate. Jay picked up my lawnmower and trimmer first week of April for his "tune up" special advertised in local paper. After a month of calling him he delivered my mower. Said the trimmer would be done next day. Today is August 21st and I went and got my trimmer today...nothing had been done. This is after multiple calls and visits to his store WEEKLY, every time getting a new excuse. On one of my visits he actually shook my hand and looked me in the eye and said "man to man, I give you my word I will handle this tomorrow". The last two weeks have been the excuse of parts not coming in yet. I got online and could have had the parts delivered to my house in two days. Instead I went locally and bought the parts to bring to him. These were the last two parts he needed to finish the job. I got there with parts and asked to see the trimmer. It had not been touched. He is a lying, cheating, poor excuse of a business person. I walked out of there with my trimmer and all I got was a snicker/laugh from his daughter.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY! due to house warranty that our landlord bought he was called to come check out our gas stove in APRIL 2015, after seeing what the issue was he was supposed to let the warranty people know so that he could order the part. WE NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN! I contacted him in JULY of 2015 & he wanted me to call the warranty people for him to find out the issue as he bad NO PAPERWORK on my stove. Long story short in September he finally got the OK to come back because he had to start the process all over again & we had already written him a check the first time but he said he would be back to fix the stove. NO SHOW! I call the warranty company AGAIN & they proceed to tell me they have NO RECORDS OF HIM EVER COMING OUT. So at least he was paid $85 bucks (our co pay) for doing absolutely jack! IF I CAN KEEP JUST ONE PERSON AWAY FROM HIM I'LL BE HAPPY!

Most dishonest store around.. Owner refuses to be truthful with customers always giving the run around about appointment times, when repairs will be completed and lies saying he ordered parts when he hasn't. He's known for taking people's money and never doing the work. Place is health hazard dirty looks like a hoarders case! As well as not child friendly due to he has a Known Sexual Predator of children who works there on Saturday. Best part of the place is Mike who will not bs u and is honest with work!

Jay came to our home to answer a service call for a broken down refrigerator. Jay was very friendly and came to our home and promised to return the following day to repair the refrigerator. He took 100.00 as a deposit. Cashed the check the same day and we never heard back from him. We called his shop, the person who answered the phone said he didn't know anything about our broken refrigerator or an ordered part. The person also said he didn't know how to get a hold of Jay but he would have him call us back. Jay never called back until the following Monday. I called the police to report theft of service and my husband told Jay to return our 100.00. Jay called back shortly after this conversation to inform my husband that we would not be getting our 100.00 back because he was charging us for a service call. Do not do business with this man, he is a crook, a thief, and dishonest person. He should go out of business! I am not the only person in this town who he has swindled either. BEWARE AND NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN!!

Should be zero stars. Made appointment for afternoon. When making appointment really couldn't get them to say I'll be there around 1 or 2 just afternoon. Waited and waited and finally called to find out what was up. Guy took my number told me have repairman call me. 2.5 hours later no call and no repair guy has shown up. Call back and person answers phone. Tells me he'll have to wait for person to come back to shop before I can find out when he'll be down here. I told him to never mind I was moving on with another company.

Came to repair 2 yr old washer that was in balanced , took it apart , said she needed a new washer he could repair it for 5-6 hundred , but took service charge and didn't hear from him for 2 weeks . Called Maytag and they are sending out a different repair service and covering it under the warrantee.

STAY AWAY from this business. We were told the part needed to repair our stove would take 5-7 business days to arrive. Twenty-two business days later the part had yet to arrive. I contacted the parts distributor and found out the part had never been ordered. Now we are having to dispute the charge on our credit card.

Worst possible service you could imagine. Forced to use them by the manufacturer for warranty service. 2 months of lies before he even started work. You cannot reach him on the phone. Holds your item hostage. Go anywhere else. Stay away at all costs.

Finally got my dryer after almost a month..of no- shows and excuses
But he scratched up my new dryer & never said a word.was supposed to " come right.back" to finish the job never showed up ..I was gonna tell him to piss- off anyway! This business is a JOKE....bad service...dishonest..

Dropped off chainsaw 8 months ago still hasnt finished the job. now they wont give me my chainsaw back so i can take it some wheres else. calling the police today to try to retrieve my property.

Absolutely horrible does not give realistic time frames tells people what they want to hear so he doesnt have to honor commitment and paid in advance highly recommend never going to this place need less to say still haven't got my item back
