Baja Mar Seafood

We stayed at the Americana and got some breakfast burritos before hitting the road again, and I can honestly say they’re some of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had! And this is coming from a first gen Mexican living in Texas! The portions are very filling and delicious. Definitely worth a visit when you’re in Flagstaff, I know we will be back :)

Really tasty and filling shrimp tacos. Good place to eat if you've been traveling all day, the staff was really nice!

Honest to god. I am from LA I have went to 7 Michelin restaurants and I can honestly say this is the single best food truck I have been to in years. The owner is a fantastic person making the food how he would like to eat it. 11/10 recommend going before you go to snow bowl and after because you WILL BE FULL!

Wow! Fantastic Mexican Seafood!

My wife had this truck come up on her FB feed. We thought, “Wow. We’ll have to try it.” Thing is, he is usually at the Chevron on Fort Valley Road. That’s on the other side of town for us.

Then, I went into town to run a few errands on Saturday. On the way back I swung into Silver Saddle Center to top off my tank, only to find Baja Mar right in front of me!!

So, I had a quick chat with the owner and soon came back with my wife.

My wife got that shrimp taco. I got one of the fish tacos and the ceviche Baja Mar with shrimp and octopus. This is not small food. My wife could barely polish off her shrimp taco. The fish taco might be the best fish taco in Flag. (…and we have some contenders.) But, the ceviche is THE best I’ve found in town! Hands down! So nice to know I have a new place in town for great seafood and really fresh octopus.

Give this truck a try! It is well worth it!

Omg 😳 this was the best sea 🌊 food we had in a long long time. We had the shrimp 🍤 tacos, fish tacos, fish quasedia and the shrimp 🦐 cocktail 🍹. Every single thing was so delicious with so much shrimps. Absolutely amazing 🤩. We will be back and recommend this to anyone passing to flagstaff. They do not have a physical location- they are a truck and you will find them in the same spot most times. If you Don’t just call/ chat and they respond within minutes.

11/10. So flavourful and fresh! Had tacos with carne asado and with shrimps. They were absolutely unbelievable and I am soooo happy that we found this food truck. Oh, and it should be noted that the owner is a really nice guy.

Miss those authentic taco truck tacos from Brooklyn or Rocky Point? Look no further. These are the real deal. Portions are as generous as the flavor is rich. Service is prompt and friendly.

Food was so so so good! The workers were super friendly and got us a free drink. Both the tacos and the quesadillas were sooooo good. One of the best we had. Highly recommend the shrimp and asada ones 🥰

Edit: Was back in Flag a couple weeks ago (mid April 2024) and the Baja Mar truck was back! Wasn’t open, but I was glad to see it there anyhow. Delicious place.

This place was so delicious and the owner was super nice, but unfortunately, it looks like it’s no longer there. At least not at this location anymore.

WOW! This place blew me away!! The tacos cost about $5.50 or $6 each and are loaded up - totally reasonable and worth the price. This is some of the best seafood I have ever had anywhere! Both the shrimp and fish tacos were fresh and filling. The sauce was so delicious! I will absolutely be back. Thank you for the amazing food.

What can I say, best tacos I've had in Flagstaff for a longgggg time! I just got a shrimp taco and a fish taco, and it was amazing. SO many ingredients. They did it so quickly, with the biggest slab of fish and giant shrimp I've ever seen. Definitely worth the price just based on quantity, but based on flavor, they could be charging twice as much. I'm telling everyone I know about this place because it was simply amazing.

Staff is friendly and service is fast . Atmosphere is great . Y el ceviche muy bueno .

I only get one thing here. I am probably missing out on other great food, but I can't help it. The SHRIMP TACOS are outstanding! I am so cheap I hardly pay for food anywhere, but I keep going back to Baja Mar. Two shrimp tacos for $13.50 is very fair for these large prawn, stuffed tacos! Thank you.

Great seafood based menu (although the Barbacoa Tacos are awesome too)! Really fresh seafood and delicious sauces - spicy with deep flavors. Fresh vegetables, super clean. Friendly and delicious!

Amazing food! It was very fresh and seasoned well. I highly recommend the Governor taco with the spicy salsa! All the tacos are great. The quesadilla was essentially a closed taco and was perfect for dipping in the spicy salsa. I hope more people find this food truck and try it. Definitely one of the best places to eat seafood in Flagstaff!

10 stars. I’m really picky about Mexican food and fried shrimp tacos since I’m from Northern Mexico and I’m used to really good fresh Mexican seafood. These Jumbo battered fried shrimp tacos are very high quality, despite being in Flagstaff. This food cart specializes in seafood but I also tried a “carne asada” taco assuming it wasn’t going to be good, but it tasted really good. It wasn’t real carne asada in the sense that it was pan fried rather than chargrilled over an open fire, seasoned with only salt. However, it was tender and the seasonings were really nice, like a seasoned salt. My only complaint is I wish they served tacos with cabbage not lettuce, as is more the norm in Mexico. But this is just my personal preference. They also
Have non fried healthy stuff like ceviche and seafood cocktails. Also VERY friendly nice people. Go eat there and support them!

Wow, I was not expecting the fish and shrimp to taste so good since this is a landlocked state.

Had the fish taco, shrimp taco, and governor taco. All fantastic. Governor was the best one. Salsa tastes great and has a little kick.

Definitely coming back

Not only is it a 5 star in terms of taste, the menu is just the right amount of creative while maintaining the comfort of familiarity. Very happy with the portion sizes. The employees were communicative & straightforward. There is also attention to detail, you can tell lots of love went into these recipes!

Driving from Chicago area to CA. Was looking for ceviche. Awesome food. Portion was good. Highly recommend. I loved it. Got ceviche and cheese quesadilla to eat at motel.
