Fred Meyer Grocery Pickup and Delivery

This store was across the street from the airbnb we rent, prices are decent. Store clean. Good quality of everything. This is a store we need to have all over the country

Great service by Kaila (Customer Service) @ Fred Meyer 3030 NE Weiler St., Portland, OR 97232 on 4/24/23 @ 10:50 am. She was helpful with other clients before me. A very patient worker/staff member, cheerful & that help to bright up my day. Very few worker are like her now.

Although they no longer have in-store seats in the deli and a second floor seating area, it's still a very nice Freddy's with lots of variety and reasonable prices.

Worked for this company for 9 yrs in my 20s. They taught me so much. Head cashier, frozen food, how to run a warehouse, and management. Thanks you guys. I think my old emp # was 002396.

Where you can drag your own cart into the store and bag your own groceries at all times. Good produce and selection of beers. Butcher shop folks are nice and helpful. Bakery is done right.

Done the pick up service 6 times now and it’s 50/50 if everything goes smoothly. It’s a great concept in theory but still has some room for improvement.

1. You have no control over the produce you are getting. Had some damaged containers and molding produce during pick ups. This happened 1/6 times I’ve ordered.

2. If you clip the coupons, you may be getting less produce when you arrive and still be getting charged the same price.

For example, I’ve used the $15 off $75 a few times, the latest time my total was $53 (with that coupon and others applied) for a basket subtotal of $76.

However when i went to pick up, was told $13 worth of produce was out of stock with no substitute. My total was then $52.

So I basically paid the same amount for less things. If I was notified before then I would have added other produce and been able to use the coupons again and get more for the same price like the few I thought I was getting, but instead I feel like I was bated to shop for some great deals that don’t actually follow through.

This also happened on a previous order where my total went up because they were out of something and it negated the coupon making me pay more. This has happened 2/6 times.

So pick up can be convenient but it is also a gamble on what you are getting and how much you are actually getting it for.

Do with that what you like.

Never fully staffed so the waiting time in lines is ridiculous and unfortunately the store is rather dirty, overpriced, and I would recommend going to a different Fred Meyer location. For positives, the staff I interacted with were friendly and very helpful.

Maybe my least favorite Freddy’s in Portland. Feels like a Walmart. It’s chaotic and unfriendly. Way too big for me.
