The City of Angels Tattoo

This review is long overdue. Got my first tattoo ever 10/22/22 at an age of 50+ years, unfortunately a tribute to my oldest son who passed away.
I was very nervous to say the least. Tony was cool and calm, explained everything, his shop is small and cozy and clean. The same idea that I had sketched out for a tat was already sitting at his station like it was waiting for me. My son's name is also Anthony. And the shop's address contains significant numbers for my family. I knew I was in the right place! Things went well and my tattoo came out beautifully. So glad I found City of Angels!

First tattoo’s I’ve ever gotten. Puppet did a great job creating exactly what I wanted. Clean, fresh, and cool atmosphere. Price was reasonable and great. Would highly recommend!

Believe it or not, I stumbled upon Puppet and COA by chance.
That day I had spontaneously gone to get tatted at a different place near me. (One which I had been to before). However, it was one late Sunday afternoon, and *thankfully* (as it turns out) that place was fully booked.

I was determined not to starve my impulsivity though and once back in my truck, I hit up Google. *City Of Angels* COA - the only place still open, so off I went. I actually think I got pretty lucky with walking in just when I did. It was simply meant to be.

Puppet is a true artist. Sitting there getting poked by him, I felt like I had come home.
As a matter of fact, just a few days later he made time for my daughter to get her very first tattoo, before heading off to college.

I can't even envisage going anywhere else, for my/any future tattoos!
- I'll keep comin' till I get kicked out, lol.

We had such a good experience! Puppet was able to freehand our stencil and it looked beautiful. He was able to work with us on sizing to make sure it was exactly what we were looking for. I would highly recommend!

The best tattoo I have absolutely ever gotten. First the amount of detail there was, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING so precise, so clean, it’s absolutely beautiful. Next let me tell you how I almost fell asleep while getting it done, zero pain at some moments I barely even felt the needle and if it wasn’t for hearing it I wouldn’t have thought it was on. Then done so fast which was shocking when you see all the details. The artist himself very welcoming great customer service took me in without having a prior appointment. I have found my go to spot I’ll be getting all my tattoos done here!

First tattoo and it was a great experience. Gentle and eased my nerves, not painful at all. Took into consideration my idea of the tattoo I got and I am in love with it. My go to spot from now on for sure. 100/10 recommend. Will recommend to close friends and family.

Puppet was such a sweetheart! He opened up early for us because we were on a tight schedule and did three small tattoos in an hour! The tattoo was for my mom, sister, and I so it was incredibly important to us! It came out absolutely beautiful!

My experience was AMAZING!!! Puppet is so nice and creative minded when he draws. Not to mention HE FREEHANDS! That's really impressive even for a tattoo artist drawing on the spot. Hies establishment is extremely clean, and he uses fresh, new needles per customer. He keeps your skin moisturized the entire process as well. This was my first tat I drew myself and he refined it, translating my EXACT feelings for my original drawing which made me immensely happy. It took about 4.5hrs to do this, but it was very detailed and symmetrical which I can appreciate knowing my ocd. His line work is very clean and consistent as well as all the grayscale translation colour wise. He has amazing work and I've already recommended him many times over. I'll definitely be going back!

Amazing work by Puppet. My boyfriend and I called last minute and each managed to get clean and amazing tattoos. He was so quick and welcoming, I'm only sad I just found out about his work or I would already have a bunch of tattoos done by him! Will definitely be back!!

My fiancé and I came in for two tattoos and Antonio did an amazing job. Definitely a five star experience. Very professional and kind. Great prices.
