This long time small business is great! Staff and ownership are friendly and helpful. The store is overflowing with punk, goth, and rock-n-roll shirts, pins, patches, dresses, shoes, skirts, and tops. Not to mention the fun kitschy things like books, finger puppets, earrings, and other accessories that make awesome gifts!

Super cool store!! Pin up to the max and also cute like monster and goth fashion too. Cute shoes. Cute dresses. Some of the dresses go up to 1X but mostly just size 16 on most things. Over all amazing. Lots of fun costume or day to day wear. Will 100% come back. Also not super expensive like I was expecting. Love this store. Store owner is nice as well. She's adorable too. Lots of monster movie posters. Has that rock-a-billy feel all the way.

I ordered a dress online that I wanted to wear for NYE and I emailed explaining how I needed it expedited but didn't have that option when ordering. Julian was so quick and helpful and got everything sorted for me and my dress arrived just in time. It was beautiful and got so many compliments. A girl in the bathroom even started following the store instagram because of it.

Such a cute spooky little shop! Unfortunately they didn’t have the size I needed for the dress that I wanted the most, however I did find lots of other great items and trinkets! Definitely recommend checking it out.

I had a great experience here. The sales person was so helpful and friendly, helped me pick out the perfect dress. There were so many cute items and pretty reasonable prices too. I’m happy to have the store in my neighborhood!

Love this place! Julian (the owner) is always on the lookout for the coolest new styles, and so many of the dresses have pockets. Plus there's just a bunch of funky knick knacks that make the store one of a kind.

We found some great people and many one of a kind gifts. The owner actually took time to explore with me and my daughter. The other sales lady was friendly too.
We were on the hunt for some birthday “punk” items. My daughter is turning 11 and she’s into Scenecore. Their selection was impressive, it was hard to limit our choices and the experience was worth it! Great birthday memories made. It’s a Portland gem in a vintage house. I can see myself spending way too much here for just myself.
Just like us Portlanders this place is punk, fun and a little weird but still super cool.

Amazing and diverse selection of independent brands. High style for low prices.
Do you lack a sense of humor or a sense of style?- keep strolling boyfriend, this ain't for you.
I now live out of town and have recently discovered just how wonderful and accommodating their shipping policy is. ( Written during Covid-time so it's especially appreciated.)
This shop may epitomize SouthEast Portland Oregon and is highly recommended.

Not sure why it's taken me this long to review, but if I could give 10 stars, I would! I've been shopping at Naked City Clothing ever since moving to the PDX area in 2012; I stumbled upon it one day (when it was back on Hawthorne) and thought I had died and gone to alternative heaven! This is THE place for cute and stylish clothing and accessories if you are into gothic, punk, rockabilly, pinup, 80s, vintage, or anything along that spectrum. There's some fantastic quality clothing pieces, as well as more affordable stuff, a huge range of accessories, a wide variety of home decor, and tons of fun little knick-knacks scattered around the store; it's so delightful just having a look around! Definitely check out the website first to get a feel for all that they have to offer, due to the limited in-store shopping times (I highly recommend curbside pickup for those in the PDX area!).
The owner, Julian, is the sweetest person, and you can really feel the love that she has for her shop and customers (and PeeWee 😍). The pandemic was so hard on tiny shops like hers, but I was more than happy to support her from afar and get my spooky wear by shopping online. I'm so glad the shop survived! It is my mecca. I always get compliments on things that I've purchased there, and I always make sure to let them know that "I got it at Naked City Clothing!" 😉

The most unique store in all of Portland, and one of my faves! Best place to buy patches and pins, HUGE selection, frequently updated. Vintage style dresses in all sizes. (I once wanted a larger size than what they carried in-store, and they special ordered it for me!) Cool t-shirts, think horror/punk type designs. Unique various ladies items like shoes/sexy stockings/ socks/ purses. Jewelry and chain wallets available too. Staff is super friendly.

For everyone posting that they went all the way there and the shop was closed and “they’re never going again”... it’s a global pandemic and their website ABSOLUTELY states that they are still closed for in-store shopping. If you’re going to make such an apparently inconvenient trip somewhere, maybe try calling and double checking that a place is open. As someone who has worked for several small businesses I know how much of a nightmare it can be to get google to update their info for a business. It took over a month for them to update our new location once. This is honestly akin to people giving 1 star reviews because their GPS took them out of the way.
This small store is amazing and the owner is a fantastic woman who works very hard to keep cool things available while still needing to keep themself safe.

My favorite store in Portland I go there at least once a month and spend ...spend..... spend..... I feel no regrets !!!! The owner/operator is a very cool chick/punk rocker who has amazing style,!!! She doesn’t miss a beat when it comes to her shop , Naked City has a “UNIQUE FLAVOR” Providing Portland’s “cool kids” with clothing and accessories ....you will not find anywhere else !!!!
Naked City is also supportive of the local artists and small businesses and I really think that makes them superfrickinawesome....YEAH...!!!

This is the best clothing shop for women and LGBTQ+ who frequent the goth, rockabilly, etc scenes or just really adore some of those alternative fashions. Great assortment of patches, broaches, and other spooky accessories! Lots of skirts with pockets and bonus points that the clothing tends to come from small American businesses.
