Biederman’s

It’s my first time eating Pastrami Lox (highly seasoned Salmon that has been preserved with smoke). I must say that it tastes amazing even though it’s salty. They also sell various kinds of high quality products/ ingredients such as Caviar etc. But please note that they sell everything separately, and can’t dine in. I was going to try their Caviar and bagel too, but sadly I already bought other food from another shop. Will definitely go back there to try other menu!

I had been wanting to try one of the Brunch Boards since they opened but I never had the opportunity to have a large enough group of people that loved a good smoked salmon (3 ways) and all of the accouterments.

We had some people over the other weekend and this was the perfect opportunity. Everything is displayed beautifully in the togo box and you get a bag with everything else to set up when you get home. It has everything you can think of. I will try to list as much as I can but I am sure I will miss something:

Hand-sliced smoked salmon
Bagels (Choice of ET/Sesame/Poppy/Plain/Pumpernickel)
Cream cheese (Plain or Scallion)
Pickled onions,
Tomatoes,
Cucumbers
Olives
Capers and my favorite Caper Berries
and a dessert item (we got 2 differnt flaovred rugela)

There were 3 types of Salmon too, Scottish Dry Cured Salmon, Pastrami Sliced Salmon, and Gravlax).

I think the Pastrami was my favorite, but I can tell you there was none left. I also added in a 1/2 pound of their whitefish salad and it was the best I have ever had. My 3 friends (who have eaten their fair share of WF salad agreed)

All in all, I am sad about one thing. I waited so long to pull the trigger and order this board. But I do know I am ordering another for the next weekend when my in-laws come to visit.

The lox was insanely good, soft and buttery, maybe the best I ever had. I was not prepared for the pastrami style lox to taste so good. The scallion cream cheese was also spot on. I am excited to go back and try some other stuff like hamentashen. The lox is def not cheap, but if you want the best I'd check it out.

The presentation is just the beginning, the Pastrami Lox is a whole experience by itself. Everything was near perfection, fresh flavorful tomatoes, crunchy pickles and cucumbers, superb bagels ... yeah, everything is on point. I called late on Friday and they were still able to get it done. If you are a Smoked Salmon person, do yourself a huge favor, grab a board, roll home and let the magic begin.

We have ordered lox here before - everything is scrumptious. Today, we picked up desserts for Passover and a few knick-knacks. It’s a wonderful store with very friendly staff; I highly recommend visiting! You will not be disappointed!

Small little deli. The man behind the counter was very friendly and helped us pick out what to try. We ended up trying pieces of the Scottish lox. Perfectly smoked and melted in my house. Fantastic.

Amazing, super friendly, delicious smoked salmon of all kinds. Such a good variety on the fridge of butters, cream cheese, soup!, and so much more. The store front is beautiful and so well designed, can't wait to try all the delicious jams stocked on the walls too. And the baked goods are delicious! Already a favorite spot for us

We ordered a brunch board for 6 for Mother's Day. It was excellent. Wonderful display of smoked fish with all the trimmings, capers, pickled onions and great bagels. Plus Sweet Tooth cupcakes as well. Great food and friendly staff. What more could you ask for?

It is a charming space in Philly’s Italian Market. The fish salads, freshly cut lox, and soups are fresh and delicious! Great bagels and salt sticks and all kinds of baked goods. So excited for their chocolate covered jelly rings. This is a very special place!

Amazing smoked fish. Not cheap but worth every penny. The kippered salmon was nothing short of amazing. The cream cheeses are also very good.

I have never had lox and fish as good as this place. In 62 years of eating lox, Biederman’s is hands down, the best ! It’s a little pricey, but well worth it. I’m just sorry I didn’t find this eatery sooner ! Delicious!!!

Hooked on pastrami lox forever. Great bagels and knishes. Great homemade items like salads and other things. Fancy butters, challah rolls and lots of other goodies. Amazing place
